Jimin didn't know how to feel when he noticed the extreme comfort between Jungkook and Seulgi the next Monday. Of course, they had always been close, but he didn't realise there was a tension lying between them until it was gone. She'd went out with him on the week ends, like usual, but there was something different. And he sensed he didn't know the whole story when he saw the subtle scowl on Taehyung's face.
"Am I missing something here?" Asked Namjoon from the ground between Jimin and Hoseok, as usual. He had also noticed the weird comfort that radiated from the two. Jungkook's arm was draped across Seulgi's shoulders as her arm wrapped his waist.
"I don't know, are you hyung?" Jungkook asked, a bunny smile popping onto his face.
"Jungkook and Seulgi are together." The silver haired said, mocking an upset tone with a playful pout. But Jimin could feel that he wasn't entirely okay with it.
Oh wait.
He realised what Taehyung had just said.
"You guys are together?" He blurted, unable to hide the shock from his voice; he managed to keep most of the disappointment away however.
"Yeah." Seulgi sighed with a soft smile and leaned into his chest. Finally, she had someone she could confide to, someone to talk to.
"Ew, you guys are getting gross even Jin hyung and I aren't like this." The peach haired boy rolled his eyes but laughed, his dimples denting in. "Let's go to class I can't stand the cuteness."
The couple chuckled and part from each other, but held hands as they entered the building. Jimin walked in behind the with Taehyung next to him, both of them staring at the backs of their room mates.
"Hey, I know you don't like me but listen." Taehyung broke the silence, shocking Jimin out of his thoughts. "I don't know why, but I don't like seeing Jungkook with Seulgi. I have an idea." He narrowed his eyes, trying to see through the two in front of them, hoping to see something other than affection.
"Probably 'cause you're jealous your minion is gone." The blond huffed but was interested in this idea of Taehyung.
"My minion?" He asked annoyed, a frown etching on his expression.
"Yeah. But what's your idea?"
"I don't think you'll like it." Taehyung shot back, his voice softer and wary.
"Please don't say we're supposed to act all lovey dovey to make them jealous and split." When the boy next to him didn't reply, Jimin stopped in the middle of the hallway and turned 90 degrees, grabbing Taehyung's arm to bring him to a halt.
"Can you read my mind?" The silver looked into Jimin's eyes and tried to make it look like he was trying to read his mind, when in reality, he just wanted to look at the boy's amber flecked dark irises. He'd missed them.
"No. And stop staring at me. And I don't want to do that, she's happy." He swallowed, looking on to where the two were walking with the older boys, disappearing into the thinning crowd.
"I can see you're tense. What did you do to deserve such a sour attitude anyways?" Jimin rolled his eyes at the question and began down the hallway again towards his first class. The silver boy tagged along.
"I shut her out in a really harsh way okay? It's probably my fault. I mean everything's my fault isn't it?" He spat before pushing the wooden door to his classroom open. As the crowd thinned even further, Taehyung stood there, stunned and hurt, understanding why he was so pained when he said that.
And Taehyung knew that it was actually his fault.
His fault for Jimin hurting, his fault for Jungkook's new feelings, his fault for hurting himself. It had always been his fault.
Distracted and suddenly down, he turned on his heel and trudged towards his first lesson of the day, his steps echoing through the empty hall.

"Bye Kook." Seulgi lifted up on her tiptoes to place a quick kiss on the boys cheek before entering the dim lobby. It was late, after their dinner and both were exhausted, but content with what they have.
"Bye." He smiled as he watched her go in. When the elevator door closed and sighed as he shifted the bag of his strap on his shoulder.
"Jungkook." A deep voice sounded from behind him, making him jump, a hand flying to his chest to stop the rapid thumping.
"For fucks' sake-"
"Watch your language." Jungkook turned to face a familiar silver haired boy behind him.
"You're not the boss of me." The brunet glared at him accusingly before pushing past, in the direction of his apartment. Taehyung was surprised at the sudden nerve, but recovered quickly before sticking his hands in his pockets and matching his steps beside his room mate.
"Why the sudden attitude? I've been nothing but nice-"
"Nothing but nice?" He stops in his tracks, suddenly angered. "Ever since you lost Jimin that night, you've treated me like shit! I get it, you were upset, broken, but I was there for you and you didn't even care, like you blamed losing him on me."
"You're the one who agreed to stick with me." Taehyung growled, causing the other's heartbeat to speed slightly. But not enough to scare him.
"Because I cared." Exhaustion washed over Jungkook as he spat the words at his room mate, setting of as suddenly as he stopped. Taehyung froze, hurt hitting him hard for the second time that day.
"I'm with Jimin!" He blurted loudly at the retreating back of the younger boy. Luckily for him, he stopped and turned.
"What?" There was clear surprise present in Jungkook's voice, but he didn't believe the other at all, shaking the shock away. "Prove it." He spoke firmly, the words carrying out through the emptying square.
"I-" Taehyung hesitated, unable to comprehend what emotion was underlying in the brunet's tone.
"Just what I thought. You can't. Good night Taehyung." He grumbled, barely audible for the silver one as he made his way to their apartment.
If there was one thing Taehyung didn't like, it was losing power. It was almost like losing control on everything he had.
He'd lost power over Jimin.
And he'd lost power over Jungkook.
Taehyung's lip twitched with annoyance and mischievousness. His hands clenched into tight fists, red bubbling throughout his blood.
Prove it. Jungkook said.
So that was just what he was going to do.
