Tony, much like the two ex-assassins, raced down the stairs to the living room. Only to see Clint grab what appeared to be none other than the witch and flip her onto the floor harshly, getting pushed back by a very agitated looking speedster.

"What the hell are you two doing here??" Steve growled, moving to stand protectively in front of Peter, the masked vigilante had guns out and ready to put a round through both of them.

"Wait- please-" Wanda pleaded as her brother helped her up, "You were right..." She looked to Tony specifically, both sharing a look that he understood all too well.

"Everyone... weapons down..." He said quietly, earning a scoff from Wade who took a step forward, even with the mask on his anger was clearly heard

"That bitch is the reason that Peter is in this condition, that your heads are all fucky, why Dr. Banner is the way he is!" Everyone, of course, gave a glance to Bruce who looked away a bit.

"Watch what you call my sister..." Pietro sped in front of Wade who set the gun to the silver-haired boy's heart.

"Test me Road Runner... Are you faster than the bullet? Cuz I'm open to testing that theory..." Killing somebody was nothing new to the mercenary, and for Peter, he'd do anything.

"While I don't think killing them is our smartest option I wouldn't mind going another round with the little shits... let me get a few good hits in Tony." Barton said and Romanoff looked between everyone unsurely, feeling the intensity of the room only grow and grow.

"ALRIGHT. Enough." Steve, to no one's surprise, took Tony's side. "Look at them, really look at them... They look just as scared as anyone else here... They wouldn't be here if not..." He said and Wade ever so slowly lowered his weapon, now processing that killing someone possibly good wouldn't make a great impression of his secret life on Petey's parents.

Pietro was with his sister again in seconds, murmuring a very quiet, "You were right... okay?..." to the group.

"He's bad news." His twin agreed, grasping her brother's hand tightly. "We..."

Tony stepped over, looking at them each, finishing with a quiet "Didn't have anywhere else to go, no one else to trust..." knowingly. Each of the Avengers shared unsure looks, some questioning if they were trustworthy or if this was one of Tony's many soft spots speaking, his child-loving orphan self over-caring.

"He has the cradle... he's making a body for himself, with the vibranium- Cho was there, I- He wants to kill anyone 'weak'... not just you..." Wanda looked to them quietly, unsurely really.

"And we can doubt that he'll be easy with his standards of judging." Romanoff sighed, shaking her head. Bruce, out of the entire group, felt the worst- he'd chosen to help Tony and not tell the others. He let the witch get to him and he'd hurt people... he'd hurt Peter. It felt as though the more time passed the worse off he was, and it was his fault. He couldn't put the blame on anyone else... The worst part though? It had to be that he was completely alone in this situation... he had no relationship, no loving companion to comfort him.

It wasn't like his teammates listened to him...

"We need to get out there then," Tony said firmly and yea, he'd called for another suit (obviously) but it didn't mean he couldn't use the parts from his last one for some upgrades. Everyone got ready as quick as ever, though upon going to leave, Steve stopped Clint.

"Somebody has to be here to watch Peter, I don't trust that masked, trigger happy vigilante... And I really don't trust those two." The blonde whispered to the master archer quietly, causing him to give an almost whiny sigh. He hated being forced to sit a fight out...
