A few weeks later
Jahseh was saying something important, but you couldn't keep your eyes off of Kylo's
As you stared back at him, his soft hands in yours as the Naboo sunset danced upon his golden skin, you thought about everything you had ever done with him. All the terrible things you did together, ranging from fighting and kissing, killing and living. All of it was terrible.
Old memories flooded back into your head, all the things you had done with him ranging from killing the infamous darth maul, attending council meetings, learning abouy your past and of course, beginning a family. It was all happening so quickly
And yet here you were, still completely captivated by him and all of his puzzles. He was a beautiful mystery to you, one that you were sure to figure out.
And just a year ago you were living on an old spaceship, alone and comoletely numb to anything. You had been through it all. Captivity, torture, hunger, heartbreak, excitement, failure-- everything. And it all came back to this moment
This exact moment when you looked into his eyes, into the endless pools of what used to be pain and suffering; now turned into peace and serenity. You knew this new life of yours would be abything but peaceful. You had to raise a child among a galaxy wide war, while also maintaining Chandrilla and all of its glory.
You wanted to look down at your hands folded in his, to watch the blue stones on your finger as they twinkled in the sunset, but you couldnt move. You were completely paralyzed by him.
You realized, now, that you would never be able to part with him. Not after what you had done for eachother. You had made a blood vow to him and he has spilled blood to prove his love to you. No matter what he did, No matter how many times he shut you out or hurt you; the temper tantrums and his hotheadedness wouldn't get to you. You promised yourself that you would be there to soothe every tantrum, wipe every tear, and knock some sense into him when he needed it.
Kylo was a damaged man. He had a fractured mind and the heart to go with it. You knew you couldnt fix that- half of his heart was missing.
But what you could do was offer your heart to him until he got his to beat again.
Metaphorically, of course.
Finally, Jahseh said something that caught your attention.
". . .And as Darkness rose, and light came to meet it, you have created something new. Something beyond grey, beyond anything ever seen. You have brought peace to the force. And as I wed you today, and your two souls intertwine to become one, you make a promise. More than a promise to just yourself, you make a promise to the Universe. In sickness and in health, in anger and happiness, no matter what obstacles arise, you must face them together. you promise that you will maintain the balance."
He stopped and looked to you, entranced in Kylo's eyes and barely paying attention. A soft smile found his face as he saw your mother in your features.
"May you live in happiness until death shall do you part."
With that, he folded the piece of parchment in which his speech was written and placed it in his chest pocket. He bowed to you both, a sign of obvious respect for the new leaders of the Galactic Resistance, and then walked away.
He left you alone with Kylo for the remainder of the private ceremony. Beside you where Jahseh was standing, you could hear the crystal waters crashing against the shore beneath you.
You leaned in for one last kiss as an unmarried woman. Before your lips enclosed on each other, he stopped to say something.
"Until death do us part, Y/N." He said softly, gripping your hands tighter "I love you" he finished in a hparse whisper, his lips brushing against yours
"I love you" you returned, and then pressed your lips on his, the feeling of his warmth and love being obvious as your lips moved in a perfect sync.
And as you kissed, the sun on Naboo set on your lips, corteously bowing the the bringers of balance.

"This whole time I thought it was me. . . I thought I would bring balance to the force but I was wrong" Rey began
You cringed, a knot building in your more apparently swollen belly.
She smiled and looked down, laughing at her foolishness "but I was wrong. It's You and Ben and your child that will really bring the balance. I'm just a Jedi" she laughed softly.
You grabbed her wrist, reassuring her "Thats not true" you raised your eyebrows "we are the last of the Force there is. All of us equally matter"
"But your child. ." she became excited "could you imagine the power? The perfect mix of dark and light. And not to mention the parents" her quirky accent added.
"God, you sound like Snoke." You scoffed and smiled, releasing her and crossing your legs. "You can be sure that my kid's gonna get a big butt-whoopin if it even thinks about joining the First Order"
Rey laughed, her top lip disappearing and revealing a row of perfect pearly teeth. "I think Ben's gonna be sure that won't happen."
"I hope so" you sighed. "If he lets that happen I'll make sure he gets a butt-whoopin' too"
And you both laughed.
