Adrianna rushed over to Cora, her knees grazing the ground as she skidded next to her. Her eyes analysed the blood wound on her head, it was already bruised and the blood hadn't started to clot yet.

"You can't do this!" Ethan yelled at his brother when the weight had dropped to the ground and become less of a threat.

"She came at me!" Aiden agued back.

"It doesn't matter! Kali gave Derek until the next full moon. You can't touch him or her."

Aiden's fangs disappeared and his claws retracted. His breathing fuelled by his anger had settled as his eyes met Lydia's. He knew what she was thinking of him, he could see that familiar look in her eyes.

Adrianna stared at him with fury, Stiles having to rest his arm against hers to stop her from doing anything rash. She wanted to hit him with that weight, over and over until he was nothing but a bloody mess of brains.

Ethan sighed and looked down, ignoring the stares from everyone in the room. He grabbed his brother and pushed him out of the room without another word.

"Hey guys, I think she's pretty hurt." Stiles commented, his eyes staring softly at Cora.

Adrianna snapped her attention back to Cora, her hand gently pushing some of her hair away from her sweating face. "Hey Lydia, can you get a wash cloth please?"

Lydia nodded and scrambled to her feet, disappearing around the corner.

Stiles and Adrianna carefully grabbed Cora and helped her to her feet, holding her shoulders to steady her.

Cora held her head, her eyes opening and blinking rapidly as she tried to adjust her vision. She groaned and stumbled over to the sink. Adrianna and Stiles followed behind her slowly in case she fell.

Lydia rushed back in with a white wash cloth and handed it to Cora.

Cora muttered her thanks and leaned against the sink, putting the cloth to the wound on her head. She winced as the warm water came into contact with the wound. Everyone else winced for her. The wound looked pretty bad.
A sigh left her lips as she dragged the cloth over the blood, attempting to get rid of at least some of it.

"You okay?" Scott asked, leaning against the wall.

"She doesn't look okay." Lydia commented.

Cora rolled her eyes, "I'll heal." She put the cloth in the sink and stepped away from the mirror. Her hand clutched her head and she started to fall.

Stiles and Scott instantly moved forward, preparing to catch her.

Cora shook their arms off her, "I said, I'm fine."

"Do you realise how suicidally crazy that was? What were you thinking going after them?" Stiles started to lecture although his tone was soft.

"I did it for Boyd." Cora snapped at him. "None of you were doing anything."

"We're trying." Scott convinced, although it sounded more of an assurance for himself.

"And you're failing. You're just a bunch of stupid teenagers, running around thinking that you can stop people from getting killed. But all you do is show up late. All you really do is find the bodies." Cora looked each of them in the eye, her criticism clearly showing. She turned and walked away from them, leaving them in a stunned silence.

Scott glanced at them all, his features slightly defeated. He was trying, he knew they were all trying. They didn't want to only find the bodies.

"She's definitely a Hale." Stiles attempted to lighten the mood. Lydia rubbed the back of her neck in stress, exhaustion, and most likely awkwardness.

Stiles slightly nodded to himself, "I'll make sure she gets home." He pushed himself between them and followed in the direction Cora just left in.

Adrianna looked down to the ground, her mind running in circles. She knew Cora was right. They weren't helping, they were just running around like headless kids and showing up just in time to find the body. And the thing was, they were really trying, and they were failing. She let out an exhausted breath, "She's right, you know?"

Scott and Lydia looked at her, their eyebrows pulling together.

"We're doing the best we can." Scott assured.

Adrianna nodded and looked up to him, "Our best isn't good enough." She pushed herself off the wall and walked out of the locker room, pushing down the guilt she could feel radiating off Scott and Lydia.
It was harsh but maybe that's what they needed. They needed to find the Darach and they needed to rid this town of the alphas.

As Adrianna turned the corner to the front entrance, her phone starting to vibrate. She glanced at the caller ID before answering quickly. "Tell me something good."

"We found something. Possibly an idea to help us on who will be sacrificed next. Can you come to the apartment?" Allison explained.

Adrianna filled with slight hope, "I'll be there in 10."

---

"Allison?"

"In here."

Adrianna slipped through the slightly open door to the study, stopping when her eyes landed on Isaac leaning against the front of the desk. Her cheeks blushed a light pink and she averted her eyes from his gaze. They hadn't talked since they kissed, not on purpose, they just hadn't got around to it. It all confused her anyways, her feelings. She wouldn't even know what to say.
She raised her eyebrows at Allison, "What did you find?"

Allison gestured for her to come around the other side of the desk and picked up the UV light. "We were trying to figure out the pattern, there always is one. And my dads map shows that there are 5 more bodies to be found, but not who they are. Then Isaac found something." She turned on the UV light and shone it over the wooden desk where a five-note Celtic symbol was carved. The light revealed writing in the circles, Chris' handwriting.

In the left circle, the word virgins appeared.
In the top circle, warriors.
In the right circle, healers.
In the bottom circle, philosophers.
And in the middle, guardians.

Adrianna's mouth parted, her eyes staring at the words. "You found the pattern."

Allison nodded, "We know virgins was the first set of sacrifices. And warriors would be Mr. Harris and Kyle and Deaton was a healer, although his sacrifice failed." Allisons paused, looking to Isaac as a thought raced through her mind. "Guardians could mean law enforcement." Her eyes widened ever so slightly and she snatched her phone from the desk. "I have to call Stiles."
