Honerva was sitting next to the emperor of the universe, clearly deep in thought, her white eyebrows furrowed and a frown on her face. Tubes of quintessence flowed into Zarkon's body, but his eyes were still shut. I could somehow tell he wasn't dead, even if he looked it.
Honerva looked straight at me. The witch frowned even deeper.
"So, you've decided to spy on me and my dying husband. Charming," she sneered. "You've betrayed the Galra, you are a disgrace."
"Look, I'm sorry about your husband, but I have a family to protect too. You lied to me as well, you know. You asked me to turn the paladins in, in return for my family. Lance is my family, and so is the rest of Voltron now." I said calmly, "we both betrayed each other, and we do what we believe is right."
"Then we understand each other," Honerva said, "I respect you, Oboroten, but that does not mean I will not kill you. Just because you are my family does not mean I do not hate you."
"Believe me, the feeling is mutual," I deadpanned. I looked at my uncle. Honerva told me about him and her when they were younger, and I had believed they were good people, but not anymore.
"Just because Zarkon is weak does not mean the rest of the Galra are. My son may be rebellious, but he will outsmart you dimwits," Honerva said. I raised an eyebrow.
"Lotor? So that's how he turned out. How is he doing?" I asked. It felt strangely normal to carry such an average conversation with the most powerful woman in the universe, who also happened to be my enemy.
"I have not heard from him, he was sent to a Galra base far from here long ago." Honerva said.
"Aunt Honerva?"
"Speak."
"Why don't we just talk out the war? Wouldn't that spare the lives of your people and mine?"
"You just want to rebuild your trust with that boy, don't you?" I winced. She knew me too well. "You've never even shown much affection to him, but he will be your downfall, I can see it in your eyes."
"Enough about Keith," I said. "Technically, you are in charge for the time being. Why couldn't we talk out the war?"
"I will not rest until I have Voltron and the universe is in the Galra's power," Honerva snapped. "That is the only peaceful agreement."
"You can have Voltron," I said, "but you cannot have it's paladins, Kekini's planet and Earth. I don't care for the rest of the universe, I just want my people safe."
"You are more like me than I thought, niece," Honerva smiled evilly. "But alas, I am not in charge. Lotor is to make that decision, and if he has any wisdom, he will take Voltron down."
I frowned. "War it is."
Haggar smiled wider, so that it looked slightly insane. "Indeed. DRUIDS! Summon Prince Lotor!"

I woke up in a cold sweat, and looked around panicked before I realized I was in my room, with Kekini fast asleep next to me. I sighed and checked my watch, it was about 3:00 am in Cuba on Earth. I felt a pang of homesickness wash over me, but I shook the feeling. I hadn't felt homesick in so long, so why would I feel it now? Maybe from talking to Honerva? I didn't know, and honestly, I didn't care about my feelings.
Knowing I wouldn't be able to sleep the rest of the night, I got out of bed, took my knife and hand blaster and set off to the training deck. I heard grunts and metal hitting metal as I approached, and saw Keith battling a robot. He quickly beat it by stabbing it in the chest.
