Two days later—

I laid down in bed and my phone buzzed.

Sweet Pea: can we talk?

Emerald: yeah sure.

Sweet Pea: meet me at the Whyte Wyrm

Emerald: Okay.

I shut off my phone when it buzzed again.

Dork: Hey gemmy

Gemmy: sup Char

Dork: busy?

Gemmy: sorry Char I am

Dork: aw Gemmy, I'll talk to you later Gemmy.

Gemmy: bye dork.

I grabbed my things and went to the Wyrm. I saw Sweet Pea sitting at the bar. "Hey.." I whispered softly. He turned and looked forward again. "I'm sorry my dad he.." "I know, Toni told me, that's why I texted you." "I'm so so sorry." He put his arm around me and kissed the top of my head. "I can't give up on you Em." I smiled and my phone started buzzing.

Dork: Hey I'm sorry if I'm crossing a line

Gemmy: What? Don't think that.

Dork: look behind you.

I turned around and I saw Charlie standing at the doors. "Charlie.." "Charlie?" Sweet Pea said confused. "Wait!! Charlie!" I ran after him and chased after him. "Charlie!" I called. "What Gemmy?" "I'm sorry..." "You told me you were single Gem." "I was! And then... he texted me and we made up, Charlie I was going to text you I swear!" "But Gemmy," I stood silent, "I feel like I fell in love with you Gem, and you're beautiful, smart, and intelligent." "Char..." "Don't Gem... you're a Serpent, I'm a Ghoulie. Things weren't bond to work out anyways." "Char!!" He walked away from me and it started raining. Sweet Pea came outside and found me crying against the wall of the Wyrm. "Hey, Em." He sat down next to me. "I wasn't completely honest about what happened after the race... I met a Ghoulie. He always wanted to be a Serpent but he's Malachi's son.. he told me he fell in love with me.. and he was crushed when he saw us in the Wyrm and you kissed my head. I went after him and he told me it wasn't meant to work out." "Em, do you like him back," "Sweet Pea, I love you. And yes Char he did fall in love with me. But I only see him as a friend." He kissed me and I kissed him back. "I need to fix my mess with him..."

Gemmy: can we talk please.

Dork: what

Gemmy: I'm so sorry

Dork: it doesn't matter anymore.

Gemmy: Char...

Dork: sorry Gem. I do love you. But I can't say that while you're with him

Gemmy: I'm sorry Char.
