"Damn, this place is even bigger when it's empty of strangers." Jimin gapes, his sports bag dumped on the floor beside him as he toed his shoes off.

"It's nice." Yoongi shrugs, slipping into the apartment. "Our new resident is here guys." He called out, stepping into the kitchen. Two dorky heads stuck out from behind the arch and a wide grin formed on the boy's cheek.

"Jimin!" Jin called rushing to embrace the younger one in a hug, Namjoon following close behind. The older man smelt like gingerbread cookies, a scent he hasn't smelt in a long time.

"Hi hyung." He choked out. "Hyung, hyung, I can't breathe."

"Oh sorry." Jin smiled sheepishly before stepping back. He was wearing a comfy, tan sweater with a pale brown apron on top. "I'm making cookies. Wanna help?"

The blond smiled, his dimples making an appearance. It had been so long since he felt at home somewhere, a place where people cared for him. And Jin and Namjoon were basically his parents which was a bonus.

"Sure."

"Hoseok?" The boy called quietly into the spacious guest room. He could've sworn he saw the red head walk in here...

"Hyung?" A small voice, low and empty. Yoongi stepped in and closed the door before rounding the bed to find the younger boy with his legs crossed and a photo on his lap.

"Hoseok?" Yoongi repeated, worry tinging his voice. "What's wrong? What's happened?" He dropped next to him, crossing his legs, watching him intently. He peered past the boys slumped shoulders to the photo in his lap: it was recent, the colours bright. There were 2 smiling figures, one was Hoseok, smiling his sunshine smile next to a girl, a sweet girl who mirrored him and completed him perfectly.

"She broke up with me hyung." He whispered. Yoongi was confused, no doubt. The two of them were always so happy and smiley, what could possibly have gone wrong? "She thinks I like someone else, that I want to be with someone that's not her." The blue haired boy was silent which led the other to continue. "The problem is, I'm not even upset. Actually, I am. Wait, no... I don't know hyung." Finally he turned to face the older boy, and as soon as Yoongi saw his eyes, he knew he wasn't lying.

There were no traces of tears, no puffy eyes or red nose. Btu he did see a darkness in his eyes. It wasn't an evil darkness, it was an innocent kind. He looked so precious and confused, it hurt Yoongi. He sat there, next to a boy who was usually so happy and cheerful, someone who would always make him smile by just screaming some stupid sound effect.

"I'm not upset." Hoseok's suddenly determined voice broke Yoongi out of his stupor, making his brows furrow. It was his turn to be confused. What happened while he was trapped in his thoughts? "I'm not. And you know why?" A small smile lifted his features as he looked into the eyes of his confused hyung. "You know why hyung?" Yoongi gave his head a slight shake, low-key scared of how sudden this boy's mood lifted. "I don't need her.

"I have you."

Yoongi's shock must've shown because Hoseok chuckled before standing and sticking his hand out to his best friend. "You make me happy hyung. You and your want to be a rock." He couldn't help but laugh as he took the boy's hand. Hoseok pulled him up so hard that the motion caused Yoongi to tip forwards, falling into the red head's chest, almost toppling them over into the night stand.

"Geez Hoseok, why so rough?" He rumbled with a smile, pushing off the laughing boy quickly before patting his navy jeans as he attempted to hide the warmth blooming in his cheeks.

"Sorry hyung." He laughed more, the lightness of his voice bouncing off the walls, making Yoongi laugh too. It died off eventually, leaving the two wiping tears from their eyes.

"You'll be okay Hoseok." Yoongi said as they started towards the room door. Hoseok shouldered his hyung playfully before pushing the door open.

"Of course."

"Jungkook?" Taehyung called out to the seemingly empty apartment as he dropped his keys onto the shoe cabinet. Jungkook's were there, so he must've been home. "Jungkook?" He slipped his Gucci slippers off and walked towards Jungkook's slightly ajar room door. Peering in, he slapped a hand over his mouth to stop himself from laughing.

Jungkook lay dead to the world on his baby blue duvet, hugging a pillow to his chest. He looked so precious and innocent. The silver haired boy didn't realise he was staring until the boy stirred and jolted at the sight of the boy in his doorway.

"Holy shit, you scared me." His voice was a low grumble, doused in sleep. Taehyung couldn't help but smile as Jungkook sat up at the edge of his bed. He stepped over and sat himself beside the brunet, still trying to wake himself up.

"Are you going back?" Taehyung asked, looking down at his hands.

"Hm?" Jungkook was still slightly discombobulated from his noon nap.

"Home. Are you going home?" He turned to face the sleepy boy who was still adjusting to the brightness of the room.

"Oh." The brunet sniffed, a little cold from sleeping without his duvet. "Um, no, I'm not. I wasn't invited home. I don't think my family really cares for me anymore. My parents weren't even there to say bye to me the morning I left."

"Yeah." Taehyung muttered. Jungkook snapped his head to him with a very deep look of confusion in his eyes. "I mean, I know how you feel. When my parents found out I was gay, they kinda distanced themselves from me. And then they found out I cheated on my boyfriend," -he winced at the mention- "and they practically disowned me saying how I should be grateful that they even let me have a boyfriend."

"Mmhm." Jungkook nodded, agreeing. It's been so long since they sat down together and had a normal conversation. "So, if you're not going home, then are you going to-?"

"Yeah, I am. I'm guessing you are too?" Taehyung interrupted.

"Yeah." He sighed, smiling at his friend. "We should go. Have you packed?"

"Yep." Taehyung said popping up from the mattress. "We'll go in 10 minutes. Jin hyung is gonna pick us up."

"Cool." Jungkook said, stepping towards the bathroom to freshen up.

"Hey Kook?" Taehyung called, sticking his head into the doorway. Jungkook peered out from the bathroom, the tiles beneath his feet cool with the winter air.

"Yeah?"

"We're okay." Taehyung said, smiling a small smile.

"Yeah, we are." Jungkook smiled back before popping back into the bathroom, only to find a blushing brunet in his mirror.
