The last day of school. It was the last day of school, the Christmas holidays were coming up and everyone was ecstatic. It had been a week since the argument between Jungkook and Taehyung, but they were still being weird. Seulgi gave them space, Taehyung turned out to be okay, just in need of a friend, but Jungkook was acting weird. She let it go, thinking he needed some time. But a week without telling her what the hell was going on was a bit much.
"Jungkook!" 7 days of just watching him leave the courtyard without so much as a look at her is what took for her scream to be loud enough that he could hear, 12 feet away. He stopped, contemplating whether or not her should turn to her. Luckily, he did. With a sigh of relief, the black haired girl jogged up to him, trying to keep the frustration out of her voice.
"Hey." Jungkook mumbled, gripping the straps of his bag tighter.
"It's been a week. You've refused to go home with my after dance, so I've been going back with Irene. You've refused to tell me what's going on. Kook, you're my boyfriend for fucks sake, why can't you talk to me?"
So much for keeping out the frustration Seulgi. Well done.
"What?" Jungkook could feel annoyance build up in his blood and he turned to the girl face on.
Seulgi swallowed nervously.
He's a lot taller when he's mad.
But she didn't give up.
"In fact, you haven't told anyone anything. Why, why can't you speak to me? Is this about Tae?" Bad move.
"Tae?" He scoffed. "No, this isn't about Tae."
"Then what is this about?" She spat back. By this time, almost half of the students were gone for the holidays, but the ones that were left were left wondering, what the hell is going on with those two?
"This," He paused. What was this about? "What is this exactly?"
"Are you serious?" She threw her hands upwards in frustration and then took a deep breath. "This is about you ignoring me for the past week, barely speaking a word to me, when I haven't done shit to you!" Seulgi lowered her voice when she saw people staring. "Why? Why are you like this?"
"Because-" He stopped, stepping back to really face what damage he had done. She was weighted, a lot heavier on her feet, her expression was pained, her dark irises glistening with unshed tears. "Because I'm me. And I'm not a good guy. Not for you." With that he spun on his heels and jogged away, his hands still tight around his straps, the friction stinging at his palms.
And the guilt stinging at his heart.
Seulgi was left in the courtyard, confused and hurt with people staring at her. The anger was gone and all that was left was sadness. A student named Yeri from her stepped up to her and placed a gentle hand on her shoulder.
"Are you okay?" She whispered, the students began to disperse once again, the drama over.
"Y-yeah." Seulgi replied, her eyes flickering shut. She fisted her hands to keep her from breaking apart, right there on the spot, but suddenly they were undone.
"Hey, thanks for taking care of her." The bright boy smiled and pulled Seulgi away from the other girl. "Have a good holiday." The raven haired peered behind her, watching the confused girl stand by herself, head cocked to one side. Seulgi didn't even know who was pulling her away, but she mouthed 'sorry' to the girl behind her anyways. When she did turn around, she almost tripped over a rock, causing confusion to collide with her upset, making her annoyed. She pulled the boy to a stop.
