"Adrianna"

Adrianna offered a small smile, holding no emotion or explanation. "Are you going to invite me in?"

Chris's mouth opened but quickly closed, his words disappearing from his brain.

Adrianna rolled her eyes and walked past him. The apartment was small, cozy enough for two people though. She turned around and leant against the wall, "So a few days ago, i was in the hospital. Specifically, the ICU. See, I was being treated for a cardiac failure caused by a stab wound to the chest. I don't about you, but I haven't been stabbed recently. I've actually been staying out of all supernatural related phenomenons. Would you care to explain how that's possible?"

Chris let his hand fall from the tight grip he had on the door. He couldn't process what was happening right now, why she was here and babbling about more problems that just added to his ever growing list. His eyebrows drew together, his head starting to hurt. "What?"

Adrianna took in a deep breath, pushing herself off the wall. "Let me slow it down for you. I was stabbed, I mean, someone was stabbed and I felt it. And there are only two people I am connected to, one of them is here and i'm pretty sure she is perfectly fine."

Chris's frown deepened, "That doesn't make any sense"

Adrianna scoffed, "Of course it doesn't. So i came back, to try an figure out what the hell is going on, do you want to know what i found?"

Chris slowly nodded, uncertainty behind his eyes. He had a feeling where this was leading as he started to put the pieces together.

"Recently deceased, 41 year old female, fatal stab wound to the heart, Victoria Argent." Adrianna felt the air knocked out of her and her face fall at Chris's reaction. His face paled, his fists clenched. Her aunt was dead and no one bothered to tell her. Not even a phone call. Adrianna chuckled, "Well, thanks for telling me."

She started walking forwards, purposely moving around Chris.

"Adrianna-"

"You know what?" Adrianna spun around as she was in the doorway, "I know we haven't been close for a very long time but I thought I at least deserved to know."

Beacon Hills High had changed. It might have been the only thing that has. It looked newer but less alive, like the walls had witnessed one too many horrors. The kids were brighter, smarter but as cautious as they should be. They all passed Adrianna with confused and accusatory looks.

Adrianna didn't quite know why she was here, or where she was going. She just wanted to be away from Chris and seeing her cousin seemed like the best thing to do.

The halls were quieter than outside but not by much, class must have just let out. Kids hustled to get spots in the sun, to go see their friends in other classes, to eat.

Adrianna couldn't force the anger out. How could Chris not tell her, she understood Allisons reasons, it would be too hard but Chris has dealt with loss way worse. A letter would have sufficed.

She slowed down as she passed a hall that was rather empty compared to the rest. She took a few steps back and peered down it. She felt frustration and plenty of tension. She glanced around, no one was noticing the fairly loud voices emitting from the room either, it disrupted the silence of the school.

Suddenly the door pulled open so fast it could've fallen off its hinges. A man walked out, his demeanour superior and definitely not human. He was built up well with dark hair and a light beard. His eyes met hers and he stumbled back nearly straight away. Shock spread across his features, his body stilling.

Adrianna frowned, he seemed familiar but she couldn't place him. Like a thought wanting to push through but just won't. The way he looked at her, his previously harsh features instantly softening.

The bell suddenly rang overhead. Kids started to barge back inside, ready for the next set of classes. Adrianna pulled her lips into a straight line and disappeared into the crowd

---

Adrianna found herself in the library, her back pressed against the wall. She didn't know who that man was but she felt like she did. She felt that spark she feels when her body starts to make a connection. But she can't make connections to strangers, it's impossible.

Her head perked up at another feeling, slightly different to what she felt around that man. It was dominant, but slightly more aggressive, powerful and it felt doubled. She moved down the small lobby area and around a shelf that led into the study space. Her eyes immediately landed on two teenagers, identical twins, they even wore the same leather jackets and shirt.

How many people in this town weren't human?

Her eyes spotted a red head approaching them, she was beautiful and dominant in her own highschool queen bee way. But she herself was different, it wasn't as obvious though. Perhaps she's suppressing it.

Her eyes travelled from the red head to a familiar brown head. Well, this a coincidence. She chuckled and walked over to the table, sliding in the seat across from Allison and in time to hear the end of her statement. ". . . a logo-"

Allisons eyes widened and the paper cup dropped from her hand, luckily it was empty. She stared at Adrianna, trying to understand what was happening.

Adrianna gave a cheeky smile, rather enjoying her cousins discomfort and confusion. "Hi"
