a bad talk

Adrianna stared at the entrance of the school, her eyebrows drawn together in frustration, her fingers tapping rapidly against her thigh. She knew it wasn't Isaacs fault, she knew the twins were just trying to rile them up, she knew no one else was holding it against him and she shouldn't either. But her anger just wasn't something she was ever good at keeping a lid on.

"I am really sorry for her hurting her. I swear I didn't mean to. It's just-"

"I know." She cut him off rather bluntly. "I know it wasn't your fault."

He raised his eyebrows, "Then why are you still angry?"

"I'm an angry person." A small smirk appeared on her lips as a thought struck her. She slowly turned around to face him. "Why are you in such a need for me to not be angry at you?"

Isaac shrugged, attempting to play it off although he was confused on it himself. He, for some reason, couldn't bear the thought of her hating him. "Maybe I just don't want you to be angry." He turned and walked over to Allison whom was fiddling with one of the twins bikes.

Adrianna couldn't help it as her eyes lingered on the blue eyed boy for a few moments longer. He was curious, the way he was perhaps softer with her compared to his sarcastic attitude to everyone else. And she couldn't ignore the obvious flirting. But yet a part of her perhaps liked it.

"How long is this going to take?" Isaac asked Allison.

Allison stood up and turned on the engine, smiling proudly at them. Isaac smirked and got on the bike, feeling for the way everything worked but it was obvious he had no idea what he was doing.

Adrianna sighed and walked over to him. "Pull back with you left hand, kick down to put in gear." She put her hand over his right one. "Front brake. Throttle. Back brake for stopping." She looked up at him, not realising they were only a mere few inches apart. She could feel his body heat and how alive his oceanic eyes seemed. She felt a small smile pull at her lips, "Try not to crash."

"Yeah. Been there, done that."

Adrianna nodded and stepped back, for some reason, missing the warmth of his hand under hers.

Allison took a few steps back, taking out her phone. She took a picture of Isaac atop the bike and sent it to Scott. She put her phone away and nodded at him, plan piss of the twins was ready to go.

Isaac revved the engine before speeding off down the path and into the school.

The cousins smirked at each other, proud of their efforts. They sure hoped this would work to their advantage. The took of sprinting towards the classroom.

They saw people coming out of the classes, curious looks on their faces as they wondered what the awfully loud noises were.

Adrianna skidded to a stop next to Scott, her eyes landing on Aiden standing over his bike and assessing it for damage.

Ms Blake pushed herself through the crowd, absolute disbelief crossing her features as she saw what was happening. "You've got to be kidding me." Aiden snapped his head up to her. "You realise this is going to result in a suspension."

Adrianna smirked, crossing her arms over her chest. Paybacks a bitch.

Adrianna grabbed her bag and her keys off the counter, walking towards the door. She had to see Deaton, she needed answers and she needed him to have them because she didn't want to have to go asking Derek herself.

She opened the door to see Scott standing on the other side, his fist raised in a ready to knock position. She frowned, slightly shocked he was here and he even knew where she lived. "I don't need to tell you this is creepy, right?"

He lowered his hand, his eyes going a bit wide. "Oh, uh, Allison-Allison told me where you lived."

Adrianna raised her eyebrows, "And you wanted to know why?"

His face lit up like an idea just came to him, or like he forgot why he was here and now remembered. "I wanted to talk to you."

"Uh, now's not really the best time."

"It won't take long, i promise."

Adrianna sighed, he had hope in his eyes as well as a burning curiosity. She had a bad feeling about what he wanted to talk about. She clenched her fist around her keys and stepped aside, "You have 5 minutes."

Scott nodded, a smile spilling onto his lips. He walked inside, looking around her place with interest.

Adrianna put her keys in her bag and dropped the bag on the floor next to the door. She walked towards Scott whom lingered in the open area in the lounge. "So. . . ."

Scott snapped his attention to her, putting his hands into his jacket pockets. "Uh so-" He chuckled nervously. "This has been burning a hole into my mind since I met you and i tried to figure it out on my own because I didn't want to prod you for answers but i couldn't so i went to Deaton who said it was your story to tell and that's why I'm here."

Adrianna's eyebrows drew together, "What was burning in your mind?"

Scott looked up to her, his brown eyes swirling with nerves. She was pretty sure he has never been this nervous before. "What you are."

Adrianna let out a breath she didn't know she had in, chewing on her lower lip. She didn't know how to answer that. "And what have you come up with?"

Scott shrugged, "Well, you aren't a werewolf. And you get strange wounds that seem to copy other peoples, and you seem to know things about people, about what their feeling, and you can move from one place to another in the blink of an eye and that vending machine today? I have no idea how you moved that but i know you did."

Adrianna nodded, her fists clenching and unclenching rapidly. She couldn't tell him, she couldn't admit to herself that she never escaped who she was. She shouldn't have stayed, she knew they would find out and that's one thing she dreaded. "Well, that's very interesting."

Scott stepped forwards, "So what are you?"

Adrianna shook her head, "I can't tell you."

"Why not? We've seen what you can do, you can't hide it."

"I know i can't." She nearly whispered, but she knew he heard her.

"What are you afraid of? Why won't you tell me?"

Adrianna looked up at him, her glare turning cold. "Because maybe it's none of your business."

"It is when you're doing that stuff around us, when it could be a risk to us."

She rolled her eyes, she had already heard this all from Stiles earlier. "I'm not a risk to you. I'm here to protect Allison and my Uncle, to find out what the hell is wrong with my powers-" She slammed her mouth shut, she couldn't believe she just said that.

Scott raised his eyebrows, "Powers?"

Adrianna shook her head, "I have to go." She walked towards the door, picking up her bag and opening it.

"Adrianna, wait-"

She flung around, gripping the door so hard her knuckles were white. "No Scott. I can't tell you okay? Because i can't become what i was, i can't even-" She took in a deep breath. "Please. Just leave it alone."
