Two years ago, it was the last time I was going to Professor Oak's Camp as I had to leave Kanto for a while and go to Sinnoh region as my parents were deciding to shift. I was nine then and ten years old weren't allowed in the camp.

I woke up and looked at the alarm clock while still remaining on the bed. I realised that I was running late. I quickly ran to the bathroom to take a quick shower and came out just in time.

I dressed up quickly wearing a white t-shirt and pink skirt. Then, ran downstairs. My mom was cooking breakfast and my dad was probably at the office in Cinnabar Island. He was a scientist and worked at a research lab.

'Good morning', I said. Looking at my mom who was wearing a blue jeans and dark pink t-shirt.

'Good morning. You are already late. What took you so long ?', asked Mom. She was always nice to everyone.

'You could've asked me to wake up', I said.
'I came but you didn't',she said.

She placed a plate on the dining table. It was Pancakes for breakfast. I had two of them and my stomach was full.

'Bye', I said.
'Bye, take care', said Mom.

I walked outside. The air was cool and fresh, I took a deep breath and started walking towards the camp.

Some elderly people were taking a morning walk in the park. The park was quiet big and also the shortest route to the camp.

I was close to a fountain in the park when suddenly a Pokemon jumped and splashed water on my clothes. It didn't felt nice, walking in wet clothes.

But it wasn't a big problem. I continued for the Camp. I could now see the board with Camp written on it.

And just in a distance, a boy was sitting on a rock, fixing his bicycle.

'Excuse me ?', I said. He turned around.
'Yes ?', he said.
'Aren't you going to the camp ?', I asked, nicely.
'I am but my cycle is kind of broken, I have to fix it first', he said.
'But you'll be late for the camp then', I said.
'You're right', he said, standing up.

He was a little taller than me. He had short messed up hair and had a Pokeball in his hand.

'I guess you brought a Pokemon with you', I said. I tried to talk in a friendly manner which I did rarely.
'So, you're from which school ?', he asked, calmly.
'Pallet High School', I said.
'I'm from the same school. But I never saw you before. You are in which class ?', he said.
'I am in fifth', I said.
'Oh, you're older than me. I'm just a year below', he said. He looked taller for a fourth class student.
'I'm Leaf', I said.
'My name is Red. I am eight years old', he said.
'Just a year above. Now, come on', I said.
'Alright. Friends ?', he asked.
'Friends', I said, smiling.

Well, that was a nice start for a friendship. He was nice and friendly. So we walked together to the Camp where Professor Oak lectured about Pokemon.

Then, Professor Oak taught how to battle with Pokemon. I probably did not get any Pokemon, because I forgot.

So I started looking at the flowers that were beautifully planted in a pattern. The flowers made a Pokeball with the red, black and white flowers.

'Hey, why aren't you battling', asked Red, in a pleasant tone.
'I forgot to bring a Pokemon', I said with a smile.
'Oh, that's sad', he said. 'Wait, do you wanna see my Pokemon ?', he asked.
'It would be nice to meet it', I said.
'Wait, I'll get him', he said, walking away.

Suddenly, a swarm of Beedrills came towards me. I was really afraid and I thought they are coming to attack me. Well, they were really coming to attack.

There were about seventy Beedrills. They were too close when suddenly a thunderbolt buzzed them away.

Behind me, Red along with a Pikachu was standing. 'You okay ?', he asked me. I took a deep breathe and said,' Thank you very much'.

I was happy that I was saved by them.

'This is my Pokemon',he said.
'Hi, thank you', I said. 'Thank you both'.
'Pikachu deserves this one', he said.

Pikachu placed his hand on the back of his neck and became shy.

'Pikapika', he said.

The day probably ended like this. I walked with Red to his house and waved my hand as he kept his broken bicycle outside leaning to the wall. I smiled at him and he went inside and suddenly a phone rang.

I walked towards my house which was too far away from there. That day I learnt that making friends is the best thing in life. And I didn't realise that till now and only lived in the virtual world with the games and all.

But this day, I would never forget.
