Day 1: found nobody. At least half that warehouse of boys went home and hugged Mommy still it hurt. So we were looking forward to day two.

"See anybody?" Fred asked me as I flipped through files and head shots.

"No, not yet.... Wait, he looks good," I pointed to one headshot. Ralph. Macchio.

"Johnny?" He asked. I nodded. He took the file and passed it down to Aunt Susie. She looked through the paper before looking up.

"Looks okay to me. Let's see what he has. Francis, ask this kid to come up," she said.

"Can I get Ralph Macchio, and Vincent Vaughn?" Two scrawny kids dragged themselves to the center of our attention.

"Ralph," Francis said. The one with the real tan skin and dark dark bushy hair and small brown eyes raised his hand.

"Vincent?" Kid with blonde hair jetting over his eyes smiled.

"Okay, let's get started. Page 12-"

"Am I late? Please don't say I'm late.

through the warehouse. I widened my eyes. Matt. I didn't even have to look.

"He's auditioning?!" I snapped at Aunt Susie.

"He's a good actor," she said.

"He's a bad kid!"

"He heard about the audition by himself. He wants this role," she said.

"You know what he did to me."

"Essie, it doesn't matter. If he can do a fantastic job, then that's that."

"Susie!"

"Essie! He doesn't have the job...yet. Give him a chance..." I stopped arguing when I heard footsteps and felt the breath of an old New Yorker.

"Essie, nice seeing ya," he said. I looked up. He was staring at me with puppy dog eyes and large lips.

"Come with me, Matt," I said. I grabbed him by the shoulder and yanked him outside.

"What's your issue?" He asked once I let go.

"You. Why are you here?"

"I want the role."

"So do two hundred other people."

"I want Dallas."

"You had your spotlight, Matt."

"You're pissed bc I just might make it."

"You were Tex! Isn't that huge? Can't you just accept that?!"

"You need to calm down. You want a coke? I'll buy you a coke, c'mon," he said.

"No, Matt. Just audition and get it over with," I pushed him off of me an walked inside. See matt and I have an obvious history. On the set of Tex, we dated and it was great until some things happened and he left and I was heartbroken for months. Until now. I was furious, so angry I could hit someone. I walked back inside an sat down until Matt came in minutes later.
