The next day, Keith left on a mission for the Blades while the rest of us plotted our next move.

"Okay, So we want half the rebel fighter at the main entrance, while the other half at the cargo docks."

"That cargo docks? That's stupid. There won't be many guards there, which will make it easier to sneak in," Jared pointed out.

"True," I replied. Jared and I were assigned where to place the rebel fighter, Shiro and Allura planned Voltron's move, Kiwi and Lance worked on finding uses for the Na Mea Nani, and Pidge, Matt and Hunk figured out the Balmera and Olkari's uses.  "So where should we place them instead?"

"The cruiser docks. They'll think the rebels are attacking with a poorly organized plan, which will make them let their guard down. We can sneak in through the cargo docks, take any guards we see out, and shut down any and every communication system. After that, you'll go find Haggar, kick her ass, and I'll take on her druids."

"Sounds good to me," I said. "Should we go check up on Kiwi and Lance? I feel like she'll be drooling over him and he'll be taking selfies."

"Yeah, lets go," Jared said, and we got up to see how they were doing. I was wrong, but it wasn't like they were exactly productive either.

"So, uhh, where should we put the healers?" Kekini asked. "Nani, planning is so harrrddd!"

"Uhhh, oh, hey Jade!" Lance said, relieved. "Do you think you could help us?"

"Fiiine, you two look like you need it anyway."

After finishing planning, we all went to eat lunch, and things seemed fairly cheerful. Pidge, Hunk, and Matt geeked out cheerfully, the adults ((Shiro, Coran, Allura)) talked and joked on their side of the table, which left Kiwi, Jared, Lance and I to be our own stupid selves. Kekini was currently telling the group one of my embarrassing childhood stories.

"And So then she's tried flapping her wings made out of leaves, jumped off the rock, and landed on her butt!" Kekini giggled. "The look on her face was priceless!"

I groaned while Jared and Lance laughed. "You sounded like a cute kid," Lance snickered.

"For your information, I was curious," I replied, trying not to smile. "I was just experimenting."

"Oh please, Jade, you were like twelve!" Kiwi was nearly banging the table. "I thought you would know!"

"Okay fine, I was a stupid child, but I am much smarter now!"

"Pshhhh," Lance said.

"Oh you're one to talk!" I said sharply.

"But I didn't say anything!"

"Quit being a smartass, you know what I mean!" I said, now grinning. Suddenly, the door to the dining room opened, with Keith standing there, looking nervous.

"Hey Keith! Come on over!" Jared said, making me wince. I knew that look all too well. Keith was about to make a huge announcement.

"Keith, where were you?" Shiro asked. "You were supposed to be back before lunch."

"The mission failed," Keith said. "W-We lost a member."

"I'm sure he's in a better place now," Allura said calmly. "Come eat."

"Actually, I'd rather not," Keith said. "In fact, there's something I wanted to talk to you all about."

Everyone turned to face him, and he sighed.

"I-I'm leaving Voltron."

There was a silence before Lance broke it. "That was blunt."

"I just don't think that I'm of any use to Voltron anymore, I've been sitting around doing nothing. I feel like the Blade needs me more right now."
