S.S Anne (Red)

Finally, we reached, no we didn't. Saffron City was just a hundred metres away but we couldn't go there because there was a road under construction. There was no other way to go there.

I saw a worker and I asked him to tell us another way to go there, he told us to use an underground passage which leads to Vermilion City.

We used that passage and reached Vermilion city in the evening.

'Let's go to that steamship Bill told us about', I said, eager to know why he gave those tickets.
'I wonder where it goes', said Leaf.

It was a pleasant morning, the sun was shining bright but the air was still cool. The sky became over clouded in a short while and the brightness was altered by those clouds.

'Aren't we going to battle the gym leader ?', asked Leaf with a urge to battle.
'We should go to the S.S Anne first', I said.
'Okay. But just tell me about the gym leader of Vermilion City. I didn't play those games so I have no knowledge about the gym leaders and their Pokémon', said Leaf.

'Vermilion City Gym Leader is Lieutenant Surge. He specialises in electric type Pokémon, in the games he has a Voltorb, a Magnemite and a Pikachu', I said.

'Great ! And we have no Pokémon that can defeat electric types', said Leaf.
'You are correct, we don't have. But I think Pikachu would be enough', I said, overconfident.

Leaf gave a half hearted smile. We stood outside the PokeCenter with all our Pokémons in good health.

There was an old man standing outside the PokeCenter, quietly. I wanted to ask the directions to the S.S Anne.

'Excuse me, where can I find the S.S Anne ?', I asked.
'Near the harbour', he said. Intelligent answer.
'And where is the harbour ?'.
'Near the S.S Anne'.
'Okay, can you please tell us the directions'.
'Yeah sure'.
'Finally'.
'Go straight towards south....'.
'And ?'.
'Please let me speak, will ya ?'.
'Sorry'.
'And keep walking untill you see the seashore'.
'And then ?'.
'If you see a man there....'.
'A man, right'.
'Walk towards that man'.
'And then what ?'.
'Ask that man...'.
'Ask what ?'.
'The directions'.
'That truly helped, thank you very much. Ha, ha, ha', I said, sarcastically.
'Glad to help you', said the old man. 'And from the next time, go to a PokeCenter and see the Town Map there'. He winked at us and went away.

'Thanks', I said.
'Wow, he had some sense of humour', said Leaf.
'Yes', I agreed.
'More than Blue', said Leaf.
'Absolutely', I said.

We saw the map inside the PokeCenter and continued walking to the S.S Anne.

The city was too big that there was no way that old man could've survived walking on the streets. He must've been a patient in the PokeCenter who came for a jog downstairs.

'S.S Anne is a well-known luxury cruiser liner which sails the world, stopping annually in Vermilion City, Kanto. It is also known as St Anne. Owned by Lieutenant Surge, it transported electronic appliances previously', I said.

'How do you know all that ?', asked Leaf.
'Well, I can read, you see', I said.
'Oh', said Leaf, looking at a huge board which says all of that.

A security guard checked the passes. We walked inside.

'Passes', he said.
'Here', I said, showing him the both passes.
'Welcome to S.S Anne'.
'Thank you'.

The steamship was bigger as compared to the games. It had a huge deck, a big swimming pool, hundreds of rooms, and I could tell all that just from the outside.

From the inside, it looked more like a seven star hotel than a cruiser.

'Alola Kanto ! The passengers are restless from the long voyage. The ship just came nonstop from the Alola region', said an announcement.

'Alola Kanto ? That doesn't make any sense', I said.
'Alola region, I always wanted to go there for a long vacation', said Leaf.
'Good. Now tell me what does Alola Kanto mean ?', I asked.
'I don't know', said Leaf.
'Wait that means the trainer's here will have some rare Alolan Pokémons other than Kantoan Pokémons', I said.
'Nice, I would like to battle them', said Leaf.

A waiter was standing right next to me.

'Excuse me ', I said.
'Je suis le serveur sur ce bateau', he said.
'What does that mean, Leaf ?', I asked.

'Wait, I think that was French. He said that he is the waiter on the ship', said Leaf.
'Well, that made sense', I said.

'Bonjour, I be happy to serving you any drink', he said.
'So you can speak English ?', said Leaf.
'Yes', he said.
'When is the ship starting ?', I asked.
'Half an hour', he said.
'Merci', said Leaf.
'De rien', said the waiter.

Leaf had to go to the washroom and asked me to explore more in the ship.

We walked to an upper level of the ship to battle some trainers but there was no one outside their cabin. Every passenger was inside their respective cabin, sleeping probably.

'Hey, Red', said Blue.
'Blue ?', I said.
'Let's see how strong your Pokémons are now', he said.
'Oh, yes. I'm ready', I said.
'Go Wartortle', he said.
'Your Squirtle became stronger. Let's see what it can do against mine. Go Squirtle', I said.
'You have a Charmander and a Squirtle ?', he asked.
'Yes, but you better not be slow. Squirtle, Bite', I said.
'He knows Bite ? Wartortle learns Bite at level twenty above and a Squirtle evolves at sixteen. That's impossible', he said.
'I know, but you are still talking', I said. 'Bite'.
'I was just warming up. Wartortle, Tackle', he said.

A critical hit. Squirtle was badly hurt.
'Squirtle, you okay ?', I asked.
'Squirtle, squirtle', said Squirtle, getting ready for a nice attack.
'Now ! Do it', I said.

Squirtle used Water Gun.
Wartortle fainted.
'No way', said Blue.
'Yes, way', I said.
'It's not possible', he said.
'I am the impossible', I said, copying bad dialogues.
'Not funny, Red', he said.

'You guys battling without me ?', said Leaf, coming out of nowhere.
'The person who wins battle Leaf', said Blue.
'I'll battle Leaf then', I said.
'You'll not win', said Blue.
