The club was loud.
Too loud.
Yoongi hated sitting there, even when he was on a comfortable couch that would've been perfect to sleep in. But he couldn't sleep, because it was way too loud.
Instead of thinking about how much he hated clubs and the sweaty bodies sliding across the floor in drunken steps, he turned his thoughts towards a certain red-head who managed to drag him into this dim-lit sauna because...
Well. Because that's what love does.
Yoongi never thought he'd fall in love. At least not at this age. And he definitely didn't expect to fall in love with someone as bright as Hoseok. Of course he had his own bright days, but Hoseok was always bright.
Like the sun. The sun is always bright. The sun lights the moon up. Maybe Yoongi was the moon to Hoseok's sun.
"Hyung!" Yoongi raised his eyes from the glossy black dance floor and moved his vision up until he was met with a pair of dark eyes that seemed to shine in the dingy room. Despite his feelings about the place, Yoongi couldn't help but smile when he spotted Hoseok waving him over to an empty-ish area by the corner of the dance floor, messy haired and all. The blue haired boy stood and shoved his hands in his jean pockets and headed towards his friend.
"Did you call?" Yoongi asked, awkwardly smiling to the not-so-familiar faces that surrounded his friend.
"Guys, this is Yoongi hyung. He's my best friend." Even with the same bright tone, there was something about Hoseok that told Yoongi he was drunk. "Yoongi hyung, these are the guys."
"Hey." His lips managed to pull themselves into something like a smile before he began to turn around and head back to the comfy black sofa in the darkest part of the club.
"Hyung wait." Yoongi was halfway to the safety of his seat before he was aggressively spun around and shoved into the chest of a very strong dancer. "Oops sorry." Hoseok casually stepped back and brushed his shirt off.
Yoongi chuckled and leaned onto one leg. "Did you want to tell me something?"
"I..." Hoseok scratched the back of his neck and suddenly something told Yoongi he wasn't that drunk. "I don't know if I'm drunk."
"That's what you wanted to tell me?" The stupidity of the statement would've probably pissed Yoongi off if it was anyone except Hoseok.
"No. I don't know if I'm drunk so I don't know if you'll believe me." Hoseok stopped and dropped his hands to his sides. "Hyung everyone thinks I'm straight and I don't know what to do."
Yoongi almost choked on his non-existent drink. "Y-You're not straight?"
"What? Did I say that?" Hoseok sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose while closing his eyes. "One too many drinks Hobi. One too many."
"So... You're straight?" Yoongi asked again, desperately wanting to know if he was or not.
"Sorry. I mean I'm not that drunk I just have a headache from one too many drinks."
"Jung Hoseok are you gay or not." Yoongi said grabbing the boy by his shoulders and shoving his face right up in his. Hoseok might've been the taller one but Yoongi could seem 7 feet tall if he wanted to be.
"I-" He sighed again, seeming unfazed by the iron grip on his muscles. "I don't know. But I'm not straight. Probably bi."
"Good enough." Yoongi mumbled under his breath. But somehow, just somehow, in the midst of the blaring music and drunk chatter, Hoseok managed to catch it.
"Why did you want to know so desperately if I'm gay hyung?" Hoseok's tone had gone dangerously low and he was closer than before, the little space between them closing rapidly. Yoongi swallowed and began stepping back, only for Hoseok to roughly grab at his arm and crash him to his chest.
"H-Hoseok..." Beads of sweat began forming at the slightly shorter man's temples and he had gone straight into panic mode. Half of him wanted the younger one to stop and the other half...
Let's just say not stopping wouldn't be bad either.
"What hyung? Do you want something?" Again, the low tone Yoongi had never heard before.
"Hoseok, you're drunk, stop it." Yoongi attempted to growl it out but it came out weak and terrified- exactly how he felt.
"Not that drunk hyung. Just drunk enough to tell you that I'm not scared of you."
"What?" Yoongi shrugged Hoseok's arm off and stepped back as Hoseok tried to get over the shock of the shorter man's sudden power. "Is this what all this is about? Just to tell me you're not scared of me? To scare me?"
"Wait what?" It was more like Hoseok was talking to himself, he was looking at his hands like he wasn't himself. "What did I, when..."
Yoongi's heart sunk.
Is Hoseok really that drunk?
"Well I-"
"Save it Hoseok." Yoongi turned and stomped off, his only aim being the heavy doors that led out towards the cool night. Just as his fingers curled around the solid black knob, a familiar strong arm ripped him away from the exit and back into the swirling crowd of drunk dancers.
"What the fu-"
"Hyung." Hoseok panted, arm still firm on Yoongi's. Only then did the blue haired boy realise they were still moving, deeper and deeper into the club. they continued on until the reached the peak of the volume, the DJ, before sliding past and into a small, dark room.
It was quiet in there, the only sound was the blurry bounce of the remixed song outside and their heavy pants.
"Hoseok?" Yoongi whispered into the nothingness, wondering if the boy had disappeared out the door before shutting.
"Hyung." Hoseok whispered, his voice hoarse and dry even though he had been drinking. His hands found its way to the older man's arms and pulled him in until they were face to face. "Do you want me to switch on the lights?"
Yoongi froze and tensed with fear, but soon allowed himself to relax. "Leave the lights off."
"I'm-"
Hoseok couldn't finish his sentence. Instead he was cut off by a crash to his lips, his warm ones being enveloped in cold ones, ones that had been out of drinks and starved of warmth. He kissed back, knowing well that he would only remember part of this, but for now, the urgency and pace of the kiss would be sufficient.
Yoongi brought his palm to the boy's face and pulled him in even closer, intensifying the connection as the night wore on.
