In which mini Ai Sendou got curious on what do "the birds and the bees" mean.

===

Ai Sendou is the 7 years old daughter of Kourin and Aichi Sendou. She's the most innocent child you would ever meet, and it would be a mess if ever she hears something not good for an innocent child's ear.

"You know the birds and the bees, Ayame?" Her brother Kouichi asked.

"Yeah, Mom and Dad were like talking about it before. And I know about it." Kouichi's friend, Ayame replied.

And poor little Ai have heard those words. 'Birds… and bees?' She thought and went to ask Kouichi.

"Onii-chan, what does birds and bees mean?" She spoke.

Kouichi and Ayame both looked at Ai, horrified.

"U-Uh…" Kouichi stammered.

"You idiot Kou-kun! Why did you say it anyways?!" Ayame scolded.

"Eh.. W-well I… forgot she was there!" Kouichi blushed.

"We're so going to die if Kourin-san and Aichi-san knows that Ai-chan knows that word!"

"I-I'm sorry!" Kouichi looked at Ai, "It's nothing, Ai! Forget about it!"

Ai only looked at them in confusion.

-

Ai is a totally curious girl, so if she doesn't know something, she would try to know anything about it.

She looked at her Mom and Dad sitting on the couch together and having an afternoon coffee. Ai thought that this would be a good chance to ask.

"Mommy, Daddy!" Ai spoke, causing Aichi and Kourin's attention.

"What is it, Ai-chan?" Aichi grinned at his cute daughter, then went to take a sip of his coffee.

"What does the birds and the bees mean?" She asked with pure innocence in her voice and look.

Aichi suddenly spit his coffee and Kourin looked horrified.

Ai was confused, why does everyone have those reactions whenever she asks that? What does that mean anyway? And why wouldn't they tell her?!

"Please tell me, Daddy! Mommy!" Ai pleaded.

Aichi and Kourin both looked at each other in awkwardness.

"Uh…" Aichi said, "You know… when a girl and a boy loves each other very much…"

"Yes?"

"Well… Um…"

Ai was totally curious and she continued looking at Aichi who's having a hard time. Aichi looked at Kourin and Kourin just sighed.

"Ai, I think it's best for you not to know about it yet." Kourin said with a smile.

"Eh?! Why?!" Ai pouted.

Kourin smiled and puts her hand on Ai's head, "You're still young, and you'll know what it means when you get older. So right now, just forget about it, okay?"

Ai nodded, though disappointed, she understood that she shouldn't know what it means yet. She only smiled back. "Okay Mommy!"

Ai then went out and played with her friends.

Aichi and Kourin looked at each other and both sighed in relief. Aichi rested his back on the sofa.

"Phew… that was close…" Aichi said.

Kourin giggled and went to cuddle with Aichi. "Totally, and I wonder where Ai got that phrase."

Aichi can only chuckle, "Don't you think Ai-chan is too innocent?"

"Yeah, and she is totally like you were before, Aichi." Kourin said.

Aichi smiled and replied, "I guess that's why we really get along."

Both of them laughed and then Kourin kissed Aichi's cheek, "You smell like coffee."

"Oh," Aichi chuckles.

Kourin then stood up and she went to Ai. "Ai, I want to ask you something."

"Yes, Mommy?" Ai responded.

"Where did you learn about that phrase anyways?" Kourin asked.

"I heard it from onii-chan!" Ai said happily and gave a bright smile.

Kourin sighed and she went back to Aichi, "Aichi, it seems like our dear son was the one who said it." She smiled at Aichi.

Aichi's eyes widened and he got nervous, "W-w-wait a second, Kourin-san. What are you going to do?!"

Kourin giggled, "Oh, I'm just going to teach my Kouichi a little lesson."

"K-Kourin-san no!"

Kourin only gave a smile as she waited for Kouichi to come home. And when he did, of course we know that Kouichi was taught a lesson on not to try ruining his little sister's innocence again.
