"What did you just say?" Keith said, venom dripping from his words.

"Are you deaf? I. Said. I. Am. Leaving. Voltron." I said, enunciating each word mockingly. Keith grabbed the collar of my shirt, as if he were about to beat my ass.

"No," he said, clearly trying to put all his effort into power. I laughed. He looked confused for a moment, but went back to being angry.

"Hah! What makes you think you can stop me, Kogane?" My voice seemed to be getting deeper. "Do you really think you can beat me? Let go of me before I slit your throat."

My voice was starting to sound like the one I had been pushing down the last few days. It seemed to finally be breaking free. Keith backed away from me, clearly scared. I laughed menacingly.

"Ah, you're adorable when you're scared, you know that, right?" I cackled, my voice was so weird. It was my voice, but with a deep echo to it, almost as if... as if someone else were saying exactly what I was. "Now, let's accept Lotor's offer, like smart people, and end this war already. I want to murder every single Galra that dare betray Lotor."

"You can go with Lotor, but you may not take anyone with you," Keith said firmly. "My answer is no, and if you try to take the others, then Voltron will take you down just like all of Haggar's monsters."

I wanted to scream, this isn't me, I don't mean this! But my body had gone into autopilot. I couldn't control anything I said or did. Was I being possessed? I grinned evilly, "Fine then, leave, but just know that I never loved you, Kogane."

I hoped he could see my sorry eyes, how much of a lie that was. I cared for him just as much as Lance, if not more. Keith's eyes became glossy, and he took Lance's hand and ran out. I felt the force leave me, but I knew it was too late to go after Keith. I sat on the floor and did the only thing I knew how: cry.

Keith

"Just know that I never loved loved you," Jade spat. She said she loved me, she swore it. Maybe she was just Haggar's monster all along, with no emotion or feelings. I didn't know what to believe anymore. She may have been Lance's sister, but she was too far gone. She was insane.

I took Lance's hand and ran for our lives. I could hear Lance's protests, but I didn't care at the moment. I didn't know what was happening with Jade, but at least I knew the truth.

We got to our lions and flew back to the castle. Kekini and Coran waited for us there, and they didn't have to look twice to see what was going on. Kekini walked over to me and pulled me in a tight hug, and I found the friendly gesture comforting, but it was nothing like Jade's hugs. They were fierce and supporting, while Kiwi's were warm and fluffy. She pulled my face away from her and wiped tears off my cheeks. I didn't realize I had started crying. I looked into her eyes and saw they were glossy as well.

"I knew this was going to happen," Kiwi sniffled. "Jade was never strong enough to fight him, no matter how hard she tried."

"Wait, What do you mean?" I asked. Kekini smiled.

"It's a secret only my people know, you seem Jade has a demon inside her, but telling her would only provoke it more. To her, it's like a voice inside her head, and sometimes it can take over. Like when she attacked you."

"So, she says things she doesn't mean?"

"She does things she can't control, like attacking you. If you look closely, you can see what the host truly means by the gleam in their eyes. As long as her eyes are bright, it means she isn't completely gone yet. However, Lotor knows about Jade's demon, and he wants to bring it out. Jade cannot be captured by the Galra, do you understand?"
