Perhaps it was the cold air of the Star Destroyer that made you feel as if there was ice rushing through you, or perhaps it was the awkwardness that seemed to permeate throughout Parnia's cell.
You were only happy they weren't treating her like a prisoner. She had an identical cell to yours, the only difference was she didnt wear the black jersey jacket and dark grey leggings. She kept the traditional Chandrillian white gown-style drapes.
You leaned against the wall, your legs crossed over one another and your arms crossed as well. Parnia sat on the edge of her bed, staring back up at you
"I know you have questions. I know That's why I'm here." She asked, surpsising you since you thought her first instincts would be to ask for freedom. You took a deep breath, trying to remember the words that seemed to echo in your mind.
"Here" you ignored her and reached into your pocket, pulling out the folded piece of parchment ans handing it to her as she took it eagerly.
She ripped it open and scanned the paper from top to bottom, digesting each of the words with a quivering lip as she, after twenty-two years, finally learned the truth of what had happened to her sister.
You watched her emotional face intentky, wondering what it was like to lose something .
Kylo. You remimded yourself
I could lose Kylo to the Force.
Whatever that meant, anyway. You knew deep down that you belonged with the Light. Maybe it was the countless hours youd spent talking to Princess Leia about the Allied Powers and how it would bring an end to the First Order once and for all. You knew that you had worked your whole life to finesse the First Order but now you were subjected to it. To Kylo, who coukd still turn either way.
It didnt matter anyway. You had convinced yourself that you would follow Kylo to wherever he wanted to go. Dark Side or the Light, as long as it meant being with him you didn't care because you would always know that there would still be goodness in him no matter what he chose.
But still, you secretly wanted him to join you in the Light.
"I cant believe this" Parnia startled you "I knew she loved him but I never thought she had the audacity to do that"
"What exactly did she do?" You watched her avert her eyes and inhale
"My recollections point to her running away with Sarlo Fett. They had been in love for a few years but out father didnt approve of a Princess marrying a Bounty Hunter so he told her she could forhet him or be disowned. I suppose she chose him."
"And how exactly did she meet him?"
"Few people knew your mother was a Jedi. We kept it a secret because we knew somebody would go after her and- well, we were right"
"He tried to kill her?" You asked eagerly
"Yeah" the colloquial tone slightly shocked you, but you soon remembered that Parnia was only in her mid thirties. "It was a love at first sight kind of thing. She used to tell me all about it"
It made you smile. A Bounty Hunter and a Princess. It seemed like it was meant to be. Complete opposites.
"Are you?" Parnia burrowed her thick dark brown eyebrows that didnt match her white hair "like Luna?"
"Meaning?" You shook your head
"A Jedi?" She seemed hopeful
"No. Im not. I dont want to be." You felt yourself beginning to get angry.
