Yoongi and Hoseok were the first to knock on the front door of Jin and Namjoon's apartment that evening.
"MERRY CHRISTMAS!" Hoseok beamed happily and held up two bags hanging on his arms and two boxes in his hands. Yoongi was stood just slightly behind him with a similar set up.
"Merry Christmas." Jin laughed and held the door open so the two could drop their presents off under the large Christmas tree in the corner of the living room.
"Namjoon! Sope are here!" Jin screamed. Only seconds later a fumbling man ran from the hallway that housed the bedrooms, his newly-dyed silver hair peeking out from under a santa hat.
The four of them conversed for awhile, Jin slipping away for only a moment to bring the gingerbread men from the kitchen. Another set of knocks sounded from the door and Hoseok quickly went to get it.
Please be Seulmin, please be Seulmin-
Instead he was greeted with a grumpy looking Taehyung and a sheepish looking Jungkook.
"Uh, hi-"
"Merry Christmas." He muttered before sliding past the raven head man and into the living room.
Uh okay?
Hoseok tried again with Jungkook, but gave up when the boy muttered the same words and shoved past him.
"Come on Taehyung! You don't have to be so disrespectful!" He hissed angrily. Hoseok quickly shut the front door, making sure no one else was in the corridor.
"Well sorry I'm not in the best mood right now!" He turned abruptly, stopping right near the entrance of the kitchen, "It's not like I was bluntly insulted by someone I love, right?!" He turned again, almost crashing into Jin who was carrying his men on a tray. He muttered 'sorry hyung' before walking past him and into the kitchen.
"Taehyung, where the hell are you going?" Jungkook ran after him, "I already said sorry, what else do you want me to do!?" Taehyung burst from the kitchen, stopping Jungkook right under the arch that happily screamed 'Merry Christmas!'
"Watch your words next time! I'm so done with us fighting, but you and your fucking-"
"Hey, watch your language." One of the older men spoke from the living room.
"You and your stupid-ass, competitive attitude, always wanting to win, always making sure that you're the one who gets the last word, always makes sure that we do end up fighting, even when we're supposed to be having fun! I'm so sick of it Jeon Jungkook!"
His final words rang in everyone's ears, leaving each one of them stunned to silence at Taehyung's outburst. When they were younger, Taehyung had never raised his voice in front of the older ones, and it just showed how frustrated he really was about this.
"I-I'm-"
"Save it." Taehyung spat, pushing past him and automatically going for the safety of his guest room.
Jungkook flinched when he heard the bedroom door slam, and he shamefully turned to face the others. Jin was looking off to where Taehyung had went, almost like he was debating whether to go after him. Namjoon was shaking his head disapprovingly, as was Yoongi, and Hoseok was just staring at him.
"Jungkook." He turned to the voice. "Come." Jungkook followed and trudged towards Jin and sat by him on their sofa. He refused to look up and only stared at his hands in his lap.
"What happened?" Jin questioned, but before Jungkook could answer, knocks came at the door and Hoseok leaped from his chair, answering it almost too eagerly after what had just happened.
