"Kill him."
Derek whipped his head to look at Deucalion, his eyes taking in Deucalions expression and quickly realising he was serious. He looked down to Boyd whom was pinned against the floor, coughing up blood from his wound. His eyes held fear, for he never knew what Derek was capable of.
"The others can go."
Adrianna pulled against Ennis grip, her teeth grinding together as her shoulder itched slightly out of place. He growled at her, pressing his claws harder against her throat.
Boyd had managed to roll to his side, his breath heavy. He wasn't sure what Derek would do for his family, or how much he was worth to Derek as a friend, or a pack member.
"You're beaten." Deucalion started walking down the stairs, egging him on. "Do it, Derek. Take the first step."
Derek didn't move, he was conflicted. He didn't want to hurt Boyd, nevertheless kill him. But at the risk of not fulfilling Deucalions wishes, Cora and Adrianna and everyone else in that room could die.
"Are we serious with this kid?" Kali mocked, "Look at him. He's an alpha?" She looked him and down disapprovingly. "To what? A couple of useless teenagers?"
"Some have more promise than others." Deucalion commented, turning to look at Scott. Then to Adrianna. He wanted them to join him, he wanted the ultimate weapon.
"Let him rise to the occasion then. What'll be Derek? Pack, or family?" Kali pushed her foot down against Cora's throat, the girl gripping her foot and choking for air.
Derek stared at the ground, his eyes moving back and forth as he contemplated his options. He knew the right thing to do, in a situation where there wasn't a right thing. He could save his family, including Scott and Isaac, and kill Boyd. Or, he could value Boyds life above theirs and save him. His eyes slowly shifted to Boyd, he could see only one solution to this solution-less situation.
Scotts eyes went wide and flickered between the two wolves, he could see Dereks choice in his eyes. And Adrianna could feel it, she could feel his guilt already building for what he was about to do.
Something suddenly wisped through the air, a small whistle following it. It slammed into the twins with a loud crack and an awfully bright light. The twins released their grips on Scott and isaac and fell back, separating from the big monster.
Another arrow flew to next to Kali. She screamed and stumbled off Cora, blinded by the light. Arrows were flying everywhere, knocking into the alphas. One landed near Ennis, he coward from the light and released Adrianna.
"You're eyes!" Deucalion knelt between the middle wall of the escalator. "Cover your eyes!"
Adrianna rolled forwards and sprung to her feet, her eyes searching the room for the source of the distraction. The very much needed distraction. They landed on a platform above them, opposite to where the twins had flipped off from. Allison stood there, lowering her bow, a proud smirk covering her lips.
Adrianna couldn't help but smile at her cousin. That damn girl. She snapped her head back to the fight as growling filled the space. Ennis and Scott were staring at each other, eyeing each other up. They had their feet back, ready to fight.
They both gave a slight roar before charging.
They collided with a thud so loud it sounded like thunder, dust flew off them and they both stumbled back. Scott scraped his hand along the ground, slowing himself down. He raised his head to look an Ennis, and the room practically froze.
Adrianna's mouth parted, her eyebrows drawing together. Deucalion had told her, but she of course didn't believe him. But now, his eyes were red. Alpha red.
Scott squeezed his eyes shut, shaking his head slightly. When he opened them, they had returned to their original gold.
Adrianna shook her head, he really was a true alpha.
Derek ran up behind Ennis, shoving him forwards. They went on, one on one.
Adrianna ran over to Isaac whom was with Boyd and Cora. She fell as she reached them, yelling as two clashes appeared across her chest. Isaac caught her, his warmth and arms cradling her. She pushed herself up, her eyes scanning over his body for any injury. She tried to ignore the battle in the background, the growling and struggling.
She looked over to Boyd and Cora, they looked pretty beat up. "Are you okay?"
Cora nodded for them both. Her eyes suddenly went wide as they moved to something behind Adrianna.
Adrianna ducked as a clawed foot barely missed where her face would have been. She spun around, her body, her wounds that were buzzing with pain, screaming at her. She blocked a blow from Kali. She punched her in the nose. She grabbed her hair and pulled it, kneeing her in the arch of her back.
Kali clawed at her arm. She gripped it and spun herself around, landing a harsh blow to her cheek. Adrianna stumbled back. Kali half spun and kicked her side, then nailed her face again.
Adrianna grabbed her fist as it was coming down on her. Her hands started to glow with the purple mist. She clenched her teeth, her lips pulling into a tight line, before she pushed up. Kali screamed and flew across the room, slamming into a cement pillar.
The growling and struggling suddenly stopped. Adrianna spun to see Derek and Ennis slipping from the ledge they were fighting on and falling to the depths below. She felt her heart stop. She screamed, running forwards. Mid-run she teleported close to the ledge, tumbling across the ground as nearly every bone in her body broke, her head felt like a sledge hammer had hounded it, blood seeped from everywhere. She couldn't move. She couldn't hear anything but a loud ringing. Her body was heating up, an overwhelming darkness pulling at her mind. She tried to scream, maybe she did. It hurt. It all hurt.
Derek was dead.
