Playin' With Water (Red)

We were really tired after the battle with each other and wanted some sleep but then we decided not to go back to Cerulean but instead keep walking on Route Four.

It was late night and there was no way we could sleep. It was the middle of a forest. Route Four way too bigger than I saw in the games.

'Red, we are stuck here because of you', said Leaf in sudden anger.
'Me ? You're the one who agreed to come here', I said with the same tone.
'Oh really ?', said Leaf.

Suddenly, a loud noise was heard. It was like the Darth Vader's voice and was terrifying. We ran towards the direction it came from.

It was a man, speaking through a megaphone and shouting - Sqquirrrttleee.

It was obvious that he lost his Pokémon - Squirtle.

He stood outside his house which had a board saying - Pokémon Daycare Center.

'Excuse me ?', said the man.
'Yes ?', I said calmly, trying to guess what was going on.
'A Squirtle has ran away from my daycare. Did you happen to see one ?', he asked.
'None', said Leaf.
'Okay', he said. 'I was trying to find him'.
'Can we help ?', I asked.
'No. It is very late and you should go home', he said.
'We are Pokémon Trainers, we have to go to Saffron City from here according to the map. Can you please help us with the directions ?', said Leaf.

'I see', he said. 'Saffron City is very far away from here, please help me and I'll let you stay here in the daycare'.
'Are you serious ?', I asked.
'Yes', he said.

Suddenly, it started raining, the ground became all wet and muddy.

'Oh, crap. Get in', he said.

We went inside the Daycare. It was nice from inside. There was an open room with a table at the corner. There were two doors at the other corner of the room.

'Please sit, be my guest', he said.
'Thank you', I said.
'Would you like to have some cup noodles ?', he asked. 'Sorry, I cannot offer much. I like having guests here because people rarely visit'.

'Thank you, sir', I said. 'Cup noodles are fine'.

He served us cup noodles on the table and we filled up our empty stomach a little.

I was looking out of the window when I saw a Squirtle. 'Sir, there is your Squirtle'.

Squirtle heard my voice and he ran inside the Daycare.

'Squirtle, I was worried', he said. 'He doesn't belong to me. It belonged to a trainer who left him in my daycare three years back and he never came back'.

'That's not good', said Leaf.
'I agree', I said.
'Since then, Squirtle goes to Cerulean City to search for a new trainer for himself', he said.
'So, no-one accepted him ?', I asked.
'No', he said.

Squirtle looked at me with great joy.

'Can I take the Squirtle ?', I asked.
'Red !', said Leaf.
'What ? I'm just asking. Besides, Squirtle would be happy tool', I said.
'That's true', said the Daycare man.

'I would like to leave my Magikarp here for a while', I said.
'Good, I love new Pokémon', he said.
'So, Squirtle. Want to join us ?', I asked.

'Squirtle-squir', said Squirtle.

I touched the Pokeball with him and Squirtle was caught.

'Great', said Leaf. 'You get all your Pokémon without catching them'.
'No', I said.
'Yes. Charmander was given by Professor Oak. Pikachu is your dad's and Magikarp, you bought it. Nidorino and Pidgey are exceptions',said Leaf.
'Okay', I said. 'Sir, I would like you to take my Magikarp for a while'.

I handed Magikarp's Pokeball to the Daycare man. He offered us a room for the night and we slept there.

Then the same old dream, Mew flying towards Mount Silver. I woke up with a start.

In the morning, we continued walking towards Saffron City.

But things never change.......

'Prepare for trouble', said Cassidy.
'Make it double', said Butch.

'To protect the world from devastation'.
'To unite the People within our nation'.
'To denounce the evils of truth and love'.
'To extend our reach to the stars above'.
'Cassidy'.
'Butch'.
'Team Rocket, blast off at the speed of light'.
'Surrender now or prepare to fight'.

'Not you again', said Leaf. 'I am getting bored of this thing'.
'They truly never find anyone who could beat the crap out of them, except us', I said.
'Red, language', said Leaf.
'Oops', I said.

'Go Drowsee', said Cassidy.
'Go Squirtle, use Water Gun', I said.

The attack was really strong.
'Go Primeape', said Butch.
'Go Vulpix', said Leaf. 'Use Flamethrower'.

Primeape fainted.
'Drowsee, Psychic at that Vulpix', said Cassidy.

Vulpix fainted.
'Squirtle, Bubble', I said.

Drowsee wasn't affected much.
'Drowsee, Confusion', said Cassidy.
'Squirtle, Bite', I said.

Drowsee fainted.
'What ?', said Cassidy.
'No', said Butch.

'Yes', I said.
'Squirtle, Water Gun at those grunts'.

Squirtle used Water Gun. Team Rocket went flying in the sky.

'Whoa, those two are annoying', I said.

'Come on, let's not waste more time', said Leaf.

We continued walking to the Saffron City.

Really, this journey is already making me tired, I don't know how the person in the games walk that much.
