When Seulgi opened the apartment door that night, she'd expected a light peeking from under Jimin's room door, silence and darkness just like every other night she had returned to.

But not that night.

"Seulgi." The girl jumped out of her skin, a cuss popping out somewhere between the time she dropped her bag and brought her hand to her heart to slow the racing.

"Holy shit. Jimin. What the fuck." She glared at him, not that he could see. All the lights were off, the only thing illuminating the room was the moonlight from the windows.

"Sorry, didn't mean to scare you." He scratched the back of his neck shamefully as he hopped off his seat at the kitchen counter. He made his way to his room mate in his sweats and tight t-shirt. "Question."

"What," Seulgi looked up from where she had just picked her bag up from, slipping her trainers off. "What could be so important that you had to scare me out of my goddamned mind?"

"Are you really with Jungkook?" He asked wearily, his tone soft.

"No Jimin, I faked all my feelings to make you and Taehyung jealous. And Jungkook is in this too." She rolled her eyes after speaking quickly, taking brisk steps to her room, past the boy.

"What?" Genuinely confused, the blond followed her.

"I'm kidding Jimin. I'm being fucking sarcastic." She glared at him again from the doorway to her room after dropping her bag. "For heavens' sakes why are you so gullible?"

"I don't get why you're so pissed." He raised his eyebrows and crossed his arms stubbornly.

"Because it's only taken you a whole fucking month to finally talk to me." She spat angrily. "You still owe me an explanation on why every time our friendship builds, you burn and break it by pushing me when all I want to do is help." Tears of hurt began prickling at her eyes, and it was only then that Jimin really realised how he had hurt her. The shining of her irises told him that she'd been pushed away before.

"I-I'm so sorry." Jimin dropped his arms to his sides and hung his head. "You're right, I owe you a proper explanation." He looked at her, the unshed tears still glistening over her eyes. Finally, after she studied him, as if to peer into every crack to check if he was being real, she stepped aside and let him enter her room.

They both took seats on opposite sides of the bed, Jimin in his pyjamas and Seulgi still in her dance clothes. The both crossed their legs like they would in kindergarten and sat an awkward distance away from each other.

"Well?" Seulgi swallowed, blinking away the tears she had refused to wipe away.

"Where do I start?" Jimin asked, equally as nervous.

"The very beginning."

It was already 9pm when they had started, but when they ended it was just turning 11. They had talked for awhile, Seulgi not letting Jimin miss out any of his juicy details. In the end, she knew all about how he first started dating Taehyung, how important Taehyung was to him, how painful the night h found Jungkook with him was and how the group reacted. Oh, and the problems at home.

"Oh, wow." She breathed, overwhelmed by the amount of information he had just dropped onto her.

"Sorry, it's probably a lot." He said, smiling painfully as he ran his hand through his hair.

"It's okay, I'm just glad to know everything now." She smiled at him and got up to open the door. "You should go. Thanks for telling me that, it's helped. If you need anything I'll be here for you." She watched as Jimin got off of the bed and turned to head to his room. "Just one thing."

"Hmm?" He wondered, turning back.

"Promise me that you won't push me away?"

The blond swallowed, his little game floating to the front of his mind. If he didn't push her away, he would be in dangerous terrain, the little grey place where he could fall for her. And he couldn't handle that yet.

"Promise."

The week went by swiftly, and by the time they knew it, it was Friday again. Taehyung was still spinning the gears in his mind, their clicks speeding. When he saw that Jimin and Seulgi were on good terms, he was annoyed for having to put in more effort.

"Seriously Jimin?" He accused as he caught up with the other, walking to Biology.

"What's wrong with fixing a friendship?" He said, dull and relaxed.

"Wha-" The wooden door to the Biology lab swung close, hitting his forearm painfully. "What a bitch." He mumbled to himself before pushing the door open again.

Their fingers intertwined, the two lovers walked casually through the bustling town, the wind biting a little harder now. The fall was arriving, the leaves reddening warmly.

"Look at that watch!" Jin squeezed his boyfriend's arm before dragging him into the store.

"Hyung, have you seen the prices on these things?" Namjoon swallowed nervously as he passed different items that seemed to increase in price as they went deeper into the store.

"Right." Jin sighed, his dark fringe swinging over his brows as he slumped his shoulder and brought the peach haired boy out of the store. "I miss my dad." He frowned as the two settled on a bench.

"For the money?" Namjoon asked, his tone soft, even if it was meant as a joke. Jin punched the others shoulder before leaning on it.

"Not that you dumbass. I really miss him." The older boy's mind wandered off to his childhood, when he was living a luxurious life, to his teens, when he was living a privileged life and then right after he graduated, when he lost everything he had ever known.

"I know, babe. Do you wanna go home?" Asked Namjoon, swinging his arm over the brunet's shoulders before giving them a comforting rub.

"Yeah." Jin stood and extended his slender fingers towards the boy on the bench, who took it gratefully. His mind wandered to Jimin, who also had to go through the same thing as him, losing his father to the road. He had had to live with his aunt after his mother disappeared, which led him to a hell of a life. "How do you think Jimin's holding up without Taehyung?"

"I don't know hyung." He was genuinely worried about the younger boy, wondering how he was now. "Who do you think he'll give the necklace to?"

"I'm betting on Seulgi."

"I'm on Tae." Jin nudged his harshly. "What?"

"I'm gonna win, for sure."

"Are you sure? I heard from Yoongi that she's with Jungkook." Jin stopped in his tracks as his jaw dropped.

"You're kidding."

"Nope." Namjoon giggled before dragging the other with him. "I'll win."

"Game on."
