***Arush's P.O.V***
If you had to choose between saving a bank from getting robbed, and the Titanic from sinking, which would you choose??
Obviously Titanic right? But why??
If you'd say 'thousands of innocent lives were lost thanks to the ice-berg that hit the Titanic when Kate Winslet and Leonardo DiCaprio were busy shacking it up in the vintage car' then I'd say 'Bam error and you can get on the Titanic too!!'
Who would look at Kate Winslet {even though she looks like a perfect damsel} when there's the heart of the ocean at sight?
{Heart of the ocean - the blue diamond necklace}
Yeah Kate Winslet is the heart of many of us... but I'm talking money my friend - money is everything.
Love....lust....women... that's where people fail.
Why waste time on women when you can utilize the same time to earn some money? Work to earn - money is the only thing that stays with you at the end of the day. Right?
Who says money can't buy happiness? Have you ever seen a rich person cry? And as the old saying goes - it's better to cry inside an Audi than on a bicycle!
Plus, money can buy anything we want - even happiness! Money can even buy pleasure! *wink*
Yes I'm a money minded guy so screw me! At least I will have enough money to secure my future.
What future you ask? A future where I'm sitting peacefully on the garden of my own villa, somewhere on a valley over-looking a river, breathing the fresh cool air.
This is me - Arush Sharma for you in a nutshell.
I am a workaholic, and have time only for my family and my two asshole friends - Raj and Kabir.
"Bhai.... can you help me please?" came in the sweet voice of my molu... my baby sister Ahana.
She's 22 years old but she'll always be my baby - no matter how old she gets, she's my baby.
"Can it wait for two minutes Ahana?" I asked, not looking at her. Okay that was not meant to be a contrary to what I told earlier that I have time for my family!
I have an important meeting in like a couple of minutes and this meeting will earn me a nice 70 grand!
"No bhai it's urgent" she said, her voice cracking at the end.
Okay she is a bubbly lively chatterbox usually, and hardly ever cries....her voice cracking - not a good sign! Well, it's not a good sign for whoever made her cry because I'm gonna punch that person on their nose!
70 grand is nothing compared to my sister!
"Okay betu wait" I said, saving the presentation I was currently working on and turned to my sister, who had perched herself next to the sofa I was working on.
"Ab batao, kya hua?" I asked, caressing her head. Her eyes were glassy... I can't see her like this!
"Bhai...woh...woh...APRIL FOOL" Ahana shouted in my ears, tearing my eardrums.
All I can hear now is the reverberating sound of her last words april fool and now, the cackle of Kabir's voice mingling with that of my baby...wait scratch that..my demonic sister.
"Asshole was that you're idea?" I asked, glaring at Kabir, my ears still ringing.
"Language bhai" Ahana said in between her laughter.
"You...get here" I shouted, running towards Ahana, who pushed me onto Kabir so that I and he kinda...embraced. Giving us one last glance, a laughing Ahana ran away.
"Bloody hell bro control yourself, I know I'm irresistible" Kabir said, winking at me.
"Get off of me asshole" I mumbled, pushing Kabir out of the way.
"Says the one who came-on to me" Kabir said, smirking.
"Hello bitches" Raj said, walking into my room like he owns it.
"How many times do I have to tell you that we're not your bitches?" Kabir said, annoyed.
"And how many times do I have to tell you that it is just a form of greeting?" Raj said, sounding equally annoyed.
"Okay guys I'm gonna tell this to you as politely as possible - fuck off" I said, vexed, settling back to my previous position - on my work sofa, in front of my laptop.
"That was polite?" Kabir asked, raising his eyebrow.
"Yup... If I wanted to be rude, then I'd have told you guys to go shag off somewhere else" I said, smirking.
Both of them chuckled, before walking to me and smirking at me.
"What?" I asked, surprised at not receiving any comeback for my statement.
"This" Kabir said, as Raj threw my laptop on my bed and Kabir threw a bucket of ice-cold water on me.
"I got it" came Ahana's muffled voice - muffled because she was cupping her mouth to muffle her laughter!
I looked around to find Ahana, mom and dad standing at the threshold of my room, laughing like there's no tomorrow. Ahana was shooting all this on her phone!
"Nice way of saying thanks for buying you that phone!" I said sarcastically, while running off to the bathroom to change - it's already cool thanks to the AC, and now this ice cold water?
"I lost 70 grand thanks to you guys" I yelled from the bathroom, while changing into a dry pair of clothes.
"We'll refurbish for the sofa bro, don't worry...but I think it's water resistant this sofa.." Kabir mumbled.
"Not that...I was dealing with an important client and well, I lost the deal thanks to you guys" I said sarcastically, walking out of the bathroom.
"Life is not only money and work beta...live life a little, else one day you'll realize that you have all the comforts in the world, but you have no energy to live life like it's meant to be lived....waste time, roam around, have fun with your friends....don't just work!" dad said, looking concerned.
"Dad, you know me... I will live my life... I will first work hard and save enough so that I can live carefree at that time" I said, smiling.
Dad and mom didn't say anything else - as usual, though I saw a look of concern on their faces.
Work now, live later - I have all the time in the world to live, but I have a very limited time to earn money and become rich!
That's my plan anyways!
"While you guys were planning on this effing prank, I earned 20 grand...how much did you guys earn?" I asked, smirking at my two best friends.
"Well, we filmed this amazing video in which THE Arush Sharma got drenched in ice cold water, giving us priceless expression. So whatever we earned is priceless buddy" Kabir said, smirking victoriously.
Priceless my ass!
