A Battle With Lorelei (Red)

The Round two wasn't very eventful, I won the battle against a trainer named Trace who had a Nidorina, Kadabra and Flareon.

Leaf and I were finally qualified to battle the Elites and were also in the top five.

In the evening, I was ready to face the first Elite. Her name was Lorelei. When I asked the Receptionist about her, she told that Lorelei was an Ice type trainer. Also, she was the easiest Elite that anyone could beat.

I had great hopes of winning. But I thought about not to underestimate an Elite Four Trainer. They are really strong, you've seen Lance in Victory Road and his Pokemons.

Ice types were mainly weak against Fire and Fighting but Elite Fours can only use five Pokemons and Kanto has no individual Ice type. Like Lapras, Dewgong and Cloyster are Ice and Water types. There is Jynx with Ice and Psychic. And Articuno, but it's a legendary, so can't use in Pokemon Leagues.

So, probably is will use a strong water type too, if there were only four usable Ice types.

To overcome Ice and Water types, I needed Electric, Grass, Rock and Fighting types.

So, Pikachu, Jolteon, Bulbasaur, Kabutops, Hitmonlee would be the best options and I could use Snorlax as it has only Fighting as it's weakness. Perfect team for the first Elite.

I changed my team according. Leaf was having a battle against Lorelei before me. I went inside the stadium to see the battle.

Lorelei was powerful but Leaf managed with Raichu, Ivysaur, Mankey, Hitmonchan, Omastar and Beedrill.

Leaf also chose types that were powerful than Ice type Pokemons.

Leaf won against Lorelei's Pokemon. Lorelei had the Pokemon that I expected. She had a Lapras, a Dewgong, Cloyster, Jynx and a water type - Slowbro.

I had a big smile on my face all of the sudden. Leaf came up to me and said,'Good luck, show them what you've got'.

'I will and win the First Elite Badge', I said.

'I am coming in just a minute, first I will give my Pokemons to Nurse Joy', said Leaf.

Leaf went inside and I walked down towards the Stadium. I stood in front of the first Elite - Lorelei.

'Lorelei will use five Pokemons and challenger Red will use all six', said the Announcer. 'The match starts now'.

'Go Dewgong', said Lorelei.

'I choose you, Pikachu', I said.

'Dewgong, use Ice Beam', said Lorelei.

'Pikachu, counter with a Thunderbolt'. Pikachu jumped in the air and used a Thunderbolt on Dewgong, dodging it's Ice Beam. Pikachu didn't understand what I meant by counter but he did a better job.

Dewgong was critically hit.

'Dewgong, use Headbutt', said Lorelei.

A box fell on Dewgong, trapping him inside. The box was made of glass, Dewgong tried to break it but nothing happened.

Everyone looked up from where the box came from. There was a hot air balloon, the balloon was the face of a Meowth.

The box was connected to the balloon with a strong iron chain.

Two people were seen in the balloon, the balloon floated downwards and their faces were revealed.

'Prepare for trouble'.

'And make it double',

'To protect the world from devastation'.

'To unite the people within our nation'.

'To denounce the evils of truth and love'.

'To extend our reach to the starts above'.

'Jessie'.

'James'.

'Team Rocket, blast off at the speed of light'.

'Surrender now or prepare to fight'.

'Meowth, that's right'.

'Team Rocket', I said, I was surprised to see the team back in action or they were just stupid.

'We just want to do a last crime in Kanto and then we'll leave', said James.

'James, why are you telling them our great plan ?', asked Jessie.

Meowth used Scratch on both of their faces.

'Shut your mouths and fly this balloon away before police shows up', said Meowth.

'That Meowth can actually speak ?', said Lorelei. 'I thought there was some tape recorder attached to it'.

'Yeah, yeah. I can speak, no big deal', said Meowth.

The balloon floated up in the air and the stopped. Dewgong's weight was too much for the balloon to pick up.

'James, I told you to pick a lighter Pokemon, now we're stuck', said Jessie.

'Team Rocket, get down and turn yourself to the police', said Officer Jenny, coming on her superbike which was faster than The Flash.

'Jessie, do you mind unhooking the chain, because we are going to get arrested', said Meowth.

Jessie took out a pair of scissors and tried to cut the chain.

Meowth scratched her face. Meowth unhooked the chain and threw it off.

'Sometimes I feel I'm the trainer and you two are my Pokemon', said Meowth.

Team Rocket's hot air balloon flew up high.

'They are getting away', said Officer Jenny.

'Not when I'm here', I said, trying to be a hero, which I often do. 'Go Charizard, blast that balloon'.

Charizard poked his claw on to the balloon and the balloon went flying somewhere in the air.

'Why do we always lose ?', asked Jessie.

'Cause we're the bad guys', said James.

'Seriously, the kid reading this story would be much more smarter than you two', said Meowth.

'Team Rocket is blasting off again', said the three Team Rocket grunts, don't know of you can count Meowth to be a grunt.

'I will catch those Team Rocket Grunts', said Officer Jenny, she walked out of the stadium.

Lorelei pressed a button on the box and it opened, Dewgong walked out and hugged Lorelei. I wonder how Lorelei survived

I continue battling with Lorelei and at the end.....

'Charizard, use Dragon Rage', I said.

Lorelei's Lapras fainted.

'Lorelei has no usable Pokemon, Challenger Red wins', said the Announcer.
