The alarm blared and echoed through the loft, acting as if it were helpful in actually alarming them. It was knocked off the wall and crashed to the ground before it could even finish it's obnoxious call.
"Where is he?" Kali demanded, her eyes staring holes into Lydia, Adrianna and Ethan who stood opposed on the opposite side of the room.
Lydia clicked her fingers in fake triumph, "I think he said he was heading out to do some shopping, run a few errands, the usual--" Lydia cleared her throat in nerves as the confidence she momentarily had slipped. "werewolf afternoon."
Kali didn't look amused, not one bit. "Who do you think you're talking to?"
Lydia crossed her arms over her chest and stood her ground. "Someone in desperate need of a pedicure. I'd be happy to give you a referral."
Kali growled at the strawberry-blond, her patience wearing thin. She was met with a louder growl, a growl of warning from behind her. She rolled her eyes and turned around to face Aiden, "Oh really?"
Aiden growled some more, his way of protecting Lydia.
"Did someone take their little assignment too seriously?" Kali started to circle the wolf, her words dancing with hate.
Aiden let out an angered sigh, "She's not the problem."
"Maybe the problem is where your loyalties lie." Kali pushed.
"Oh god. Is this about to get really violent?" Lydia whispered, her eyes widening ever so slightly.
Adrianna took in a deep breath, "Probably."
The glass ceiling that covered the centre of the lofts roof suddenly smashed, a person jumping through and landing on the ground in perfect structure. Lydia screamed and pushed Ethan to the ground, finding comfort in his arms.
Jennifer Blake flicked her hair back and stood up, her back to them and her eyes on Aiden and Kali. She reeked of power and superiority.
"So, who wants to go first?"Kali was instantly transformed and launched herself at Jennifer. She kicked and clawed and missed every single attack she threw at the darach, her anger guiding her fighting and causing her to be blinded.
Jennifer slammed her hand against Kali's chest and flipped her through the air until she landed on the floor with a light thump.
Aiden was next, but just as easily defeated.Ethan stood up from Lydia, ripping his jacket off and marching towards his twin. He wouldn't let Jennifer win, no matter what side he was on.
They joined arms and started to transform into the massive wolf.Jennifer smirked and walked over to them, she had the upper hand, she had the power and soon she would have more when she sacrificed their parents. She grabbed the twins necks and ripped their heads apart. They yelled, screeched, as their skin tore. She threw them back into a wall.
Lydia scrambled up from her position on the floor, her body alarmed and her eyes wide at how easily Jennifer took the twins down. Adrianna instantly grabbed her, pushing her back. "Stay behind me."
Kali growled again, getting up from the floor and ready to have another go. She and Jennifer pranced towards each other, like lions fighting over a female. Kali did a front aerial in attempt to hit, or scratch, Jennifer in the face. Jennifer easily dodged it, a wide smirk spreading across her lips. She was almost giddy at her triumph in this fight.
They stopped, their eyes staring holes into each other. Kali's chest was rising and falling rapidly but Jennifer efforts barely visible.
Jennifers smirk fell. "That's right Kali. Look at me. Look at my face. Do you know what it takes to be able to look like this? To be able to look normal?" Jennifer preached.
"I don't care." Kali didn't sound as confident as she perhaps made out to be.
"It takes power. Power like this." The ground started to rumble, the floorboards shaking. The glass shards that had fallen to the ground when Jennifer had jumped through the ceiling started to move and rise with Jennifers arm, at her will. They rose all around Jennifer. The smirk returned as she watched Kali quiver slightly, as she watched her witness her raw power.
Lydia gripped Adrianna's hand, her whole body shaking in fear. This woman that used to be their teacher could kill them without a batter of her eyelashes.
Adrianna moved her head up, her eyes focusing on the sky through the hole in the ceiling. A storm was brewing, one that was loud and took it's rage out on everything around it. And she was fairly certain Jennifer was powering it.
"I . . . ." Kali began, knowing her death was imminent, that she was a powerful alpha but she can't change her past and she can't change her future, not now. "I should've . . . ." She made a mistake, she blindly followed orders and she nearly killed Jennifer but back then, her heart ached for her friend and she left her bleeding in the middle of no where. The shards of glass stopped rising and turned to face her at Jennifers command. She should have killed her when she had the chance. "I should've ripped your head off!!" Kali screamed.
Jennifer reciprocated the scream and launched the glass into Kali.
Kali's body stilled, her eyes going wide and glossy. Her breaths became shallow and barely existant. The glass had penetrated every part of her body, her viens and arteries. The light dimmed behind her eyes, the anger diminished and she fell. Another at Jennifers mercy.
Lydia's eyes were wide and purely focused on the fallen body of the she-wolf.
Jennifer slowly turned around to face them, a slight smirk still playing on her lips. Her eyes flickered to Adrianna then to Lydia.
Lydia's eyes went wide as they travelled to something behind Jennifer. The twins had gotten back up and transformed themselves into the massive wolf they held most power at. They growled at Jennifer, in warning and protection of Lydia and Adrianna.
Jennifer cocked her head ever so slightly as they marched towards her. In one quick, swift movement, she spun them around and broke their neck with one arm.
Lydia's breaths had become too fast, her panic slowly rising. She just took out half the alpha pack and hadn't one scratch or bruise on her. Had she already sacrificed their parents? How did she have so much power?
"What's the line Coach likes to say? The bigger they are . . . ." Jennifer lips lifted into a smirk.
Adriana gripped Lydias hand harder and pushed her back more. "You got what you want. Their--" Adrianna's eyes wandered down to the dead twins at her feet. She was astounded that this woman could do that and it scared her. Not because of the power, but of how she has it.
"That's not all I want." Jennifer smirked.
"Well we don't always get everything we want." Adrianna teleported behind Jennifer and kicked the back of her knees in. She slammed the front of her face on her knee. She punched her face once more then her stomach, sending her stumbling back a few paces.
Jennifer grabbed her fist on the next incoming blow and twisted her arm back, causing Adrianna to yell. She kicked her forwards and sent her to the ground. She attempted to slam her wedged heel down on Adrianna's face but she caught it.
Adrianna grinded her teeth together, wishing she had werewolf strength right now as Jennifer unloaded her weight onto her foot.
She somehow managed to push Jennifer off her and forced her back. She jumped to her feet, her eyes wandering up to the storm brewing above them. It rumbled and raged on, the cloud rolling over each other violently. It seemed to be getting worse. She blocked a blow with her forearm from Jennifer. Jennifer smirked and tensed up. She slammed her hand against Adrianna's chest.Adrianna felt like all the air had left her lungs, like her heart was being crushed. She flew threw the air so fast that the wind hurt as she passed. Glass shattered around her, cutting and tearing her skin. And she was falling, with speed but less force until she hit the hard pavement below.
