The sunlight was blinding and it would've been scorching hot if not for the sweet breeze hitting him from above. Jimin felt the coldest on his chest and noticed that he wasn't wearing a T-shirt and that his shorts from last night were still on.
Did Seulgi and I...?
No. No way. She isn't ready and wouldn't do that.
Right?
Her door was slightly ajar so he lifted himself off of his spot and walked to her door to check if she was there.
"Seulgi?" He knocked softly three times and internally winced at the sight of her. Her hair was slightly frizzy, probably from running her fingers through too many times.
Or maybe...
"Jimin." Her voice was soft and filled with worry and after approximately 1.7 seconds, her smooth arms were wrapped around his waist. Then, without warning, she stepped backwards really fast.
"What?" He panicked, arms flailing after a failed attempt at hugging her back.
"What's the day today?" She frowned.
"Saturday." She didn't seem to have gotten the answer that she wanted so he continued. "The Saturday before finals. We have a party at the Hyung Apartment tonight?"
"Okay." She whispered with a small smile of relief. Then he stepped forwards to hug her. She flinched at first, but relaxed quickly.
"Why are you acting so weird?" He asked. It was already 2pm, he guessed he just woke up late, but why would she be so scared?
"You don't remember." It wasn't a question. It was a statement. And he's heard it before.
"Did I...?" Jimin ran a distressed hand through his bed head, not knowing how to finish the sentence.
"Get stuck in a dream? Start screaming at me? Scare me more than half to death? Yes. Yes you did." Her tone wasn't harsh, but it was more like she had bundled all her stress up and was now releasing it on him.
"So I had an episode." He muttered under his breath, just barely audible for Seulgi to hear. "How did I get on the sofa?" He peered at her arms, so petite that he figured she wouldn't be able to get him up that easily.
"Do you not believe that I can lift you?" She crossed her arms and raised a brow.
"You lifted me?" He asked, his brows flying in the air.
"I would've." She muttered. "But I called Tae 'cause you freaked on me. I genuinely thought you were going to kill me." She spoke softly, staring at one spot on the ground. If she had laser eyes, there would be a clean hole in the floor.
"W-What did I say? What did I do?" He asked worriedly. She sat him down on the bed beside her and told him about his nightmare while sleeping and his murderer mode when he was half awake.
"Oh. I'm sorry." He tried making it sound genuine, but how could he when he didn't even realize it was him saying it?
"It's okay. You didn't know." She smiled and gave his hand a squeeze.
"What time is the party tonight?" He asked with a cough, trying to change the subject.
"Party?" Seulgi scoffed, standing and flopping herself on her study chair again. "Oh no hunny, we are not going to the party after what happened today. I don't want a repeat, thanks."
"What?" This party was probably the last thing keeping him sane before finals. "No we have to go!" He whined sulking and shuffling to her back that was now hunched over her notes again. He didn't go for the arm slide but instead straight for the fingers, smoothly slipping his fingers in and her pen out.
"Jimin." She sighed, exasperated. They weren't even dating and he's so clingy.
"Please." He half begged kissing her on the cheek.
"Okay just because you're hot and cute doesn't mean that you have to use it against me." Shrugging him off, she sat up as tall as she could, crossing her arms again, turning towards him.
"Please?" He repeated, hoping that she'll say yes. After a few moments of scanning and staring, she sighed and dropped her hands.
"Fine." She sat just as he started to celebrate. "Not because you're hot and cute, but because I feel bad. As long as you promise not to fall into an episode again. AKA no sleeping."
He stuck out his right pinkie and she raised a questioning brow, but didn't say anything and took the pinkie.
"Yay!" He celebrated before setting off into his room again.
Seulgi sighed and released the tension in her shoulders as she dropped her head backwards, using her feet to swing the chair from side to side.
"Why are you like this?" She whispered to herself, questioning Jimin and herself.
Why is Jimin so cute?
Why am I so gullible to him?
She stood up, unable to sit at the chair for any longer; her brain felt like it was going to explode. As she stood, she dropped the purple pen onto the desk with a clink. She watched as it rolled to the edge of the table and dropped to wedge itself between the wall and the desk.
"Are you serious." She groaned and bent down to get it. She peered in the gap and spied it quite far in. "Geez." She stretched her arm into the gap, wiggling her fingers in hopes of at least getting the tip of it.
Meanwhile, at the doorway, Jimin was enjoying the view.
Kind of.
He smirked and leaned casually against the wood, watching her struggle with the pen in her Nike shorts.
"Ahem." Seulgi jumped at the voice, banging the back of her head on the edge of the desk at the same time.
"Jesus Jimin." She sighed, rubbing the back of her head to minimize the pain. "How long have you been standing there for?"
"Long enough." He winked. Her cheeks burned a bright red and Jimin laughed stepping towards her.
"Did you need something?" She coughed as he dragged his fingers along the edge of her duvet.
"What're you wearing tonight?" He faced her again and took a deep breath to stop himself at laughing at her adorable guilty face. But that look vanished quickly when a smirk found its way to her pretty lips.
"You'll see."
