Changing out of her bloody and ripped outfit Nova changed back to a simple outfit watching as the sunset began to fade away.
She sat away on a high tree branch letting her eyes close with the wind softly tickle her skin" I know what I said back there sounded crazy.. but it's the truth. Thanos will come and will kill anyone who stands in the way. It's only a matter of time I go out there again to fight for the world" Nova spoke hearing his presence approach.
T'Challa looked up at her from the ground nodding before watching the beautiful sunset as well,"And I believe it. It is just that they're scared Nova. As well as I for your life."
At that Nova scoffed turning away,"I'm scared too. But I'm more scared for the lives of others along with yours than my own..."
The two met each other's eyes and as the seconds passed Nova slowly got down with the help of T'Challa ultimately leading to their lips crashing onto one another.
Their lips moved in sync clutching each other's hands before pulling away letting air fill their lungs.
T'Challa wrapped his arms around her protectively bringing her more closer to his embrace,"I love you and I promise you nothing will happen to you nor I. You have my word." He said to her ear in which Nova nodded with a smile on her face instantly calming down,"You better live up that word King" she mused getting out of his embrace.
Just as Nova began to turn around she quickly turned to T'Challa giving him a quick peck on the lips with a grin forming her face,"And I love you too"
And with that she ran up back to the city with her king watching her adoringly.
And as they continued to have more time to themselves Nova and T'Challa side by side roamed the palace halls hearing that they were getting a caller from the outside world.
Nova felt nervous hoping it was most likely Stark calling saying everything was alright and that they had the time stone safe. But she couldn't be sure.
Entering the room T'Challa spoke a few words in Wakandian to a man who nodded handing them a device.
T'Challa put the device to his ear and after a minute or so he looked down at Nova with a sad smile,"I'm afraid I have good and bad news" he said giving the device back to the solider.
"What's the good news?" Nova questioned,
"Your friends are coming here."
"And the bad news?"
"War is coming as well."
Nova nodded letting the information,"Okay then let's put up a pretty damn well fight" she said causing T'Challa to lighten up with her attitude.
"Come on let's go" he said leading the way.
On the trip Okoye joined them as the three were now going to Bucky giving him a new item for the sake of what was coming.
Okoye began to speak Wakandian as they were more closer to Bucky refuge area,"And the border tribe?" T'Challa questioned.
Okoye replied in Wakandian in which T'Challa nodded,"Send the word to Jabari tribe as well. M'Baku likes a good fight."
"And what of this one?" Okoye gestured to him.
Nova sighed meeting the eyes of T'Challa,"This one may be tired of war"
"But the white wolf has rested long enough" Nova finished as they had another solider bring up a silver case towards Bucky.
Bucky looked at the three before looking down at the new arm,"where's the fight?"
"On its way" he answered.
"We all need to be prepared for what's coming." Nova said catching Buckys attention,"Something bigger is coming. We could use all the luck we can get." She said in which Bucky nodded.
"Come now Nova we should hurry up and get ready." T'Challa said extending his hand to her knowing she was still slightly weak from yesterday's battle.
Nova grabbed his hand now going back to the city with Okoye following behind them.
"You know we have not finished discussing of that time when I had said you were very much fit to be queen." T'Challa suddenly said almost causing Novas heart to stop beating recalling of the conversation happening a couple weeks back.
"Well.. now is not really the best time to talk about it" she said in which T'Challa stopped walking looking at her.
Okoye too had stopped. T'Challa spoke a few words in Wakandian letting Okoye nodded leaving the two.
Nova bit her lip,"Uh oh what is it? Did I do something?" She questioned in which T'Challa shook his head.
"Perhaps It's me thinking of you as Wakandas next queen" he stated with a sheepish smile.
At his words Nova almost choked on her own spit,"What? T'Challa you realize what your saying right?"
"Of course I know what am saying."
"Then you would know that me being Wakanda next queen would be a little absurd. I wouldn't be able to stay here knowing there would be trouble out there that needs me" she stated causing T'Challa to sigh knowing she'd responded like that.
"I figured you would say that. You would be the best queen if you were not so stubborn" he said causing Nova to playfully scoff,"Please if anything I'd be a great queen because I am so stubborn."
