Friends and Foe Alike (Red)

I woke up in the morning.

'I thought you'll keep on sleeping like the last time', said Leaf, stuffing stuff in her stuffy bag.

'I am going to have a bath, I stink alot', I said. As I said, I had a bath.

We went downstairs to pick Magikarps again. Everyone was picking Magikarps but now there were just five.

'I want 1 again', said Leaf.

'Sorry but it already has been taken', said the Receptionist.

'3 ?', asked Leaf.

'Already picked', said the Receptionist.

'Which one's free ?', I asked.

'Only one', said the Receptionist.

'That means well have to battle each other ?', I asked.

'Duh -', said Leaf. 'But really I don't want to defeat you in a battle'.

'Are you joking ? I am gonna win', I said.

We both picked the number 5.

Our battle was in the evening. If I win, Leaf has to go to Sinnoh and if she wins, same thing but I'll be a loser.

I had an idea.

'Leaf, I have a great idea', I said.

'Let's call it even and finish with a draw', I said. 'If it is a draw, we both will battle with the Elite Fours, then we can pick different Magikarps in Champion Battle'.

'Not a bad idea', said Leaf.

We made a good plan to get a tie in the match and were confident that it would probably work. In the evening, we went to the stadium and started our battle.

'We have Red in the Left side and Leaf on the right', said the Announcer. 'Second Round Rules are different, you just have to use three Pokemons'.

And I was confident that my plan was about to fail. Leaf looked tensed.

'Go Raichu', said Leaf, half hearted.

'Go Pikachu', I said, half hearted.

'Raichu, use Shock Wave', said Leaf.

'Pikachu, go for a minor quick Attack', I said.

'Raichu, double team', said Leaf.

Raichu multiplied and became at least ten Raichus and ran around Pikachu, Pikachu was irritated.

'Pikachu, find which one is real by zapping every image', I said.

Pikachu zapped each Raichu until it found the real one. 'Raichu, use Iron Tail'.

'Pikachu, counter it with a Thunderbolt'. Pikachu stopped Raichu's attack, Raichu absorbed the Thunderbolt with it's Iron Tail and was badly injured.

Leaf looked at me in anger.

'Raichu, use Thuder'. Raichu's attack missed.

'Pikachu, use Thunder'. Raichu fainted.

'Come back, Raichu. Go Dugtrio'.

'Pikachu, Quick Attack'.

'Dugtrio, Dig'.

'Pikachu, stay alert'.

Dugtrio remained in the ground. I thought that Leaf and I, only one of us will reach till the Elite Four but I suddenly had a plan for a tie.

Dugtrio came out and Pikachu fainted.

Now, my plan was that I had to take down Dugtrio with such a Pokemon which would be weaker than Leaf's next Pokemon.

Most probably she was going to use her Dratini. 'Go Wartortle'.

'Dugtrio, use Fury Swipes'.

'Wartortle, use Water Pulse'. Dugtrio fainted.

If Leaf pull out Dratini then I have a chance for a draw, please just make Wartortle faint, I think I am the only person who wishes that way.

'Go Omastar', said Leaf. And my plan is definitely failing.

But you know, you can always make new. So I did, now I had a complete new plan,Plan C.

'Omastar, finish it with Ancient Power'.
Wartortle fainted. And definitely my plan was going to be successful.

'Go Snorlax', I said.

Now, guess what I am going to do. I would've chosen Charizard, or Lapras but what is it what Snorlax could do that my other Pokémons cannot ?

'Snorlax, use Headbutt', I said.

And no that thing is not Headbutt. Omastar's health was critical.

'Omastar, Water Gun'.

Now was the moment, to exeggcute, uh sorry, to execute my plan.

'Snorlax, use Self destruct', I said.

Snorlax fainted, so did Omastar.

Leaf looked at me with surprise.

'It is a tie', said the Announcer. 'You both are qualified to fight the Elite Four. Wait I have a notice from the other stadium, Red's match would be with Trace. And Leaf's match would be Chuck'.

That was more okay to me. Now I didn't have to battle Leaf at least.

We went back to the PokeCentre and got our Pokemons healed.

'How did you do it ?', asked Leaf.

'I knew my plan failed when they said that it will be a three on three but I made a plan to get a tie again and the only way was with Snorlax because he is my only Pokemon with Self Destruct. It was better than the older plan of Charizard versus Dratini', I said.

'Whatever it was, it was great', said Leaf.

'Hope to see you win tomorrow', I said. 'I did a lot of hard work today, don't let me down'.

'Shut up, come on', said Leaf. Walking towards the stairs and up to the room.
