Peter pulled his claws out rather harshly, letting blood splatter down Adrianna's neck. She gasped for air, holding the back of her neck as she fell to the floor. Her head felt like it was on fire, images and emotions attempting to push forwards and take over.
Derek ran over to her, pulling her shoulders up onto his lap. He fingers were clasped tightly around her shirt, anger boiling through him.
"What the hell is wrong with you!" Cora nearly yelled, moving around Derek to Adrianna's side.
Peter sighed, wiping the blood of his hand as his claws retracted. "Oh come on. You knew that was the only way to give her memories back."
Derek looked up at Peter, his lips in a tight line. "We weren't even sure if it would have worked."
Peter sat down on the couch, putting his feet up on the coffee table and relaxing. "You will now."
Adrianna squeezed her eyes shut, her whole body felt like it was on fire. She could hear voices, familiar ones. Derek and Cora and her. They were young, happy. Her eyes tore open, glowing a beautiful magenta as the images of her past, her childhood, surfaced.
She could see them in the forest, running around, kicking up all the fallen leaves from the trees. She would hide behind trees and jump out and scare the them. Their laughter filled the air, from a time when things weren't as bad. She could smell brownies coming from the Hale house, and she effulged herself in it's scent. Derek was running towards her with a big grin on his face, he was so young, he looked so free. She teleported, appearing behind him and pushing him forwards. He turned towards her, feigning mock hurt. "No powers A. It's not fair!"
Adrianna pulled in as much air as she could, bolting upright. Her hand flew to her neck that was still bleeding and felt bruised. Her head was pounding. But she felt different. She could feel more, more of Dereks and Cora and even Peters emotions. She could practically feel the connection between her and Derek as if it were another limb.
How had she not been able to remember such a gifted childhood before?
Derek helped her to her feet, eyeing her warily. "Are you okay?"
Adrianna rubbed her neck some more before pulling her hand away. Blood was covering her palm. She looked to Peter, remembering how he once was a good man. "Are you out of your bloody mind!"
Peter rolled his eyes, leaning forwards on the couch. "It worked, didn't it?"
Adrianna rolled her eyes, "Asshole." She turned to Derek. She felt like he was her family, that type of love she only carried for Allison and Chris. It was very overwhelming. "Why didn't you tell me sooner?"
Cora walked back over to them, handing Adrianna a wet cloth.
Adrianna gave her a small smile. She has figured it out, Cora was the girl she was trying to save in the fire. In that nightmare she had.
"I don't know. I just didn't know how."
Adrianna winced as the cold of the cloth hit her skin, soaking up the blood and healing the bruising that was forming. She walked over to the table, leaning her back against it as the rain continued to pour down as night continued to wane on. She sighed, taking in a long breath. "I met Deucalion, again."
Derek and Cora frowned, and the news seemed to catch enough of Peters attention to warrant him into a sitting position with his ears wide open.
"What happened?" Derek wondered, crossing his arms over his chest.
Adrianna sighed, she threw the cloth against the bench. "He just reminisced in something I wish he wouldn't have and mentioned he wants you and me to join his pack." She needed to talk to Scott, did he know what Deucalion wants of him? Did he know what he was to become?
Derek look down to the ground, his muscles tensing under his shirt in anger. "Yeah. He payed us a visit today, you may have felt it?"
Adrianna nodded, she was getting more answers than one tonight, how excellent. "Is he more of a threat than the Darach?"
Cora frowned, "Darach?"
Adrianna let out a breath, they must not be caught up with the revelations of today. "The thing that's been sacrificing people."
The siblings nodded their heads in understanding.
"I don't know."
Adrianna slowly nodded, she bit on her bottom lip. "I want him dead Derek. He's caused to much trouble."
Derek rubbed the back of his neck, "I know and I agree. As soon as we get an opportunity, we'll take him out."
"Good."
