Tommy did the scene nine more times before moving on to the greasers coming in to beat the Socs.
"OKAY! Scene 2, take 1. Action!" He started off with the greasers running over Ponyboy and to the Soc's car after them. One of the camera men laid with Tommy in the dirt, pointing the camera up while a couple other camera guys surrounded the scene. Cruise, emilio and Rob all started to sprint across the road and Emilio got a hold of one guy before he got in te car. Rob jumped over the top of the hood of the car and started to mess with the guy. Cruise closed the door as stuck his hands in car and grabbed the soc by his collar. They were screaming and hollering. Ralph stood near the trees and another camera man focused on him while Patrick came up behind him and ran around the camera man. Matt came around the corner and kicked the mustang as the car took off. The other three boys went after the car but Matt grabbed this stick and hummed it at the car. I heard Francis chuckling.
"Okay, okay, cut, cut!" Francis laughed. The boys were out of breath. I was known as the water replenished, both Susie and I. I sprayed Tom, Emilio and Rob while Matt went to talk to Francis.
"I want the stick thing in. Put the stick back and just throw the stick," Francis said.
"Like before?" Matt asked.
"Like before."
"Okay, old man." Matt ran off and took his place again.
"Susie," Francis said.
"Huh?"
"I wanted Matt to make an entrance from basically out of nowhere. I want the viewers to see it to see he really has no home but-"
"Boo!" It was Matt behind me. I turned around.
"You're crazy, you know that?" I said.
"Yeah. I gotta run back."
"Wait wait wait, Matt! When we're done with this scene, I wanna film you coming in and making an entrance," Francis said.
"Ok," he said. He gave me a kiss and went back to his spot. The scene took place over and over and over and over. I lost track of how many time we did the scene. We had to start over because Rob didn't make it all the way over the hood of the car and slammed his face right into it. I checked, no damage. We had to start over because Cruise nearly slammed his hand in the car door. Start over because Matt hit Emilio with the big stick.
And then Francis decided they needed a water break and it was only 11. Cruise sat in my lap and laid his head on my shoulder.
"You're my favorite," I laughed.
"Then can I have some water? And a blanket?" Okay it was freakishly cold for Tulsa. I lived there with Susie and most Marches were not like this. Although the reason Susie and I were staying in a hotel was because our house was more by Bixby, further from the city.
"Susie, can you hand me that bl- thank you," I laid it over Tom and I and hugged him. Cruise and I had more of a... Sibling bond than anything. The only people I really wasn't bonded with one way or another was Tommy and Diane. Yes, I had even developed some sort of relationship with Leif and Darren, but the other boys didn't really like that. They were more about the rivalry between greasers and Socs.
"Cruise, I will give you a dollar to get off my girl," Matt said.
"No, Dillon, she's warm. You got a damn coat," he said.
"You can lay on me all you want tonight," I teased Matt and Cruise started howling laughing.
"Haha, very funny," Matt said.
"You know I love you, right?" I said.
"Nah. Tell me at lunch."
