It burned. Flames and heat and smoke smothering her lungs and crawling up her skin. She could hear their screams, children, their hands banging on doors and bars to let them out. They were locked inside this burning house with her. She grabbed a girls arms, pulling her close to her chest as she shushed and hushed her taunting cries. She ran to a door, kicking at it with her feet as hard as she could. Smoke infiltrated the room as soon as the door burst open, the fire breathing life into the once cold room. She was thrown back by the ferocity and heat of the flames, the child falling from her arms. She screamed for her, the name getting lost in the muffled ears of hers. She couldn't see, but she could hear her screams, feel the heat creeping up on her side. She screamed once again for the child, her eyes searching through the heavy smoke and soot. The fire had buried the girl as it soon will her.

Adriannas body slammed into the wall across the room, her eyes searching through the dark that looked like the soot from her dream. Her chest was rising and falling rapidly, gulping in as much air as it could. She could still feel the flames dancing on her skin, their screams.

Her arm out stretched to her right, fumbling for the light switch.

The light finally flicked on, casting its warm glow upon the room. Her breathing started to calm, the shaking lessening. She slumped into the wall, her head pounding. What the hell did she just see? It felt so real, it had to of been a memory. But who's? Hers?

She sighed, trudging down the hall and into the bathroom. She creaked the tap on and let cold water splash upon her face and wake her up from whatever she just witnessed. That girl, she felt so familiar, she knew her. In real life.

Adrianna took in a deep breath, pushing her eyes up to meet her reflection. This town, it definitely took a toll on her. She sighed once more, walking down the hall and to the kitchen. Light poured in through the curtains she forgot to close, allowing her to know that it was another day full of whatever the moon decided to throw at her.

She took her phone off charge and turned on the coffee pot, letting the calming gurgle fill the apartment. Her eyes frowned as she eyed one of the notifications on her phone, the police scanner Chris had set up, there was another murder, at Beacon Hills High.

---

The boy had brown hair, curled on top of his head that hung low. He was tied to the tree by his neck that was cut and had bruising from being strangled. Blood spilled down his entire front half, ruining his clothes.

Adrianna moved further around him, her eyebrows knitting together. His head was bashed in as well. That makes four victims. Who the hell is doing this?

Her eyes travelled up to two boys that just arrived at the scene, their eyes staring horrified at the boy they seemed to have known. Scott, Stiles and Isaac. Tension rolled off them like a thick blanket, something else has happened this morning.

She moved up to stand next to Stiles, "Did you know him?"

The boys eyes whipped up to hers, their eyebrows drawing together in confusion. Especially Stiles, whom has only met her once in a rather awkward meeting.

Scott nodded, looking back to the boy. "He was at the clinic last night. I think that's his dogs leash."

Adrianna's face scrunched up as she eyed the black leash wrapped around his neck. Someone was purely psychopathic to use his own dogs leash to strangle him.

"Hey! Get out of the way! Get back. Get this area cordoned off before they trample every piece of evidence." Sherriff Stilinski marched up the hill, his face full of tired wrinkles, his Sherriff years had not been kind to him.

A deputy started yelling things to the kids, holding her arms up and pushing them back.

"Get these kids out of here!" Sherriff yelled, for extra clarification.

"Dad, just come here." Stiles pulled his father closer to the body. "Look look, look at it. It's the same as the others, you see?"

"Yeah, I see that. Do me a favour. Go back to school, yeah?" The Sherriff softly ordered his son. He turned to Coach, "Coach, can you give us a hand here?"

"You heard the man! Nothing to see here! Probably just some homeless kid." Coach instructed.

"Coach-" Scott started

"He was a senior."

Coach let out a big breath, putting his hand over his mouth. He hadn't realised the kid went to the school. "He wasn't on the team, was he?"

Adrianne raised her eyebrows, looking at Coach. Such a strange man he was. She jumped back at a scream of an obnoxiously loud teenage girl. She had blond hair and was running towards the dead guy. "Oh my god! Kyle!" She sobbed out, thrashing against the deputy's arms that held her back.

Scott gently grabbed Adrianna's arm, pulling her with them as they walked back to school.

"Did you see the way the twins looked at him?" Isaac nearly accused, his eyes staring off at the two alpha twins that were staring at the body with as much shock at everyone else.

"The twins that looked at him like they had no idea what happened?" Stiles suggested.

"No, no, they knew."

"The kid was strangled with a garrote, all right? Am i the only one recognizing the lack of werewolfitude in these murders?" Stiles argued, his tone suggesting that he had a theory.

"You think it's a coincidence they turn up and then people start dying?" Isaac countered

"Well no, but i still don't think it's them."

They had slowed to a stop now. "So what do you it is then Stiles?" Adrianna asked with a curious tone.

He looked to her, eyeing her up and down. He didn't really know her but yet Scott seemed to trust her. And frankly, he suspected her, maybe he could get her to slip up. "I think it's human sacrifices, its all the same injuries on every murder. And the first three? They were all virgins."

Adrianna squinted her eyes, slowly nodding. Human sacrifices? That was definitely a new one. One that, surprisingly, made sense.

"Scott?" Isaac wondered, turning to his friend. "How about you?"

"I don't know yet."

Stiles raised his eyebrows, his arms crossed over his chest. "You don't know yet?"

Scott looked at his best friend, "Well, he's-he's got a point. Seriously dude, human sacrifices?"

Stiles' arms dropped to his sides, his face holding an expression of absolute disbelief. "Scott, your eyes turn into yellow glow sticks, okay? Hair literally grows from your cheeks and then will immediately disappear, and if I were to stab you right now, it would just magically heal, but you're telling me you're having trouble grasping human sacrifices?"

Scott raised his eyebrows, letting out a stiff breath. He turned to Isaac, "That's a good point too."

Isaac clenched his jaw, staring at Stiles with fire in his eyes. A fire that, Adrianna had to admit, was quite attractive on him. "I don't care, all right? They killed that kid. They killed that girl that saved me. And I'm gonna kill them too."
