A Friendly Battle (Red)

I was probably lost and now that I was sure, I couldn't do anything about it.

"Are you lost ?", asked a very familiar voice. It was Blue. Maybe he got lost too. I replied,"Of course, not". He wanted to battle and I knew that because.........um..........he gave me that look.

"Let's battle", I said.
"That's exactly what I was gonna say", said Blue.
"Charmander, I choose you".
"Squirtle, go on", he said. "You know what, I have a type advantage right now".
"I know that", I said."Let's see what Pokedex has to say". I pointed the black lens towards the Squirtle and it popped open without even pressing the black button. It showed Squirtle's information on the right side.

It had it's picture on top-left corner and things about it just next to it. Suddenly, a voice came from the Pokedex saying," Squirtle, a tiny turtle Pokemon. After birth, it's back swells and hardens into a shell. It powerfully sprays foam from it's mouth. Weak against grass and electric. Resistant against fire, water and ice".
"I can still beat you in this battle", I said with overconfidence.
"Really ?", he said.
"Charmander, use Ember".
Charmander spit fire from his mouth.

"Squirtle, Water Gun", said Blue. He was too confident but didn't have a pinch of overconfidence. I was hesitating.
"Charmander, Ember", I said. It didn't do much. Squirtle was resistant to fire types.

Squirtle dodged the attack and used water gun. Charmander's health got critical. "Charmander, get up and use Ember".

"Squirtle, finish the battle now", said Blue. Squirtle understood what to do and use Bubble. Charmander fainted.

"I won", said Blue, cheering himself.
"How is this possible?", I asked.
"You watched Squirtle dodging ? That's the first thing to teach a Pokemon. You just did the attack, no defense. At least Squitle dodged".

He went away without another word. I still had Pikachu. I was pretty upset with the fact that I just lost to my rival. He once used to be a friend but we were getting apart.

I decided to just train Charmander. I battled some people I met on Route One.

"Go Nidoran"
"Go Charmander", I said.
"Nidoran, Poison Sting".
"Charmander, Ember".
Nidoran fainted.

That Nidoran Pokemon was cool and I was sure that I wanted one. It was blue in colour and had a small horn on it's head.

"Hey where can I catch a Nidoran ?", I asked.
"Just go west to the Nidorans in chains, but don't get lost if it rains".

It was a parody for rhyming thing I once read in a book. I headed west and saw a big farm house and a ton of Nidorans around. I could only see blue colour instead of green in the grass.

I climbed down the hill and saw a boy sitting on a chair. He seemed to be the owner of the Nidorans.

"Um, excuse me ?", I said. "Ugh, can I get one Nidoran ?".
"These are all my dad's",said the boy. "You can find one in Fuschia City".

"Hi, my name is Joey", said the boy.
"I'm Red".
"Hey my dad is coming",said the boy pointing at a dark tall man who was holding a briefcase. "My dad has some factory in which he needs Nidorinas".

"I'm doomed", said Joey's dad. "They......they captured my factory". He was in a lot worry.

"Who ?", I asked. "I can help".
"Team Rocket", he said.
"Team Rocket".
"Um...it's a criminal organization", said Joey.

"They also have my Pokemon locked in cages", said Joey's dad.
"Call the cops".

"The cops do not take a step against Team Rocket. These people are too powerful", said Joey's dad.

"So I shall battle them", I said. Why was I so confident ? Because I had a friendly neighborhood Pikachu who was about level twenty-five.

The factory wasn't too far. It was huge and had many windows. It looked absolutely new as if was just built yesterday. But the factory wasn't built in a day.

Well, we then walked inside. I could see food items such as biscuits, lollipops and tons of chocolates of different kinds.

Finally, I saw two people storing everything in a container. They wore black sweatshirt with 'R' written in pink. Black lowers, black boots and even the container was black with the pink 'R'.

"I think you shouldn't steal things", I said. It was a funny thing to say to members of a criminal organization.
"Look,we don't want any trouble",said Joey.

"Trouble ?", said the male grunt.
"We'll make it double", said the female grunt.
"To protect the world from devastation".
"To unite the people within our nation".
"To denounce the evils of truth and love".
"To extend our reach to the stars above".
"Cassidy".
"Butch".
"Team Rocket, blast off at the speed of light".
"Surrender now or prepare for a fight".
"Meowth-",said a Meowth jumping up from nowhere.
"Who's this Meowth ?", asked Cassidy, totally confused.
"Yeah, that's not a part of the script. Get out of here", said Butch.
The Meowth vanished in thin air.

"I recommend not to copy other's dialogues", I said." And make something new, most people have heard that dialogue before".

"Shoo, let's end it with a battle", said Cassidy.
"Go Charmander", I said. Charmander stood up in anger.
"Go Mankey", said Butch.
"Go Drowsee", said Cassidy.
"That's cheating. Go Pikachu", I said.

"Mankey, fury swipes", said Butch. Mankey used fury swipes on Charmander. "Well done". Pikachu time now.
"Pikachu, thunderbolt", I said. Mankey fainted.
"Oops",said Butch.
"Drowsee, hypnosis", said Cassidy.
Pikachu was asleep.
"Ugghhhh.....Charmander, Ember", I said.
"Drowsee, Confusion". A critical hit.
"Charmander, Ember", I said, Drowsee fainted.

They had no more Pokemon to battle. Team Rocket lost and had to leave. Joey's dad was happy. Joey came with me outside the factory. As I was leaving for Viridian City, I heard a sound from the bushes. I walked forward and saw a Nidoran. This one was purple.

"Whoa, Go Charmander."
