Ever dreamt about being a Pokémon Trainer ? Well, it sounds kinda cool to me too but it sometimes isn't. The only thing you do is - walk. You literally walk continuously and it takes forever to reach your destination.

We were near a cave, I was not in a mood to travel in a cave. The entrance was small, it had a small wooden board, worn off from the edges which said - DIGLETT'S CAVE.

'I don't want to go inside that cave', I said.
'Why not ?', asked Leaf.

How could've I told her that I was afraid.
So I made up something.

'I don't think that is the ideal route to Lavender Town', I said.
'Let me ask the directions from someone', said Leaf.

She walked towards a woman who held shopping baskets in her hands.

'Excuse me, ma'am ?', said Leaf.
'Yes ?', she said.
'Can we know the way to Lavender Town', asked Leaf.
'I have no idea. I just shifted here from Sinnoh', she said.
'From Sinnoh ? I am going to shift there', said Leaf.
'Where in Sinnoh ?', asked the woman.
'In Twinleaf Town', said Leaf.
'Ha-ha-ha, you have a twin ?', I laughed.
'Not funny', said Leaf with a sarcastic smile.
'Um, sorry. But I'll come and visit you, for sure', I said.
'Uh, you both can come to my place. My grandfather probably knows where you guys should go', said the woman.
'Thank you very much', said Leaf.

'Follow me', said the woman.

We walked behind her slowly, Leaf talked about some Professor Rowan of Sinnoh. They also said that he was famous for his research of Pokémon Evolution.

Trust me, it was boring. Leaf actually gained some knowledge about Sinnoh in the past few months.

It was the month of October and I was just waiting for Christmas to come. I need a Play Station, no wait, I can't carry it along with me. I know, what about a vacation to Sinnoh in the next summers. I would be glad to meet Leaf, when she permanently shifts there.

As we walked on a bright blue-grey coloured pavements, I enjoyed stepping on the faces of famous personalities' mosaic drawings.

Then there was a place where I saw Machop Pokémon helping some workers to make a house. A man who would you call Gentleman, was directing them.

We stopped outside a big house near the seashore. There was Pokémon Union Club of Kanto carved with bronze on the wooden door.

We entered the house and woman called out Grandpa. An old man came out, he was the same man who kinda helped me with the directions to the S.S Anne.

'Hello, kid. I remember you from this morning', he said.
'Yeah', I said, unpleasantly.
'So, what brings you here ?', he asked.
'What is this place ?', asked Leaf.
'The Union Club ? We only grow plants and organise events thats all', he said.
'And we also want to know the way to Lavender Town', I said.
'Go back to Cerulean, then there is a Rock Tunnel near it which leads to the Lavender Town', said the old man.

'You mean we have to go back ?', I asked.
'There is no other way', said the old man.

We thanked him and were about to leave when he stopped me and gave me a ticket which, it was a Bike Voucher.

He told me to give it to the shopkeeper of the Bike Shop in Cerulean City.

We walked back to Cerulean City. I took Magikarp back from the Day Care.

When we reached Cerulean, it was nighttime, we stayed in the PokeCenter for the night.

I again had the same old dream, Mount Silver, Mew, Pokémon League and Leaf, it was kind of disturbing.

The other day, I woke up with a start.

Leaf wasn't in the room, I packed my bag and went downstairs, Leaf was talking to someone on the phone in the PokeCenter.

She wasn't happy, then she said - talk to you later and put the phone down.

'It was my mom', she said.
'Why are you sad ?', I asked.
'It's just, nothing'.
'Nothing ?'.
'Yeah'.
'Leaf, please'.
'Can we talk later about it ?'.
'Sure, whenever you are comfortable'.
'Thanks'.

She picked up her bag and walked outside.

'Psyduck, use Cut'.

A girl was teaching her Psyduck to use Cut but the Psyduck didn't understand anything. He looked pretty dumb to me.

'Why don't you listen to me ?', she said.

The Psyduck tilted its head and ran. The girl ran after it. We also ran after them to know what was going on.

The Psyduck jumped inside the Cerulean lake and the girl lost its tracks.

'Why is he like this ?', said the girl.
'Can we help ?', asked Leaf.
'Yeah, sure. But how ?.
'I have dealt with this kind of situation before. I just need a Fishing Rod'.
'What if he comes out on his own ?'.
'He will not'.
'Please stay here, my father has a Fishing Rod, I'll bring it'.
'Fine'.

She went away and came back in exactly two minutes.

'Here', said the girl.
'Thanks. Red, fish Psyduck out', said Leaf.
'Is that a joke ?', I asked.
'No', said Leaf.
'How am... Oh. You remember', I said.

Well, she just remembers that I used to fish.

I held the fishing rod and put the hook in the water. The string was pulled by something and I knew it was Psyduck. I pulled it with all the force I had.

Psyduck jumped out and I was all wet.

'Thank you', said the girl.
'Psyduck', said the Psyduck.
'You can keep the Psyduck if you want', said the girl.
'How can I keep your Pokémon ?', I asked.
'First of all, it's not mine. It is a wild Psyduck. Second, I was asking her', said the girl.
'Oh, fine', I said.
'Thank you very much', said Leaf.

Leaf got a Psyduck, the Pokeball disappeared and Psyduck was transferred to Professor Oak automatically because Leaf had more than six Pokémons in her team.

'Now, I need you to tell me. Why were you sad ?', I asked.
