Months passed by before we finally left Kekini's planet.

"You sure you don't want to stay? It's gonna be dangerous," I said to Kekini, who had her heart set on going.

"I can't let my friends go out there and stay here, wondering day to day if they're still alive," Kekini shook her head. "Besides, I can be your healer! The Nā Mea Nani have a much better healing system than the Alteans did! I can heal injuries faster than pods!"

"Alright, just be sure to say goodbye to your family."

"I already did. They know that I get bored on this planet, and they think I'm old enough to fight along side my friends."

"Alright. We'll be lifting off in a few dobashes, so you can't turn back now."

Kekini shook her head and went to the kitchen, where Hunk was cooking. I went to the lounge, where I saw Lance and Pidge arguing.

"I was totally a good pilot back then!" Lance exclaimed. "Iverson was just a bad teacher!"

"Iverson has taught for over twenty years now," Pidge countered, "I think you were just a bad student."

"What's going on here?" I asked, smirking.

"Lance thinks he was a good pilot back in his Garrison days," Pidge explained.

"I was!" Lance said.

"How many times would he crash a day?"

"He would crash every time he piloted," Pidge snickered. I giggled.

"Sorry Lance, I'm going to have to side with Pidge on this one."

"Aw, c'mon Jade! I thought we were twins!"

"Just because we are twins doesn't mean we always side with each other."

"Whatever, you just don't agree with me because Mullet's your boyfriend!"

"Wha- speaking of Keith, I never did get to murder you for that dare!"

"You know you liked it, agghhh!"

I spent the rest of the afternoon chasing Lance around the castle, but he eventually hid  to where I couldn't find him, not even with my sharp sense of smell. I decided to go get dinner, where I found an exhausted Keith and Shiro.

"How was your mission?" I asked. Keith shook his head.

"He's tired," Shiro said anxiously, but I could tell from the worry in his eyes that he was lying.

"Tell me the truth."

Keith stood up and walked out.

"I'll let him tell you," and with that Shiro walked out too.

"Okay! Just leave me here! I won't wonder at all why you two are acting so depressed! Quiznaking idiots!"

Lance walked in. "Are you still gonna kill me?"

"Not if you tell me what their mission was."

"Ohhh, they went to some secret base in between two black holes, I think it was the Blade of Marmora."

"Oh, okay, sounds boring."

"Something big happened there, but they won't tell anyone what."

"Let me see if I can go pester the answer out of them," I said, leaving the room. Instead, i ran back to my room, where I grabbed a bracelet. It lit up as I brought my mouth to it and I spoke into it. "The location of the Marmora base is in between two black holes near the star Sirius B."

"Good, my Oboroten, you are loyal after all. All you have to do now is get me Voltron, and you will be free from your curse," Honerva's voice said to me.

I threw the bracelet across the room and started crying silently. I can't believe I was doing this, against my will too. I wanted to die, wanted it all to be over. I hated manipulating people, but it was in my Oboroten nature.

I heard sharp yelps from the next room over, which was Keith's. I walked out of my room to his, and knocked.

"Keith, you okay? Can I come in?"

"No! Stay out! I'm fine!" His voice yelled back. He gave another yelp of pain.

"Keith, open the door! You are not okay!" I started pulling the door open, which was not as easy as it looked. Once I was able to step through, I saw Keith lying in his bed, sheets covering his entire body. I yanked them offm and saw Keith, except, he was different.

His ears were larger and longer, his skin was purple, and he had two pointy marks on each cheek. When he opened his eyes, they glowed a bright yellow.

"Y-you're Galra??"

Keith nodded his head slowly, eyes glossy, as if he was on the verge of tears. Without words, I walked over to him and pulled him into my arms, letting him know that I accepted him, that I loved him. I don't know why or how these feelings came, but I didn't care. I loved Keith Kogane, and I needed him to know that. I felt his strong arms hug me back, glad that I accepted him.

"J-Jade?"

"Yeah?"

"Promise you'll never leave me."

"Just as long as you promise the same."

"I swear on my lion I will never leave you Jade. I love you, and I never want to leave you."

"I love you too."

"Will the others accept me?"

"I did, so they must. Even if they don't, Shiro and I will always be here."

"Thanks."

We sat there embracing each other, and I thought about the lie I had just told. I couldn't always be there for him, but I wanted to. I wanted to be able to love him, but I couldn't. Not until I got Aunt Honerva what she wanted. But could I bring myself to do it?

Could I betray my friends?

Should I betray my friends?
