Adrianna threw her keys against the bench, letting out a long sigh from the day. The storm was still rumbling outside, rain pelting against the windows as night had set in. Allison had already known some of the information of the day, thanks to Lydia. And now they had some leads on who was committing the sacrifices, although it really didn't help them figure out who actually was the darach.
And then there's Deucalion. She couldn't stop thinking about what he said to her, what was Scotts potential, how did she know Derek and why did Deucalion seem to think she did.Another sigh left her lips as she fell down against the sofa, listening in on the calming sounds of the storm. Why the hell did she stay in this town?
She sat upright, her hands holding her stomach where the stab wound she received earlier had appeared. It had to have been Derek, because it would have killed Allison and Derek seems to be the only other person in this town she is connected to. Somehow. But why was he stabbed? And by who?
Adrianna got to her feet, grabbing her keys off the counter once more. She was sick of this mystery with Derek, she needs answers, even if that meant a little beating around to get them.
---
Adrianna practically flew up the old metal steps towards Dereks loft. She had no idea how she knew where he lived, her mind sort of took over and simply lead her here.
She got to the last step in time for the large door to be yanked open, tension and anger and confusion rolling out from the loft as Isaac stormed out towards the stairs, and her.
They both stopped when their eyes met, frowns creasing both their foreheads. He sighed, shaking his head and moving past her to continue his way out.
Adrianna watched him leave the loft, a bag in his hand and an almost sad feeling trailing behind. She looked up to the open loft door, she didn't know Isaac lived with Derek, or used to apparently. She walked up to the door, leaning in the doorway.
Derek was leaning against the table at the end of the room, a heavy weight settled upon his shoulders.
"Is this a bad time?"
His head raised to look at her, his frown deepening but the familiar bond surging to life. He knew something. "What are you doing here?"
Adrianna shrugged, "I think you know."
Derek shook his head and crossed his arms over his chest. Great, he was playing the dumb card.
"I know I know you, and I don't know how I do, or how everyone else around me seems to know that. But I need answers because I hate being kept in the dark."
Derek looked down, realisation seeming to cross him mind. "You don't remember?"
Adrianna frowned, pushing herself off the doorway and starting to descend down the few steps into the loft. "Remember what?
"I thought you-It's just," He paused, taking in a long breath as he tried to collect his thoughts.
Adrianna turned to a wall on her right, it was a wall that perhaps made a corridor to bedrooms or something. She didn't care, all she cared was that another familiar feeling was emitting from behind that wall. "Cora? Would you care to fill me in on what i don't remember?"
Derek frowned, looking to the wall. There was a momentary silence before Cora stepped into the moonlight that was casting a white glow on the room.
Adrianna raised her eyebrows, looking between the siblings. "Look, I don't know what I'm supposed to remember but ever since I met you, I have this feeling-i don't know. It's just-" She took in a deep breath, she had to explain her power to him in order for them to understand and it was going to burn her to say it. "I have a power, which sounds crazy I know, but it's like advanced empathy. My body makes connections to people that mean something to me, something significant. And for some strange, unexplainable reason, my body has made a connection to you." Her eyes met Dereks', "But I don't know you and it's frustrating the hell out of me."
Derek sighed, his muscles tightening but his features softening. He didn't understand how she didn't remember him, when she meant so much to him. He looked to Cora, seeing the same pain in his sisters eyes. Cora gave a reassuring nod to him, he had to tell her, he couldn't pretend he didn't know her for any longer.
"It's because you do know me, my entire family."
Adrianna's lips formed a tight line, her anger bubbling. She wanted him to stop beating around the damn bush and just tell him. "How? When?"
"You're supernatural, unlike anyone else in the entire Argent family. Your parents, they were different to Chris and the others, they didn't want to kill innocent supernaturals. They were close with my family, they wanted peace just like our mother, Talia, did. And when you were born, you started being able to do things, supernatural things. You grew up with us, like you were one of us, because your parents didn't want you shunned by the Argents but they refused to follow their code, to kill you because of something you had no control over. When our house burnt down, we couldn't find you, we thought you died with the rest of our family. Until I saw you last week at the highschool, i thought i was seeing a ghost, but then again at the animal clinic. I couldn't explain it, i still can't." Derek explained, carefully and almost painfully.
Adrianna's head dropped, her eyebrows drawn together as he mind tried to work through everything. She couldn't believe it, she didn't. If she was so close to them, she would've of remembered, it's too significant. But she had the dream about the burning house.
Cora stepped closer to her, her face full of sympathy. "Adrianna, you're practically our sister with how close we used to be. I still view you as mine."
Adrianna stumbled back, she felt like her throat was closing up on her. "No, no. I would've-This is impossible. You can't just forget something like that." A sharp pain suddenly infiltrated her skin at the back of her neck, burning. She felt blood slid down her skin as her eyes went wide. She gasped for air, falling to her knees.
Peter pushed his claws in further, "Now that was taking way too long."
