He tried.
He tried to warn her and stop her from running. Maybe he should've kept his mouth shut and let her run. That way, she would've kept going and maybe she would've gotten to the other side of road instead of-
A cold tear slipped down his pale cheek as he crouched down beside the unconscious body. He lifted her head onto his lap and held her close to him.
"Jimin?" A voice sounded from behind him and he looked up. It was a familiar face. Minho was it?
"What?" He snapped, voice cracking. He breathed slowly and spoke again. "Sorry." He looked back down to her shattered features, the blood already drying on her cheekbone and sliding down her chin. The tears on her arms and legs, shoes thrown a distance away.
"Get help." He spoke firmly and the boy nodded before sprinting up through the side door. He was wearing a plain grey shirt so he must've been at the party.
"I'm sorry." He whispered, letting his tears flow freely. "I'm so so sorry. Please don't die." He cried, sobbing into her hair. He stopped and carefully lay her down. Setting his ear against her chest, he could feel the reassuring beat of a heart and when he brought his finger beneath her nose, he could feel a warm exhale. He sighed with relief and picked her up bridal style.
"I'm sorry." He cried softly again, placing a final kiss on her head just as a group of boys crashed from the door, being led by a frantic Minho.
The first person he saw was Yoongi. "Hyung." He stepped towards them with the girl in his arms.
Yoongi placed a hand on Minho's shoulder telling him to go home first, and the younger boy obeyed. Then he placed a hand on the blonds shoulder. "I'm so sorry." He could see by the red nose and the red eyes that he had been crying. Jimin nodded and looked past the man to see Namjoon calling the ambulance and the four other boys huddled together.
When Taehyung saw him peering over, he stepped away from the group and walked over to the boys. Jungkook followed behind him after Jin whispered something into his ear.
Yoongi smiled sympathetically and stepped back allowing Taehyung and Jungkook through.
"I'm sorry." Jungkook said softly, not looking into Jimin's eyes. But there was something he needed to do. The sirens were already wailing so he needed to be quick. "C-Can I hold her?" It sounded like a stupid thing to ask, she was, after all, literally dying. But Jimin didn't glare at him or say no. He stepped closer and let Jungkook take her.
And then Taehyung stepped forwards and wrapped his best friend in a tight hug as Jimin sobbed his broken heart out.
The brunet stepped away from the two because he couldn't handle the sound of his cries again. He and Jimin were never close because of his feelings for Taehyung, but it still hurt to hear him cry. He was a nice guy, he didn't deserve this.
Jungkook carried her to the curb and sat down with her in his arms. He stroked her tangled hair and kissed her forehead softly. Only when something dropped onto her forehead, changing a path to crusty blood from solid to liquid did he realize he was crying.
"I'm sorry." He whispered. "You don't deserve this. Please live. I need you." Only when he spoke those last three words did he realize how true they were. He needed a smiling, shining girl in his life, someone to always make him smile. There was a tap on his shoulder and when he looked up, he saw Namjoon.
"The ambulance is here." He spoke gently and Jungkook nodded, standing up effortlessly as if there was no weight in his arms. A stretcher slid out of the ambulance and he placed her on it.
"Are you a relative?" Another emergency nurse came out with a blindingly bright vest.
"No." He replied.
"A boyfriend?" Jungkook winced at her tone. It sounded as if she was teasing him.
"No." He said again.
Not anymore. II
She nodded and stepped into the ambulance and when she was safely in, the door shut behind her and the ambulance drove off, leaving the seven attractive boys standing on a desolate road.

Back at the apartment, six of them lay scattered around the living room, each one showered and in their pajamas. The place was still a little messy but none of them could be bothered to clean it up.
Jin sat on a big armchair that barely fit two people, squished next to Namjoon with his brown hair on the other man's shoulder.
Jungkook sat by Taehyung on the carpeted floor, his hand splayed out on his lap. Taehyung's slender fingers slipped over and between his in a comforting gesture.
Hoseok sat with his arm around Yoongi's shoulders as the older boy bit at his nails.
"Hyung stop biting your nails." He said gently, rubbing the blue haired boys arm up and down.
"Jimin isn't out yet." He stressed, looking back to the room corridor for the millionth time.
"He's probably still showering, don't worry." His voice was soothing, Yoongi had to admit.
