Before I knew it, the days had flown by and it was already Thursday. With the help of my aunt and Lauren I was able to finish packing and get all my paper work in order for this new life. Liam had sounded very sweet and gentlemen like on the phone, I was actually excited to start this project of mine. I couldn't wait to finally start something and call it my own original work. Despite the numerous times I reminded myself of all the positives of this trip, one thought kept clouding my mind: leaving my family behind.

Aunt Ro and Adam were the only two left in my family. I didn't want to leave them behind, but this was my chance of a lifetime. I couldn't refuse it. A couple years ago, before my mom had died, I remember telling her how badly I wanted to become one of the world's best writers. She had given me one of her genuine smiles and put her hand on my shoulder, giving it a squeeze. "Aubrey, one day you're going to make it big no matter what it is. I'll be right by your side." she had sweetly said. Tears started to brim my eyes as the memory replayed in my head.

"Aubs, are you crying?" Lauren asked me as she ran up to me with my aunt and Adam following directly behind her. My flight was leaving fairly soon and we decided to head to the airport soon just in case. The airport was full of people going bavk and forth from terminal to terminal. It was nice seeing so many travelers going to and from all parts of the world. I brought my hands to my eyes and wiped the small droplets that were threatening to fall from my eyes as I noticed three familiar figures walking towards where I was standing.

"No I'm fine. Just some stuff in my eye." I quickly covered up. But of course Lauren wasn't buying it since she had her arms folded across her chest while eyeing me suspiciously.

"Bullshit." she said, still in the same stance.

"It's nothing to worry about. I'm fine." I lied and walked around her to my aunt. Talking about the deaths of my parents was a really touchy subject for me. Whenever I started to talk about them or remember, I felt like I just couldn't continue on since that part of my life has been ripped away from me. I liked to stay closed off and keep to myself in order to avoid the painful feeling.

"I'm gonna miss you tons sissy." Adam said as he tightly hugged me.

"Not nearly as much as I'll miss you Adam. Please stay good, please." I begged. Adam tends to get out of hand sometimes and becomes very stubborn. And some occasions he wouldn't even budge with me, and he usually cracks with me.

"Hmm I'll try. Only if you bring me back a David Beckham jersey." he bargained. I couldn't help but chuckle at how sly he was. I was bringing him something back either way, but I definitely wasn't expecting this.

"Of course."I smiled before I ruffled up his hair. Aunt Ro was standing right beside him before she pulled me into a right hug.

"Knock 'em dead Aubrey." she whispered into my ear.

"I'll try my best." I stifled a laugh.

"Promise we'll talk everyday?" my aunt asked as I pulled away.

"I'll try my best. Who knows what chaos I'll face?" I joked. I actually wasn't entirely sure of what to expect when I got to London. Hopefully it would be a nice transition from New York.

"Just be safe, okay?" my aunt said, concerned.

"Don't worry, I'll be fine. Trust me." I said reassuringly.

"My turn!" Lauren yelled as she pulled me into a gigantic hug. "I'm going to miss you tons." she said in almost a sniffle ton.

"Hey, please don't cry. I'll be back for visits. I promise." I soothingly said.

"I know but who am I gonna pick on or nag on and on about to?" she joked. Lauren and I literally did everything together along with telling each other everything. It was definitely not going to be the same without her usual bubbly self around me. We were like two peas in a pod, we completed each other as cliché as that sounds.
