"What are you doing?" Scott asked curiously as Adrianna kept walking with them to his next class.
"I'm going to class with you."
He frowned, glancing at Isaac whom was miles ahead of them, fuming. "Why?"
She took in a deep breath, already despising the plan she had set in motion last night. "Because, you have a fuming Isaac in your lap that is going to cause a bloodbath if he isn't kept on a leash." She explained, "And, my cousin goes to this school, where things like murders seem to be conducted. I'd like to keep her alive so therefor, that's why I'm going to class with you."
Scott smirked, trying so hard not to laugh. "You enrolled yourself in school, here?"
Adrianna pulled her lips into a tight line and nodded. "Unfortunately."
He chuckled, "No offence, but you don't look like a 17 year old."
Adrianne scoffed, "I know. But obviously the idiots who run this school don't know that."
They walked into the science room where a teacher was flipping through his notes on his desk. He had cropped hair and thin glasses, looked like he had a real big stick up his ass. Adrianna sat next to Scott, behind Isaac. She could feel his anger, rolling off him like tidal waves. This wasn't going to end well.
"Alright. Since Inertia is a subject which you all know plenty, why don't we start with momentum." The teacher underlined the word on the blackboard before turning to face the class.
"They're here for a reason. Give me a chance to figure it out before you do anything, okay?" Scott whispered Isaac, attempting to calm him or at least give him reason to wait.
Isaac didn't reply, he continued to stare ahead as, most likely, many murderous thoughts ran through his head.
"Danny, what do we know about momentum?" The teacher asked a kid sitting in the front row.
"It's a product of mass and velocity. The more massive something is, the faster it's going."
"Mr Harris. can I use the bathroom please?" Isaac interjected, straightening his back.
The teacher, now known as Mr Harris, nodded and gestured with his hand to the door. Isaac scrambled up and left the room quickly, his fists clenching.
"I have to use the bathroom too." Scott suddenly said, rising to his feet. He glanced nervously between Mr Harris and the door, he didn't want to leave Isaac alone too long. Adrianna cocker her head at the boys she learnt more about every day, he cared so much for people he barely knew, people who are known to be killers.
"One at a time." Mr Harris answered
"But I really have to go. Like medical emergency have to go."
"Mr McCall, if your bladder suddenly exploded and urine began to pour from every orifice. I would still respond one at a time." Mr Harris explained rather calmly. "Is that enough hyperbole for you, or would you like me to come up with something more vivid?"
Scott sighed, his jaw tightening. "No. No, that's pretty good." Scott sat back down, looking to Adrianna with a desperate look.
Adrianna sighed, pushing down the smirk she wanted to show from the teachers vivid response. He was amusing. "Look, he's not going to do anything at school Scott. It's too open, too-" Adrianna cut herself off with a yell, her eyes widening as a searing pain shot through her back.
Scott frowned, his mind going on alarm. "Adrianna?"
Adrianna tried to hold onto something as she fell to the floor. She felt blood seep through her shirt and slip down her cold skin. It felt like a pole twisting in her back. Someone was in pain. Her body started to heat up as it did, her mind trying to push something forwards, to let her know who was in danger. She pushed back, suppressing her power as much as she could, as she's always done.
Scott grabbed her, his eyes widening slightly more at the blood pooling on her back. "What's happening?"
Adrianna shook her head, gasping for air. Every move hurt, every muscle in her back. She sure didn't miss this.
"Ms Argent, are you alright?" Mr Harris wondered, his face full of confusion as he looked upon the outburst.
Adrianna clenched her teeth, grabbing onto Scotts arms. "I'm-I'm fine." What the hell was happening!
Everyones heads rose when they heard slamming of metal in the corridor. Mr Harris frowned, leaving the room to see what the commotion was about. The other students eyes drifted from Adrianna's and followed their teacher out to the hall.
Scott let out a stressed breath, "Are you okay?"
Adrianna nodded, her lips forming a tight line.
Scott nodded and hoisted her arm around his shoulders, forcing her to put most of her weight on him, which wasn't much at all. They hobbled out into the hallway.
Their eyes went wide when they saw Isaac standing over a beat up Ethan on the ground.
"What is this? What's going on?" Mr Harris asked, looking between the boys.
The boy Mr Harris addressed as Danny dropped to his knees, pushing Ethan up against the lockers. "Are you alright?"
Ethan looked up to Isaac, his face bloodied and bruised. "He just came at me."
"Isaac, what the hell did you do?" Mr Harris accused.
Adrianna and Scott looked at each other, their eyes full of confusion as they silently communicated. Maybe he would do something at school. Or maybe, they were trying to rile him up.
