The Art of Articuno (Red)

Charizard landed on Seaform Islands, just outside a cave. Many people were outside the cave, lined up in a queue.

'What' happening ?', I asked.

'The Legendary Pokemon Articuno visits this place every decade, everyone wants to see it but the guards allow entry to Trainer only', said a Man. 'Wait, are you the Indigo League Champion. Oh my god, it's Red'.

The man shouted after seeing me as if I was some celebrity. The whole crowd jumped on to me, I ran towards the cave entrance. The guard stood up and saluted after seeing me and I ran inside.

The cave was huge, no one was to be seen. I walked further inside. The cave was somewhat like Mount Moon with walls all around but it also had frozen and slippery ice in between.

There were arrows painted with red color on which was written, Articuno.

I followed the arrows which led to an open area in the cave, the area had space above from where sunlight came.

I tripped on the ice because of something stuck in the ground. It was an unused Pokeball but was black in colour with a huge U written in it in yellow.

I kept it in my pocket. The ice started breaking and I continued further in the cave. I looked around, the ice was all water now. I gasped.

I turned around and a big Pokemon stood in front of me. It was Articuno.

I pointed the Pokedex towards it.

'Articuno, a Freeze Pokemon. One of the legendary bird Pokémon. With its long tail trailing behind, its flying form is magnificent', explained the Pokedex.

'Okay, I'll catch you', I said. 'Go Charizard'.

Articuno used Ice Beam.

'Charizard, use Dragon Rage', I said.

Articuno used Agility.

'Charizard, used Flamethrower', I said.

Articuno used Ice Beam. Charizard froze solid but unfroze because of his tail fire.

'Charizard, use Dragon Rage', I said.

Articuno fell on the ground. I threw a Pokeball at it. It went inside and the ball shook and shook and stopped.

'Yes, I caught a Legendary Pokémon', I said.

Suddenly, Articuno broke out. Articuno used Aurora Beam. Charizard fainted.

I was disappointed of myself. 'Come back, go Nidoking', I said. 'Use Horn Drill', I said.

Articuno again fell down. I threw a Pokeball again and it shook and shook. Articuno broke out of the Pokeball and used Ice Beam.

'Nidoking, use Horn Drill', I said.

Articuno used Aurora Beam. Nidoking fainted. 'Come back, go Snorlax. Use Hyper Beam', I said.

Snorlax used Hyper Beam, this time Articuno was slammed in the hard frozen wall. Finally, I threw a Pokeball and it went inside. I crossed my fingers but Articuno broke out.

Articuno was still weak and lying on the ground. I realised about the black ball I had found. I threw the black Pokeball.

The ball shook for a few seconds and then glowed. Articuno was caught.

'Yes, I caught a Legendary Pokemon', I said.

I called back Snorlax and went outside the cave. 'Everyone is allowed inside the cave, the Articuno flew away', I said.

The crowd rushed inside and I ran away from a few people who followed me. Finally, I got my Pokemon healed from a nearby PokeCentre.

'Charizard, let's go to Lavender Town and meet Mister Fuji', I said.

Charizard flew up high and towards Lavender. I wanted to know more about the Project Mew-2 that was mentioned in the book. And I wanted to know what Team Rocket had to do with it.

What happened to the Pokemon - Mewtwo ? Was it still alive or somewhere hiding ?

I was very excited to know everything and wanted to know about Mew too.

'Lavender Town', I said. I went inside the PokeCentre and quickly withdrew Articuno to put it in my team.

Later, I called Professor Oak.
