LCO 24
First day of filming. The set was chaos. And of course, Christine and I were the runners, bringing actors to costume and helping and I still had to man the nurse' stent and Christine had to help with the costumes and set.
"Come on, we gotta go, people have their hair and makeup to do too," I said, dragging Cruise along. Marge handed him his jeans and tank top and jean vest and converse and he was ready in a flash. Perk about being in a movie like this: costumes aren't complicated. They're jeans and tank tops. I handed him over to Christine to bring him to hair and makeup. Tommy was up next.
"Okay strip down, take off the pants," I said. He looked at me wide-eyed.
"Don't-" he started to say when I shoved a pile of clothes in his hands.
"Go. I got a lot more people than you," I said. He quickly put on his jeans and Matge helped him with the jacket and how it was to be zipped. I tied his shoelaces and pushed him out the door. One of the Socs came in and he had to have his shirt tucked in and belt snapped and sweater under collar. Go. Rob put his plaid shirt over his white shirt jeans and black boots. Go. Patrick tucked in his tank top and his button down gray shirt, jeans, boots, go. Ralph was in his brown shirt and jean jacket and denim and converse. Go. Emilio was handed his shirt and just slid it on because he already had the appropriate jeans on and Marge threw him outta there with some boots. After four more Socs, Mrs. Marlene (Johnny's mom), Kendra (Sandy) and a couple other extras, I realized we didn't get Matt. I opened the door.
"MATT DILLON?!" I screamed.
"What?!"
"COSTUME!" He rushed up and closed the door.
"Don't be screaming at me like that."
"I'm sorry, Matt but I even got the extras before you. Come on, take off your shirt," I said. He peeled his w-shirt off and gave it to me.
"Jeans too," I said. He pulled his low rise jeans off and the high ones on. He tucked his shirt in and stretched. I helped him into his brown jacket and Marge handed him his dog tag.
"Here," she gave him boots.
"I'll come with ya to makeup," I said. We walked over to the trailer. Dee Dee was doing Kendra's hair and Jack was working on Ralph's cheek. Once Dee Dee finished, she got Matt to sit down and brushed his hair out and rubbed it around and then styled it.
We got outta that trailer and waited outside. I put arm around his back and he scooped me up as if I was a toddler.
"Matt! Matt!" I screeched as he put me down in the nurse's seat. He sat down in another chair and began to kiss me, never disconnecting. We had little breaths in between. I Locke my hands around his neck and he put his hands on my back.
"Can you believe it? This day's finally come," he said.
"Yes," I kissed him again.
"I still can't believe I'm Dallas Winston."
"You're perfect for this role," I said. He kissed me.
"Thanks," he said. I kissed the top of his nose.
"OKAY, CAN WE GET EVERYONE OVER HERE?! ALL ACTORS AND CREW NOW!" Francis hollered. He sighed.
"This is it," he said. I smiled and kissed him one last time. He got up and squeezed my hand. I could tell he was nervous.
"Knock 'em dead, Dally."
