Happy Birthday

"Happy Birthday, Kourin-san." Aichi spoke as he sat next to Kourin and went to give her a cupcake with a lit candle on top of it. He was smiling at her and she returned the warm smile to him.

"Thank you so much, Aichi." Kourin replied and gave a peck on his cheek before blowing the fire off the candle. Aichi grinned and clapped his hands happily.

"Yay!" As Kourin put down the cupcake on the table, Aichi immediately embraced her and cuddled with her. Kourin just let him and she giggled.

"I wasn't able to give you that much, Kourin-san. But I hope you like it." Aichi told her.

"It's okay, Aichi. As long as you remember my birthday, that's enough to make me happy." Kourin replied and hugged him back.

"I'm glad, Kourin-san. You did get a lot of birthday greetings and gifts from your fans earlier, so I thought that... they gave you more than I did..." Aichi pouted. True, he felt jealous of Kourin's fans always swarming over her and it sometimes makes him feel like he's not doing enough to make her happy.

"Aichi, they're my fans, you don't have to be so jealous, okay?" Kourin immediately saw his jealous expression and she cups his face with her hands. "Even if you don't give me any materials, just being with you is already the perfect gift for me. Now quit being a jealous boyfriend because you don't fit the yandere archetype."

"Kourin-saaaannn!!" Aichi exclaimed, he blushed and embraced her tightly. "Okay, I am jealous but you don't have to tell me thaaaatt!!"

Kourin let out a laugh, a very attractive laugh. Aichi's heart started beating fast, as if he fell in love with her all over again. "K-Kourin-san..."

"You're such a cute idiot, Aichi. This is why I love you." Kourin told him, she wrapped her arms around his shoulders. And their faces were close, their noses touching.

"Because I'm an idiot..?" Aichi asked.

"No, silly. I love you because you're cute and handsome at the same time. Oh! And you're always making me feel happy~"

"I love you too, Kourin-san." Aichi smiled and then leaned closer to give her a kiss. That kiss went on for a few moments before they had to stop, then Aichi kissed her forehead.

"Well then, we shall eat the cupcake and then I'm going to cook a special tonkatsu just for you, Kourin-san!" Aichi said as he let go.

"Aw! Thank you so much, Aichi~" Kourin replied and went to the kitchen with Aichi. "I'm going to help you."

"Ehh? You don't have to, Kourin-san! You're the birthday girl here, so sit down and wait for me to cook your food!" Aichi told her.

"No, I've heard from Emi that you're having a hard time cooking. I'll help you."

"Ah, you got me there." Aichi and Kourin both gave a laugh and then agreed to cook the tonkatsu together.

It was an enjoyable day for Aichi and especially for the birthday girl, Kourin.
