  Aubrey's P.O.V.

I stood there in Niall's arms, our lips attached as my heartbeat quickened and raced. As his soft pink lips hit mine, it felt heightened, and millions of times better than any kiss I've ever had. It felt as if I was getting a thousand little kisses all over my body. Butterflies swarmed my stomach as my hands slowly wound up to his tuft of hair. My fingers padded through each and every single lock, allowing me to feel the soft texture of his golden hair. Niall and I's proximity sparked the rush that was pulsing through me even more. Just being this close to him and inhaling his scent increased my want to stay like this forever. Despite my desires and needs, I knew there was absolutely no way that could ever happen. All of this was completely wrong, on so many levels. What we were doing shouldn't be happening, but Niall's lips instantly became a drug to me; I never wanted to let go.

Niall's hands soon left my back and traveled farther down to just above my waist. His hands began vigoriously fiddling with the hem of my shirt. If my mind wasn't already in a frenzy, it surely was now. The touch of his skin against mine felt like smooth silk on a breezy day. "Mmm...," Niall hummed through the kiss as his fingers gently tapped against my sides.

Soon, his hands were traveling farther up my body, and I couldn't help but freeze my lips and untangle my hands from his hair.

"Niall, stop," I attempted to say as I inched myself away from him. Niall seemed to ignore me as he lessened the distance between us and started to lean in again. One of us had to stop, because clearly, if we didn't a whole lot more than kissing was going to be done. Bringing my hands up, I took a hold of Niall's face. Alcohol filled my nostrils as he breathed out a puff of air in my face. He was grinning like a mad man, and this only confirmed my suspsicions that he was beyond drunk. Great.

"Hi," he giggled in my face. Niall's eyes were dialated and completely bloodshot. There were still some bruises present from the bar fight he was in a few weeks ago. Other than that, I couldn't help but admire the little freckles speckled across his face and how his pale complexion stood out against his red cheeks. Niall let put a other breath causing me to inhale a strong whif of whatever alcoholic drinks he had downed tonight.

Now, the only thing running through my mind was the fact that he wouldn't remember this. Bittersweet was how I was feeling. I wanted Niall to remember this amazing kiss we shared, but at the same time I didn't because that would only lead to even more complications.

"We have to go back upstairs with the others. Come on, I'll help you back up," I said as I wrapped his arm around my shoulder. Again, with Niall's close proximity, my stomach was erupting with butterflies again even though this was nothing but a friendly gesture.

"But Aubrey, I wanna keep kissin' ya," Niall giggled as he turned his head to look at me. The look he was giving me made me want to stop and just kiss him for hours, here in the staircase, but that would be disastrous.

"You just need to sleep this off, Niall. I'll tuck you into bed," I said as we continued our journey up the numerous stairs that led to his apartment. It was almost two in morning, so I was hoping that the party would have died down a little bit. I didn't want to attract anymore attention on me or Niall, or both of us being together. Tonight had gone the complete opposite way of what I expected.

"Don't leave me, I wanna spend my bi'rt day with ya, t'at ot'r gurl meant nuthin' t' me. Jus' sum slut," he slurred as he stumbled to reach the last stair. As soon as his words register in my mind, I became even more confused than I already was. Yes, I will admit I had a crush on Niall, but there was no way it would go any farther than a crush. He still had feelings for Grace, which of course wasn't helping my case.
