"CAP- HEY-" Tony tapped Steve's cheeks and pushed him a bit, "Damn it Rogers get the hell up we don't have time for this!" Tony coughed as some smoke found it's way to his lungs. The side of Tony's room that faced towards the living room was completely blown out and on fire.

Barton had already made his way to the roof to see what the hell was going on outside and Romanoff was trying to keep Banner safe, if he didn't have to go code green then he should be kept out of the crossfire. Thor was nowhere to be seen in the whole mess. "Jarvis- you online buddy?" There was no answer.

Stark knew he needed to get to a suit as soon as possible- Steve was still out cold though. 'Damn it!' Tony paused as he started making out some sort of shadow through the smoke of the now multiple fires.

The hell?... The Green Goblin? That freak again? This guy had almost been taken out by quite a few different heroes before what happened three weeks ago. When everything went down with the Chitauri invasion he went into hiding and hadn't shown his face since.

Tony stood up protectively in front of Steve- 'where the hell is a teammate when you need them.'

"Oh hello ugly. I'm sorry do you have a REASON for blowing a hole in my tower or are you just really excited to meet the Avengers?" Tony asked with a sad grin- he felt weak. His brain went a million miles an hour, trying to think of what he could do. The freak cackled as he came into view on his Goblin Glider,

"The Iron Man and Captain America... Not who I was planning to kill... But this is a rare opportunity. " He pulled out a pumpkin bomb with a twisted grin and prepared to throw it at the two. Before he had a chance he was sent flying off his glider and across the living room. The Spiderman swung in and looked at the two still in Starks now destroyed room. He was a new vigilante- popping up on the news a few days after the battle with the Chitauri he's been around ever since. There's really no information on the guy- no clue who he is, where he came from, or even his age. Though Fury guessed he was somewhere under the age of twenty.

"Y-You guys okay?" His rather childish voice seemed worried but also disturbed or off put. Tony just nodded and looked at Steve.

Spiderman immediately went at the Green Goblin while Stark stood Steve up and leaned the heavy, shirtless, super soldier on his shoulder. Tony coughed again wearily. Then proceeded to grab his phone from the bed and start trying to get out. Only moments later as Tony tried to drag Cap through the living room there it was, rolling into his eyesight. A pumpkin bomb. His eyes widened, 'Shit-...' He thought. He was frantically trying to think of what to do, then-

Hawkeye came swinging in and dropped his bow on the floor, Tony then realized just what he had in his hand. Captain America's shield- Hawkeye shoved the shield down over the bomb as best he could as it went off. The floor gave out and collapsed beneath him and the shield. Tony knew the master archer had taken worse falls, he continued helping the still unconscious Steve.

The mechanic dialed Nat and put the phone to his ear, as he walked by he kicked Clint's bow into the hole in the floor where he'd fallen. "STARK?- Banners safe- What- what the hell is going on up there!?" She shouted through the phone.

"Nat-" The Green Goblin was flung back across the room, right into Tony and Steve. The Goblin went straight out the hole in the wall- Tony had been knocked over but hadn't fallen luckily. It took him a moment to realize Cap wasn't with him though... He raised his head in time to see the floor to the open wall give out- Rogers with it.

"NO!" Tony yelled, pushing himself up as the Spiderman ran across the room and dove out after him the two. The glider seemed to have disappeared as well but he paid no attention.
Tony bolted to the lab instinctively and threw on a suit then went straight out the wall of the lab, inwardly asking. 'What's one more wall to fix?'

He was in perfect timing it seemed. The young web-slinger was barely holding onto Cap, his web the only thing keeping them on the building. Tony took Steve and nodded to the kid who went slinging off after The Green Goblin, Tony flew down to the street as crowds stared on and filmed curiously. Murmurs from the bystanders and sirens filling the silence.

Both Natasha and Bruce ran over, Bruce kneeling down next to Steve- "Where's Clint?" Natasha asked, her voice breaking fearfully. Bruce felt Steve for a pulse and nodded with a glad sigh as he found one.

It took Tony a moment to realize what Nat had said. He took off in seconds heading right back up and into the both burning and crumbling building, "CLINT!?" He called out, maneuvering himself through the gaping, flaming hole in the floor. And there he was- trapped under some kind of fallen rubble- his left leg stuck.

"Ya left me, man-" He winced and coughed as more smoke filled the room though he tried to smile. Tony quickly managed to get the pillar off and help him up. Barton grabbed his bow and Stark paused, noticing the Captain's shield laying there. He proceeded to gently grab it and fly them both the hell out of there.

Natasha took Clint from Tony as carefully as possible, noticing he was injured. There were
already ambulances, fire trucks, and police cars around the bottom of the Avengers tower. Captain was being put into an ambulance, Bruce staying close. Meanwhile, Natasha was engulfed by Clint's hug- "Clinton Francis Barton if you ever do something that stupid again I'm going to kill you!" she yelled, smacking his head.

"Tony, you coming with?" Bruce asked and Tony looked off to where he was sure the web-slinger had gone.

"No. Someone's gotta help the kid wrap this up. Nat- Keep the pedestrians clear of the tower. There seems to be a lot of the top few floors giving way. The less in the hospital the better." He took off without another word, wanting to go with Bruce and Steve- he was worried about Clint and Cap. The injuries they had suffered... He had to be the bigger man here.

After a minute or two of flying, Tony rounded a corner and paused. He was horrified to see Spiderman bleeding out on a roof- The Goblin threw what seemed to be a third or fourth razor bat into the kids back. He flinched but did nothing else- not a sound came from the vigilante. Tony was enraged at the freak now, he had practically blown up the top of the Avengers tower! Almost killed Barton and Rogers! And now he was torturing the kid!?

Tony flew at the creep and ended up tackling him off the glider, throwing punches and hits until the villain was out cold. Usually, this would be a good fight. The Goblin would stand a fighting chance, But fuck with Tony Stark and his friends? His family? Then you got something coming pal...

Tony realized after a moment the poor kid was still bleeding out. "Jarvis you there?" Tony asked as he headed towards Spiderman, just now noticing that Jarvis would probably be working in the suit. Tony blasted the glider into pieces as he walked by.

"Yes, sir- I was unable to be of help as the tower had a major electric cutout." Tony felt the kid for a pulse, there was one! Barely... 'No. No. No. SHIT.'

"Don't worry you're going to be just fine, I promise kid just... hold on. Jarvis let Fury know where the Goblin is and have him picked up by SHIELD asap." Tony picked up the limp body- he wasn't sure how this vigilante had stayed awake for so long while that dirtbag played darts with his back.

"Yes, sir." Was all Jarvis answered as Stark took off- he was so afraid of what would happen to everyone... There was too much on his plate. It shouldn't have come as a surprise that something like this would happen...

If only his life wasn't such a wreck, maybe the next week wouldn't be as screwy as the last few. Sadly it was, maybe a small bit worse.
