As it always seemed to happen, just when the Avengers would think they have a break they'd be wrong... And that is exactly what happened not long after the party.

Mostly everyone had a few drinks but they're adults (and superheroes) who can handle their liquor, except Peter and his friends who for obvious reasons weren't allowed to drink, though Peter didn't mind. Tony and the others weren't a fan of the idea but let Peter bring Wade and his other friends, only. ONLY! Because they were pretty sure he'd be the only teen there...

Captain America and The Winter Soldier had managed to get each other to be a little more... normal, throughout the night. Steve had forced James to hang out during the party which... he ended up feeling somewhat bad for, the whole night the poor ex-assassin had gotten dirty looks and hurtful whispers tossed his way. Though Bucky had gotten his best friend to drink, which mind you is one of the most impossible tasks ever.

By the end of it all, though they were all sitting down and talking, any past anger or resentfulness between anyone had mostly faded. At least for tonight... Tony actually treated Buck like he wasn't a Hydra agent (which he isn't but it surprised everyone and they non-stop teased him about it for a half an hour about it). There was no heat or awkwardness of any sorts between any of the couples. And Peter?...

For the first time in a while he really felt like this was his home, Peter had been here for a couple of months now and everything had changed. He had become close with Tony and looked up to him as a father figure. Of course things with Steve got a lot better too, usually Tony was busy working on things up in the lab which left Peter to train with Steve. Bruce was his doctor and obviously helped him with certain things, school projects to well, anything else you could think of. Clint had become the crazy fun uncle that Peter could just never get enough of, Clint always took Peter out to do reckless stuff. Then... they'd both get yelled at by Stark and Rogers. And Natasha?... She was the one person Peter felt like he could always go to in a time of need, like he never had to hide anything from her (though he still did half the time). Thor?... Was just kind of there. But he was almost always in a bright mood (unless there was word of his brother doing something stupid or they were out of pop-tarts...)

Everything was falling into place... everything... felt... okay.

A high pitched ringing noise caught everyone off guard, some covered their ears and others looked around for where the sound had come from. MJ actually dropped her cup which caused Gwen to jump but they both just looked confused, as did Harry, Wade, and well... everyone else in the room.

Stark began checking to see what the hell in the tower had made the noise. They all slowly looked over as an odd, robotic figure came into view, mumbling something no one could understand. It was mangled and dismantled in parts, leaking an oil or something of that sorts onto the floor as it centered itself. An Iron Legion bot?...

"No... How could you be worthy? You're all killers." It said as it turned around and waved its half-arm a bit. Peter naturally stepped past his three friends and Wade, it had become normal to step up when any sort of possible threat reared its ugly face.

"Stark?" Steve said, his tone was questioning and low.

"Jarvis," Tony said, hoping this was a small malfunction of sorts or something.

"I'm sorry I was asleep, or I was a dream?..." the robot continued, mostly everyone had stood up by now and were sharing concerned glances with one another.

"What the hell is going on Peter?..." MJ whispered, the robot looked over to them, watching as Peter protectively pushed her gently right behind him, then back towards the others and Stark as he started talking again.
