Blaze !! (Red)

I stood by the shore thinking about a strategy or something to defeat Blaine. Leaf did it easily, why can't I.

I went to the PokeCentre and changed my team. And got back and again stood by the shore.

'Red, you're still here', said Blue. 'I got the second last Badge'.

'Are you going home now or to Viridian City first ?', I asked. 'To battle the last gym leader'.

'Christmas is not very far, I'm going home, besides the Gym Leader is not yet back', said Blue.

'When will he be back, after the Pokemon League ?', I asked.

'No, he'll be there in the first week of January', said Blue. 'A ferry to Pallet Town is in the evening, let's see if you can make it'.

I walked inside the gym.

I pointed the Pokedex towards the Pokemon.

'Ninetales, a Fox Pokemon. It is vindictive and relentless by nature. Those who Cross it even once will be cursed for a thousand years, along with their descendants', explained the Pokedex.

'Cursed. Go Wartortle', I said.

'Ninetales, use Quick Attack', said Blaine.

'Wartortle, Water Gun', I said.

'Ninetales, Confuse Ray', said Blaine.

Wartortle was confused. It fell down and fainted.

'What ?', I said.

'I told you to get ready', said Blaine.

'Go Nidoking', I said. 'Use Horn Drill'.

'Ninetales, Fire Spin', said Blaine.

Nidoking' was trapped in a vortex of fire.

'Nidoking, Double Kick', I said.

Ninetales fainted.

'Go Rapidash', said Blaine.

'Nidoking, Poison Sting', I said.

Rapidash was poisoned.

'Rapidash, Fire Blast', said Blaine.

Nidoking fainted.

Rapidash was hurt by poison.

'Go Charizard', I said.

'Rapidash, use Bounce', said Blaine.

'Charizard, Fly', I said.

Charizard flew up high. Rapidash's attack missed.

'Hit it', I said.

Charizard dived and tackled Rapidash.

'Rapidash, Flare Blitz', said Blaine.

Charizard fainted.

'No !', I shouted.

'Go Kabutops', I said. 'Use Aquajet'.

Rapidash fainted.

'You're not winning', said Blaine. 'Go Arcanine'.

'Kabutops, Aquajet', I said.

'Arcanine, Take Down', said Blaine.

Kabutops fainted.

'Go Pikachu', I said.

'Arcanine, Flamethrower', said Blaine.

'Pikachu, Thunder', I said.

'Didn't see that coming', said Blaine.

Arcanine was stricked with a powerful lightning bolt. Arcanine fainted.

'Go Magmar', said Blaine.

'Pikachu, Quick Attack', I said.

Pikachu was too fast and hit Magmar. But Magmar stood still as if nothing happened.

'Magmar, Sunny Day', said Blaine.

It was suddenly very bright inside the battle area. Magmar's fire attack stats increased.

'Pikachu, Thunderbolt', I said.

'Magmar, use Lava Plume', said Blaine.

Pikachu's health went critical.

'Pikachu, use Thunder', I said.

Magmar's health was critical.

'Magmar, Fire Blast', said Blaine.

Pikachu fainted.

'Oh, no. Come back, Pikachu. Go Snorlax', I said.

'You're loosing, kid', said Blaine.

I opened the Pokedex and looked at Snorlax's attacks.

'Magmar, use Lava Plume', said Blaine.

The lava hit Snorlax's belly and went sideways towards the walls.

Snorlax had a nice and effective attack according to the Pokedex.

'Snorlax, if you know how to do it, then use Hyper Beam', I said.

'You don't know your Pokemon's moves ?', said Blaine.

Snorlax did nothing.

'Snorlax please, use Hyper Beam', I said.

Snorlax started sleeping.

'That's funny, it doesn't know Hyper Beam', said Blaine. 'Lets end this. Magmar, use Fire Blast'.

'Snorlax !', I screamed.

Snorlax woke up and used Hyper Beam in anger. Magmar fainted.

'Yeeessssss !', I shouted with joy.

'You were lucky, but remember you'll not get another chance in the League's, said Blaine. 'Here is your Volcano Badge and TM 38 - Fire Blast'.

'Thank you', I said. 'I will always remember this gym battle'.

'Good battle', he said.

I went outside, Leaf and Sabrina stood outside in anger.

'Uh - sorry', I said.

'How could you leave us and battle', said Leaf.

'I really wanted to watch Blaine lose', said Sabrina.

We had a bit of fighting and I had to say sorry again and again because of Sabrina.

It was evening time.

'Oh, I almost forgot, there was a ferry to Pallet Town this evening', I said, picking up my bag and running towards the ferry.

'Wait for us !', said Leaf.
