I turned over on my side to see Matt sleeping. I smiled to myself before laying my hand on his cheek. He moaned a little and dug his head into the pillow.

"Matt... What time is it?" I whispered. He fluttered his eyes open and turned over after smiling at me.

"Shit! 11:03! Get up, get up!" He yelled. I scrambled out of bed. I found my clothes from the night before on the floor and yanked my white pants up to my mid waist.

"Crap! I thought I ordered a wake up call!" He said, pulling underwear on.

"Well we obviously didn't wake up or they didn't call!" I shouted. I clipped my bra back on and my shirt.

"This is perfect, just perfect. Maybe I can make myself fashionably late," he said from the bathroom. I squeezed in next to him. I looked like hell, my hair was a mess, my mascara was smudged. I had an extra makeup kit in Susie's car. I'll use that when I get there. I brushed my hair out and put my hair up.

"Matt, can we stop by my hotel?"

"Why? We're already two hours late."

"I need to get some clothes."

"You look fine," he said through spits of toothpaste.

"No I don't want people thinking we're sleeping together," he said. He sighed.

"Fine. Run downstairs. I'll meet you in the car," he said. I shoved my flats on and ran down to the car, wiping underneath my eyes as I went. I stayed in the car until Matt came out garbed in a white t shirt, leather jacket, jeans and converse.

When he got in the car, he started the engine, and took off.

"Can you get me my lighter? In the glove box?" He asked. I found it and lit his Marlboro up for him. He took long, slow drags on it, quietly blowing smoke out between his chapped lips.

"Ok. Get what you need. If you're not back here in 7 minutes, I'm leaving ya. Clear?"

"Okay," I jumped out of the car and took the elevator up to the room. I gathered my clothes, brushed my toothbrush and put on deodorant, fixed my hair a little and darted out the door.

When we drove back to the Zoetrope studios, I had changed and had some foundation on from what I found in the hotel room.

Matt was about to get out.

"Matt wait," I grabbed his arm.

"Hmm?"

"I don't want people thinking we slept together," I said.

"Okay."

"Matt."

"What?"

"Knock 'em dead," I said. He leaned forward and laid a small, sweet kiss on my lips.

"I need to get my stuff from Susie's car. Go ahead," I got out the car and he locked it. I went and found my makeup in the car, reapplied, and walked to the studio. Rob and Tom were in the middle of a scene. I snuck by and slipped Into my seat next to Christine. Christine slipped a note.

Susie's happy.

Why? I wrote back.

Rob got the job.

YES, I wrote back.

Where were you? She wrote.

Matt's, I said.

She wrote a wonky face and smiled at Rob while I watched Matt across the room.
