The rain pelted down, soaking Adrianna as she ran into the building. The sun was setting, casting rainbows in the murderous sky. She could hear thunder crackle above her, this was going to be a big storm.
She pressed the elevator button and stepped back, waiting. She needed to talk to Allison, fill her in on everything that's been happening. There's been a lot and she couldn't lie, it was a little overwhelming.

The elevator dinged and the doors slid open. Adrianna walked inside, pressing the button for Allisons floor. The doors waited a second before starting to close, making sure no one was in the way.

The doors suddenly jammed and stopped closing. Adrianna's eyebrows drew together in confusion, she looked down to see a white stick with a red tip stuck in between the doors. It looked to be a walking stick for the blind. The doors started to re-open.

A man stood on the other side, he had light brown hair and black out sunglasses on. He tapped his stick against the ground as he walked in and stood next to her. "Penthouse please."

Adrianna's frown deepened. She slowly reached her arm out and pressed the button, stepped back and away from the man. He was familiar, very familiar. He carried the same feeling she got when she was at the bank last week with Allison. Her eyes widened as she looked to the man next to her. At the bank, with the other alphas.

"It's nice to see you again Adrianna." She remembered his voice now. She remembered coming across his pack a very long time ago, when the twins had just become the alphas they are now.

"I can't say the same Deucalion."

He chuckled, resting his hands atop of his walking stick. "Do you remember the last time we met?"

She took in a deep breath, she didn't want to remember. "Of course." Her voice was tight, constricted, and held a lot of anger.

"I heard you were here, back in this town. I'm sorry we haven't been able to see each other again sooner, I have been busy."

"What do you want Deucalion?"

He let out a small breath, "What I've always wanted Adrianna. I want power. I want you, and I want Scott, and I want Derek."

Adrianna frowned, "Why? How will they help you get power?"

Deucalion frowned, "Can't you sense it? Scotts potential? And Derek, well you know him."

Adrianna's frown deepened, she could feel Scott, he felt like an alpha but he wasn't. It did confuse her slightly, but how did Deucalion know that? And what did he mean by she knew Derek?

Deucalion shook is head, "You don't know Derek? Did they take that from you too?"

Adrianna felt rage bubble in her, rippling across her skin and flowing through every single vein. He wasn't allowed to speak about her past. That was none of his filthy business.

He chuckled once more, "Calm down Adrianna. You'll know soon."

She stepped close to him, "Don't you dare touch Scott, or his friends. Just get the hell out of this town."

Deucalion turned to her, "And you're going to stop me?" He shook his head, "I would be careful Adrianna. You have a lot coming your way."

The elevator dinged and the doors slid open. Her chest was rising and falling rapidly, her fists clenched. She hated this man.

She turned and walked out of the elevator, staring at him with a murderous glare as the doors closed him in and took him to his own destination. He was in the same building as Allison, how had she not known that before?

She opened the door to the apartment, walking straight to Chris' study. "Did you know Deucalion is staying in this building?"

Chris frowned, covering up whatever he was doing and raising his head to look at her. "What?"

"The alpha pack. They're here, in this building. You have to leave."

"No. We can defend ourselves."

"Against an entire pack of alphas? You're human Chris, and so is Allison. You're not safe here."

Chris stood up, letting out a tired sigh. "We're not safe anywhere, not in this town."

"Maybe you should leave this town too then."

"We're not leaving." Allison firmly spoke.

Adrianne turned to see her cousin had entered the room, her face firm. "So you would rather risk your lives?"

Allisons face softened, "We risk our lives everyday. We're not going to run from our problems."

Adrianna sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose. She knew that, she knew that she was weak for running from hers. "I know. It's just-I don't want either of you getting hurt. Or possibly killed."

Allison took in a confident breath. "We will be fine. Trust me."

"How did you find out about Deucalion living here?" Chris wondered.

"I uh, I just met him. In the elevator."

Chris was on alarm, stepping around the desk. "What did he say?"

Adrianna shook her head, she didn't want to tell them, at least not the whole truth. "Uh just that he wants me. . . ." She paused, she wasn't sure if Scott had told them about what Deucalion said to her, or if he even wanted them to know. "And Derek, me and Derek to join his pack. "

"You're not going to, right?" Allison asked.

Adrianna shook her head, disbelief crossing her features. "Of course not." She looked down, biting on her lower lip. Deucalions words kept floating about her mind. How did she know Derek?
