The last thing I remembered was fainting out of fear. I was lying down on the floor and Leaf was calling out my name. She was kneeling right beside me.
'Are you okay ?', she asked.
'Yes', I replied. My voice was shaky because of that incident. I was still scared but now when Leaf wasn't sleeping anymore, I was not that scared as before.
'What happened ?', asked Leaf. 'You were standing by the window and I tapped your shoulder to ask you what was going on'.
'I saw something out there in the garden', I said. I could still see clearly what I saw. The big eyes glaring right into my eyes.
'And what did you see ?', asked Leaf full of curiosity in her voice. I did not like the way she bent her voice while showing her eager.
'Come', I said, standing up and walking towards the window.
The sky was pitch black with a limited number of stars. The moon hid behind the clouds making it almost impossible to see.
We were lucky that we had a lamp in our room.
Then, the bush showed the same old movement. But the eyes weren't seen again.
'What is it ?', asked Leaf.
'See that bush ?', I asked.
'Yeah, so'.
'I saw two eyes there. The look was scary'.
'You're not bluffing, are you ?'.
'No'.
'This should not be a joke. Am I clear ?'.
'No, Sprite is'.
'What ?'.
'Um... nothing'. Guess you didn't get this one.Leaf became curious about the cry. I told her what I exactly saw.
'I think we should go and check what is it', said Leaf going to the door. I shouted Noooo ! as soon as she turned the handle. Then she gave me a blank look as if I was kidding.
'What is wrong with you ?', asked Leaf.
'You don't tell me what to do', I said, in a rude way.
'I am older than you so I do tell you what to do', said Leaf, calmly even after my tone wasn't polite.
'Please stop acting like an elder sister, will you ?', I said, I kinda felt guilty of talking to her like that.'Sister ?', shouted Leaf. 'Please don't call me your sister, friend is fine'. Leaf hesitated, well, she hesitated alot plus she was frustrated too.
'Alright, let's go. And I'm sorry', I said, politely.
'Okay, It's absolutely fine. And you sure you want to go ?', asked Leaf.'And you're just two months older. So, please', I said. If you really see, it doesn't matter what the age was.
Then the cry again came from the garden. But this time it was shockingly loud. It was like some horror movie where you hear Aaaoooooo, exactly like that.
'We should go', said Leaf in a hurried tone and she ran outside. I ran along with her downstairs and outside the PokeCentre.
It was too dark to even see Leaf. PokeCentre's lights were out and didn't help in any way. I too forgot to bring a flashlight down here.
We started walking towards the bush without making any noise of the footsteps.
I could breathe in the cold fresh air now. I felt alot better.
It was going to be almost a month since we left Pallet Town (Stories are quick). And I didn't talk to my mom, I guess she would be pretty sad and disappointed about that, but happy too.
We were a few meters away from the bush and I saw something lying there. It was some kind of Pokemon.
Leaf kneeled beside it and tried to pick it up with her arms.
'Oh gosh', said Leaf.
'Let's take it to the PokeCentre', I said.
'Yes', said Leaf. The Pokemon had four legs and a beautiful long tail. It was very cute and I wanted to catch it. But I think Leaf actually cared about it more than me.
Wait, which Pokemon does Leaf had ? She never battled. I doubt she had one but she had Pokeballs on her belt's Pokeball holder.
We went back inside and turned on the lights. Nurse Joy wasn't there, but there was a bell to call her.
Leaf rung the bell. The bell didn't make much noise. Nurse Joy came running.
'Oh my goodness', said Joy after seeing the Pokemon that was suffering. 'Chansey, come fast with a stretcher'.
'What is the problem with it ?', asked Leaf.
'Wait. It has no sign of injury or something', said Nurse Joy.
'That means what ever it is, it must be internal', I said.
'Smart', said Nurse Joy.She took a scan of it's body. It was an x-ray scan. Nurse Joy also checked it's heart rate but there was no problem.
'It's heart beat, it's slower', said Nurse Joy.
'Why is that so ?', asked Leaf.
'I think it has Vasovagal Syncope', said Nurse Joy.
'What scope ?', I asked.'Vasovagal Syncope is a condition in which the vagus nerve is overstimulated and causes the body's blood vessels to dilate and the heart to slow down',said Nurse Joy.
'English please', I said.
'The heart rhythm has changed and is basically because of some arrhythmias', said Nurse Joy.'In short', said Leaf.
'She has just fainted', said Nurse Joy.I gave a funny look and Leaf laughed at me. I laughed at Nurse Joy.
'It would be fine by the morning. It just needs some liquid diet right now and some rest', said Nurse Joy.
We thanked her and went upstairs back to room to sleep. I slept on the upper bunk and Leaf slept on the lower bunk. I knew she wanted to sleep on the upper bunk but I occupied it first.
I was finally relaxed after sleeping which was the best feeling in the world.
