The Rocket and the Carnival

The place was occupied with thousands of people. There were many stalls also. If you asked me describe the place, it was shabbier than I thought. Their were stalls for food which looked delicious, games that were probably kiddish, you know, hitting a Digglett (it's a Pokemon) with the hammer (just a machine game, the Pokemon is not real). There was also a Merry-Go-Round which did not seemed to be merry to me because it literally had twenty - five year old kids who were riding the horses.

The stalls weren't as bad as the thing you should call Opposite of a Merry-go-round. After those few seconds I did not even felt like staying there only because it was not 'pleasant'.

'Ladies and Gentlemen', said a familiar voice from a distance. There was a joker man(he did wear a joker costume) standing on a stage with a.......Jokeress ?(what's the exact name for a female joker?). I was bewildered to see their lavish costumes and truly appreciated that their was something here in the carnival that wasn't shabby.

I walked briskly towards the stage which had a Magic Show poster colored in rainbow vibgyor colors. The stage looked as if they just made it now (i mean it wasn't nice and looked as if it will break this instance).

I was the part of the crowd in a few moments. They continued with their speech.

'Get ready for the Magic Show', said the Jokeress with all her imperturbability in her voice. 'But first we need a bait.......sorry, a person to come on stage. The lady pointed straight towards me. 'Come on the stage, you twerp........ugh, boy'.

It was a bit odd but I had to walk to the stage to maybe help or something. I walked confidently through the crowd and stepped on the stage. The stage made a cracking sound and I watched my steps and walked carefully.

'So what should I do now ?', I asked , respectfully with a smile on my face.
'Send out a Pokemon', said the Joker, rudely. 'Which one ? Charmander ?', I asked. The smile on the Jokeress' face fainted.
'Not that, it has fire on it's tail and would be too dangerous to use',said the Jokeress.
'What about Nidoran ?', I asked again.
'It has a poisonous horn. Nope', said the Joker. 'Just have Pikachu now', I said and both shared a smile.
'That would be perfect', said the Jokeress with a smirk.
'Come on out, Pikachu', I said. Throwing Pikachu's Pokeball. Pikachu came out.
'Pikachu, wanna help in this magic show ?'.

Pikachu gave a thumbs up and said,'Pipikachu'. The Joker ran downstairs and picked up a wooden table that did not look much a weight and placed it in the middle of the stage.

'We have a deck of cards here. All cards have a different Pokemon picture', said the Jokeress showing just the back of the cards. I doubted that all cards were actually different. Then she fanned the cards and I pulled out one. I flipped it over and it had a Drowsee's picture.

'Do not show the card. Place your Pikachu here in this box', said the Jokeress. I placed him inside. 'Three, two , one'. A Drowsee came out and I showed the card to the audience. I was very surprised. But where did Pikachu go ? The box was empty. They picked up the box and ran away leaving the deck of cards there.

'Hey, where is Pikachu ?', I asked, angrily. 'How are we supposed to know ? Farewell', he said. 'Who are you ?', I asked.

The stopped and removed their costumes under which they wore some other clothes. I recognized those two, they were the members of Team Rocket.

'Prepare for trouble, you twerp', said Cassidy.
'And make it double, uh, Magikarp ?',said Butch.
'To protect the world from devastation'.
'To unite the people within our nation'.
'To denounce the evils of truth and love'.
'To extend our reach to the stars above'. 'Cassidy'.
'Butch'.
'Team Rocket, blast off at the speed of light'.
'Surrender now or prepare for a fight'.

'Return Pikachu back', I said in anger.
'Defeat us and take it', said Butch.
'If that's what you want, go Nidoran', I said, sending out Nidoran.
'Go Drowsee',said Cassidy, I realised that the Drowsee in box did belonged to Team Rocket.
'Drowsee, huh ?', I said. I pointed the Pokedex towards it.

'Drowsee, a Hypnosis Pokemon. Puts enemies to sleep, then eats their dreams. Occasionally, gets sick from eating only bad dreams', explained the Pokedex.

'Charmander, use Ember', I said. 'Okay then, Drowsee use Confusion', said Cassidy with alot of overconfidence in her voice.

'Charmander, avoid it's attacks using Smokescreen', I said. There was smoke everywhere and I couldn't see my own face (nobody could) not even Charmander's.

'Okay, use Ember', I said, Drowsee fainted.
'Oh look, your Pokemon are lame and so are you'.

'Go Mankey', said Butch.
'Let's see what Pokedex has to say',I said, pointing the Pokedex towards it.

'Mankey, a Pig-Monkey Pokemon. The smallest of things could cause it to lose it's temper. Because it doesn't hold in its stress, this Pokemon lives a long life', explained the Pokedex.

'Charmander, Ember', I said. Charmander seemed to be really tired.
'Mankey, Low Kick',said Butch, trying to show his anger.
'Charmander finish it with a last Ember' attack',I said. Mankey' fainted.

I was going to ask them to give my Pikachu back when a voice said,' Team Rocket, you are under arrest in charge of being a member and stealing Pokemons'. It was Officer Jenny who know tried to arrest those criminals. But they fled.

Pikachu came out of the box. I was happy to see him again and wouldn't leave him at all costs.

I ran towards the PokeCentre and had my Pokemons fully healed. Then I asked Nurse Joy for a bed and slept.

The next morning, the first thing I did was......walking North towards Pewter City.
No wait, Viridian Forest was the first thing I'd to get past. So I walked towards Viridian Forest.
