You took a breath, immediately seeing your breath in the cold air contrast with the white coated ground.

You turned your foot on the salt ground, the pressure releasing a red tint as you positioned yourself.

You balled your fists and brought them up to your face, protecting yourself as you stood sideways before Kylo. You lifted your back leg, swinging it in his direction while your front foot turned accordingly.

He caught your ankle simply, but you used a Force-Trick that he had taught you just a few hours prior and spun around, defying gravity as you loosened yourself from his grip and landing unsteady on your feet

"Good. You are getting quicker"

You smirked at him as he nodded in approval "I think I was always faster than you" watching the confusion on his face you attacked again, throwing numerous punches but ultimately hitting his unraveled hand to no avail. You took steps toward him while he took steps back, and after you had distracted him with a few punches, you brought your knee up to strike him in the groin

You stopped before you hit skin, luckily for him, but he realized then that you had won, and let up reluctantly.

"Your first win against me?" He taunted with a smile. You had been training on Crait for a few days now, sparring and learning in a continuous cycle.

He chose Crait amount other planets because it was an old resistance base, and one with a big metal door. During the annihilation of the Resistance a year prior, the First Order had used a power weapon to break open the door, but had since turned the old fort into a heavily armored First Order port.

"Surprised? It only took me a few days"

"I'm not surprised" he shook his head "we had fought previously"

"I remember. I beat you back then, too" you taunted, sticking your tongue out

"I let you beat me." He protested "did you think that the infamous Jedi Killer would lose against some twenty -year-old Bounty Hunter?" He questioned, rubbing his gloved hands together.

" You're teaching me to become just as strong as you, remember? " You reminded him. "On that note, why are we still sparring?"

"Combat is incredibly different than Jedi fighting. There are different types of lightsaber combat fighting, but that's for another time"

You nodded your head "so you are teaching me. . . Force-Fighting?"

"I am teaching you how to incorporate the Force into your fighting. You are already skilled at hand to hand combat, so we will most likely spend a day or two more on this lesson"

"Thats fine with me. I'm just glad to be on Solid Ground" you smiled simply, feeling the cool breeze on your cheeks.

Kylo's face turned urgent as he spotted something from the distance, in the direction of the base. You turned and saw what seemed to be Archex, signaling for his return by jumping and waving his arms.

Kylo furrowed his eyebrows. "Stay here. I'll be back soon" he said, touching your shoulder as he trotted away, leaving you completely alone.

You picked up his black lightsaber off of the ground where he had sat it in a little like next to his cape. You felt around the heavy black metal, tossing it from one hand to another and studying the grayish black burn marks on each of the openings.

The hilt of the saber was incredibly cold, but it wasn't due to the snowy atmosphere on Crait. You had held the saber a few times before, but you had no intention of lighting it.
